Colleen Taylor, 34

CLEARFIELD, Utah - Colleen Ann Taylor, 34, died Thursday, March 2, 2000, at her home.

Born Oct. 6, 1965, at Camp Pendleton, she lived in Clearfield for more than 10 years. She worked for Leverly Home Entertainment.

Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her mother, Ellen Hamilton. She is survived by her husband, Larry Taylor of Clearfield; parents Laura and James Howerton of Escondido; son Ryan Lee Taylor of Clearfield; daughter Chari Reene of Clearfield; and brothers James Hamilton of Oceanside and Shawn Hamilton of Ogden, Utah.

A funeral service took place Tuesday, March 7, at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary in Clearfield.

Rose Marie Roman, 60
VISTA - Rose Marie Roman, 60, died Monday, March 6, 2000, at Tri-City Medical Center.

Born Dec. 3, 1939, in Montana, she lived in Vista for 37 years. She was a nurse for 42 years and served as a private first class in the U.S. Army from June 1958 to March 1960.

Mrs. Roman is survived by her sons, Edward Roman of Cincinnati, Patrick Roman of Escondido, Christopher Roman of Oceanside and Duane Roman of San Diego; daughter Maretta Roman of Vista; brother Tommy Perizeau of Anaconda, Mont.; sisters Angela Anderson of Clio, Mich., and Virginia Perizeau of Anaconda; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation and viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 13, at Eternal Hills Mortuary. A graveside service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, with the Rev. Gary Comer officiating. Burial will follow with military honors.

Eternal Hills Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Ida Barnes, 92

RANCHO BERNARDO - Ida M. Barnes, 92, died Tuesday, March 7, 2000, at Pomerado Hospital.

Born Sept. 22, 1907, in Rolla, N.D., she lived in Rancho Bernardo for three years. She was a homemaker. She also worked for the civil service at Rock Island Arsenal in Illinois and for the Treasury Department in Washington, D.C. She was a member of the Christian Women's Group, Ceramics Club and an honorary member of Eastern Star Malta Chapter 415 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her husband, Ray E. Barnes, in 1991. She is survived by her sons, Roy Barnes of Kirkland, Wash., and Larry Barnes of Renton, Wash.; daughters Guinevere Dudley of Shell Knob, Mo., and Alice Curry of Escondido; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A private family memorial service is planned and a private inurnment will take place in Shell Knob.

The family suggests memorial donations to Elizabeth Hospice, 150 W. Crest St., Escondido, CA 92025.

Robert Mitchell, 82

OCEANSIDE - Robert M. Mitchell, 82, died Monday, March 6, 2000, in La Jolla.

Born March 24, 1917, in Ohio, he lived in Oceanside for two years.

Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife of 53 years, Miriam Mitchell of Oceanside; daughters and sons-in-law Barbara and Dan Bledsoe of Washington and Elizabeth Donovan and Stuart Barasch of La Jolla; sisters and brother-in-law Clora Mills of Illinois and Emily and John Houser of Colorado; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A private cremation is planned.

Eternal Hills Mortuary is handling arrangements.

George Calvert, 78

ESCONDIDO - George E. Calvert, 78, died Monday, March 6, 2000, at his home.

Born Aug. 10, 1921, in Erie, Pa., he lived in Escondido since 1962. He worked for United Dairy and served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945.

Mr. Calvert is survived by his sons, Dave Calvert, James Calvert and Samuel Calvert, all of Escondido; daughter Edith Kuhn of Escondido; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Burial will take place at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in Point Loma.

The family suggests memorial donations to the Veterans Administration, San Diego, CA 92101.

Juan Bucaroff, 80

SAN MARCOS - Juan Mojoff Bucaroff, 80, died Monday, March 6, 2000, at a local convalescent home.

Born Nov. 17, 1919, in Valle de Guadalupe, Ensenada, Mexico, he lived in San Diego County for 41 years. He was a cowboy and a rancher for the Prohoroff Chicken Ranch in San Marcos.

Mr. Bucaroff is survived by his wife of 58 years, Hazel Bucaroff of San Marcos; sons and daughters-in-law Alex and Cindy Bucaroff of Temecula, Max and Diane Bucaroff of Lindsay, Bill "Voss" Bucaroff and Andre and Diane Bucaroff, all of San Marcos; daughter and son-in-law Manya and Michael Prohov of Los Angeles; sisters Nora Belikof, Berta Samaduroff and Katalina Dalgoff, all of Los Angeles; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held all evening today, March 9, at San Marcos Molokan Church in San Marcos. Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 10, at San Marcos Cemetery.

Ollie Cassity, 91

VISTA - Ollie C. Cassity, 91, died Tuesday, March 7, 2000.

Born May 8, 1908, in Oklahoma, he lived in Vista. He was retired.

Mr. Cassity is survived by his wife, Thelma Cassity; stepson Herman McGill; and stepdaughter Dee Carter.

Kimiko Wilson, 76

DEL MAR - Kimiko Wilson, 76, died Sunday, March 5, 2000.

Born May 20, 1923, in Imperial Valley, she lived in San Diego County. She was a housewife.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by her brother, Jimmy Tsuji; and sister Shizuye Uchiyama.

Frieda Blazsur, 78

RANCHO BERNARDO - Frieda Blazsur, 78, died Monday, March 6, 2000.

