OCEANSIDE - William D. Bungard, 93, died Saturday, June 10, 2000, at Sunbridge Care & Rehabilitation in Oceanside.
Born July 4, 1906, in Germany, he lived in Oceanside for 27 years. He worked for Alcoa Aluminum Corporation for 18 years and retired from Ironworkers Local 17 after 26 years.
Mr. Bungard is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mildred Bungard of Oceanside; daughter Marilyn Carter of Oceanside; grandchildren Sandra Robled, Larry and Nancy Van Dyke, and Judy and Jim Bartlett; and great-grandchildren Ricky, Kyle, Joshua, Samantha, Blake, Sarah and Lindsey.
A nicheside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 19, at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, with the Rev. David Plank officiating. Inurnment will follow.

ESCONDIDO - Helen "Gram" Jean Eason, 83, died Monday, June 12, 2000, in Escondido.
Born April 6, 1917, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, she lived in Escondido for 55 years. She was the cafeteria manager at Grant School for 19 years.
Mrs. Eason was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Walter Alexander Eason, in 1971. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Kendra Eason of Concord; daughters Nancy Dodds Eason of Pleasant Hills and Marie Humphrey of Escondido; grandchildren Michelle Fosse of Fairfax, Va., Nichole Chase of Temecula, Lani Eason and Paul Eason, both of Concord, Tiffany Humphrey of Escondido; and great-grandchildren Madison, Katie and Jonathon.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 15, at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary. A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, June 16, at Hidden Valley Christian Church, with the Rev. Pete Mayfield officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Arvine Sering, 74
ESCONDIDO - Arvine Earl "Duke" Sering, 74, died Friday, June 2, 2000, of cancer.
Born Aug. 11, 1925, in Indianapolis, he lived in Escondido for 65 years. He was a heavy equipment operator for Cal Trans, retiring in 1977.
Mr. Sering is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ollie Sering of Escondido; son Rick Sering of Vista; daughters and sons-in-law Marsha and Bob Maggard and Linda and Clarence Champ, all of Salt Lake City; brother Herbert "Duke" Sering of Muldrou, Okla.; sister Gladys Hamilton of San Diego; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
No service will be held at the request of the deceased. A private cremation is planned.

Thomas Hennley, 80
SAN DIEGO - Thomas H. Hennley, 80, died Monday, June 12, 2000, at Alvarado Hospital.
Born April 1, 1920, in Muskegon, Mont., he lived in San Diego for three years and had lived in Vista for 25 years. He was a barber and owned his own shop for 38 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Hennley is survived by his wife, Geraldine E. Hennley of San Diego; daughters and son-in-law Mary T. and Robert Ross of San Diego and Katherine A. Mobley of Elsinore; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, June 15, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in La Mesa. A private cremation is planned with scattering of cremains at sea by the U.S. Navy.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Darlene F. Gose, 79, died Wednesday, June 7, 2000, at Providence Alaska Medical Center.
Born May 10, 1921, near Shaw, Colo., she graduated from high school in Arriba, Colo., and attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colo. She worked for the public school system in Wrangel and Anchorage, where she managed the audio visual center and was the purchasing agent for several schools. She retired in 1975. She lived in Escondido until 1998.
Mrs. Gose was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, in April of this year; and her son, Gary Lee. She is survived by her sons, Terry H. Gose and John B. Gose, both of Anchorage; daughter Janet D. Patch of Anchorage; daughters-in-law Susan Black-Gose and Patty J. Gose, both of Anchorage; one brother of Bruce, Wis.; two sisters, one of Santa Monica and one of Denver; and grandchildren Ashle, Britne and Morgan Gose and Stephen and Michael Gose, all of Anchorage.

ESCONDIDO - Roland DeVere Frazier, 75, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, at his home.
Born Aug. 17, 1924, in Missouri, he lived in Escondido for seven years. He was a freelance writer and did advertising for J. Walter Thompson for 20 years before retiring. He served in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945 and was the owner of the Palace Hotel in Manchester Centre, Vt. He helped create the Pillsbury Doughboy trademark.
Mr. Frazier is survived by his daughters, Gail Lucco of New Jersey and Kenna Ortega of San Diego.
A private cremation with Interment is planned.

VALLEY CENTER - Irene P. Kramer, 86, died Wednesday, May 24, 2000, in Escondido.
Born Sept. 28, 1913, in Lamar, Colo., she lived in Valley Center for 20 years. She worked in aviation for Rockwell International for 22 years.
Mrs. Kramer is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Joyce Kramer of Valley Center, Richard and Alice Kramer of Fullerton and Karl and Nicky Kramer of San Clemente; sisters Millie Walker of Oregon and Gertie Macumber of Kansas; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Nicholson is survived by her husband of 67 years, L.G. Nicholson of San Marcos; nine children; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Born March 31, 1972, in Lakewood, he lived in Temecula for six years. He was a graduate of Gahr High School in Cerritos and was a service sales representative for the Cinths Corporation in Vista for six years.
Mr. Hierholzer is survived by his wife, Lisa Hierholzer of Temecula; mother Jeannie Aston of Inverness, Fla.; father Michael Hierholzer of Lakewood; sisters Jennifer Aston of Ohio, Brandy Aston and Sarah Aston, both of Inverness; and grandmother Ida Hierholzer of Lakewood.

VISTA - William F. Goemann, 83, died Sunday, June 11, 2000, in San Diego.
Born Aug. 21, 1916, in Kansas, he lived in Vista for 38 years. He was an avocado rancher, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd Degree, Vista Elks Club and California Coastal Rose Society.
Mr. Goemann was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Goemann, on Oct. 6, 1994. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Pat and Olivia Goemann of Vista; daughters Mary Louise Bednasek of La Mesa, Kathleen Bevilacqua of Carlsbad and Connie and Joe Smith of Vista; and seven grandchildren.

Mrs. Redmond was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Duffy Redmond. She is survived by her daughters, Judy Ivie of San Diego and Janie Beckham of Dayton, Ohio; son Robert Duffy Redmond Jr. of Minnesota; brother James Scott Judy of Louisville, Ky.; and grandparents Christopher and Matthew Beckham and Ryan Redmond.

Born Oct. 16, 1921, in Lincoln County, Neb., she lived in Escondido for 13 years. She was a retail clerk for Safeway stores for 40 years before retiring.
Mrs. Hickman is survived by her husband of 61 years, Vinton Eugene Hickman of Escondido; sons and daughters-in-law Delwyn E. and Donna Hickman of San Diego and Daryl V. and Deanna Hickman of Oceanside; grandchildren David Hickman, Dave Hickman and Denise Barker; and great-grandchildren Aimee and Meagan.

Mrs. Jaek was preceded in death by her husband, Sheridan William Jaek, on Feb. 8, 1998. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley A. Finley of Ramona; and grandchildren Michael David McComack of Vista and Deborah Sue McComack of Ramona.