Born Nov. 30, 1921, in Germany, she lived in Rancho Bernardo for 15 years. She was a homemaker and a volunteer at the Rancho Bernardo Senior Center. She was a member of the San Rafael Parish and the American Airlines Vanguard Retirement Club.

Mrs. Blazsur was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Blazsur, in September 1998. She is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Blazsur.

A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, March 10, at San Rafael Parish in Rancho Bernardo. A private cremation is planned.

North County Cremation is handling arrangements.

Pauline Carr, 72

FALLBROOK - Pauline Alice Carr, 72, died Saturday, March 4, 2000, in Fallbrook.

Born July 17, 1927, in Waukegan, Ill., she lived in Fallbrook for 10 years. She was a bookkeeper for Crown Auto Body Shop for 12 years.

Mrs. Carr is survived by her husband of 53 years, Eugene H. Carr of Fallbrook; daughters Diane L. Knickerbocker of Crystal Lake, Ill., Suzanne C. Sanchez of Leucadia and Nancy S. Alvord of Gualala; and grandchildren Kara Knickerbocker, Zoe Sanchez and Jesse Alvord.

A private family memorial service is planned.

Harry Farmer, 70

ENCINITAS - Harry Arthur Farmer, 70, died Friday, March 3, 2000, in Encinitas.

Born Sept. 30, 1929, in Belleville, Mich., he lived in Encinitas for 10 years. He served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army with Signal Corp. in Korea and Vietnam, retiring on Dec. 31, 1967, and receiving the Army Commendation Medal and United Nations Service Medal.

Mr. Farmer is survived by his stepdaughter, Amornrat Saokaew of Kehl-Goldscheuer, Germany; brothers John W. Farmer of Seattle and Patrick L. Farmer of Encinitas; nephews Brian Farmer and Richard Robinson, both of Encinitas and Patrick Molenaar of Escondido; and niece Melinda DroneBure of Escondido.

Inurnment will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, March 17, at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.

North County Cremation is handling arrangements.

Reynold Lyyjoki, 49

FALLBROOK - Reynold Edwin Lyyjoki, 49, died Friday, March 3, 2000, in Fallbrook.

Born Aug. 30, 1950, in Chicago, he lived in Fallbrook for 26 years. He was a firefighter/EMT for the North County Fire Protection District for 20 years and a member of the Fallbrook Firefighter Association. He served in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Lyyjoki is survived by his son, Rey E. Lyyjoki of El Cajon; sister Irja Paurus of Minneapolis; and three grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 11, at the Fallbrook First Baptist Church, with Chaplain Charles Glasgow of North County Fire Protection officiating. Inurnment will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Leonard Nylund, 93

SUN CITY - Leonard Arthur Nylund, 93, died Monday, March 6, 2000, from complications of Alzheimer's disease, at Community Care on Palm.

Born July 28, 1906, in Telluride, Colo., he lived in Sun City for 35 years. He worked for Standard Veneer Timber Co. for 10 years and was a member of the Elks Club.

Mr. Nylund is survived by his wife of 44 years, AnnaBelle Nylund of Sun City; son Arthur Nylund of Walnut Creek; daughters Vivian Heiler of Medford, N.J., and Marjorie Nylund of Lincoln, Ore.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 13, at Perris Valley Cemetery, with the Rev. Judith Stone officiating.

Agnes Tannehill, 99

PASADENA - Agnes Mae Tannehill, 99, died Saturday, March 4, 2000, at Park Marino Health Center.

Born Oct. 31, 1900, in Fremont, Neb., she lived in Pasadena for seven years and previously lived in Sun City. She was a homemaker for 75 years and a member and auxiliary president of the American Legion.

Mrs. Tannehill is survived by her son, Langdon Tannehill of Azusa; daughter Beverly Mueller of Arcadia; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Burial will take place at Riverside National Cemetery.

Dorothy Reidt, 81

CANYON LAKE - Dorothy "Dottie" Christine Reidt, 81, died Monday, March 6, 2000, of cancer, at her home.

Born Oct. 28, 1918, in Wabasha, Minn., she lived in Canyon Lake for 28 years. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church for 26 years. She was also a member of the Elks Club and was a Lioness and a member of the Canyon Lake Women's Club.

Mrs. Reidt is survived by her husband, Adolph Reidt of Canyon Lake; sons Craig Reidt of Redondo Beach, David Reidt of Lomita, James Reidt of Granite Bay and Thomas Reidt of Ranchos Palos Verde; sister Rosala Nelson of Sun City; and 12 grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today, March 9, at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church. Burial will take place at Green Hills Memorial Park.

Dorothy McNally, 89

MURRIETA - Dorothy Marie McNally, 89, died Friday, March 3, 2000, of a cerebrovascular accident.

Born June 8, 1910, in East Providence, R.I., she lived in Murrieta for five years.

Mrs. McNally is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Karen McNally of Murrieta, William and Florence McNally of Clearwater, Fla., and Larry McNally of Lawrenceville, Ga.; grandchildren Bill McNally of Odessa, Fla., Steven and Larry McNally of Largo, Fla., Mark and Larry McNally and Lisa McNally, both of Lawrenceville; and great-grandchildren Lauren and Morgan McNally.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 10, at Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m.
