Born Jan. 3, 1996, in Fallbrook, he lived in Oceanside for four years.
Jonathan is survived by his mother and father, Zita and Badu Licea of Oceanside; grandparents Raul and Alma Salgado of Ensenada, Mexico, and Ray Licea of San Diego; and godparents David and Norma Garcia of Escondido.
Visitation and viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. today, March 14, at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment

Margaret Frye, 84
DEL MAR - Margaret Frye, 84, died Friday, March 10, 2000, at Mission Bay Memorial Hospital in San Diego.
Born Nov. 25, 1915, in Marshall, Ill., she lived in Del Mar since 1950. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Solana Beach and Del Mar Garden Club. She was a part-time employee of the Del mar Fair photography department.
Mrs. Frye was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Frye, in 1990. She is survived by her sons Bruce Frye and Christopher Frye, both of Santa Cruz; daughters Janet Freya of San Diego and Linda Burnham of Saxapahaw, N.C.; brother, George Logue of Bartelsville, Okla.; sister Mary Catherine Youker of Visalia; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 18, at St. James Catholic Church in Solana Beach.

ENCINITAS - Edward R. Johnson, 77, died Friday, March 10, 2000, at Scripps memorial Hospital in Encintas.
Born May 23, 1922, in Castle Gate, Utah, he lived in Encinitas for 25 years. He was a self-employed tree-trimming contractor.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Lorraine H. Johnson of Encinitas; son Ralph Johnson of San Diego; daughter and son-in-law Carol and Brad Goodrich of Arcadia; brothers Dean C. Johnson of Arcadia, Leon C. Johnson of Edgewater, Md., and Gerald H. Johnson of Dana Point; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m., followed by a funeral service is 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Lake Drive in Cardiff. A private Interment is planned at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier.

RANCHO BERNARDO - Ida M. Barnes, 92, died Tuesday, March 7, 2000, at Pomerado Hospital.
Born Sept. 22, 1907, in Rolla, N.D., she lived in Rancho Bernardo for three years. She was a homemaker and a volunteer for the civil service in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She worked at Rock Island Arsenal in Rock Island, Ill., and for the Treasury Department in Washington, D.C. She was a member of Christian Women's Group, Ceramics Club and was an honorary member of Eastern Star Malta Chapter 415 in Cedar Rapids.
Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Barnes, in 1991. She is survived by her sons, Roy Barnes Jr. of Kirkland, Wash., and Larry Barnes of Renton, Wash.; daughters Guinevere Dudley of Shell Knob, Mo., and Alice Curry of Escondido; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
A private family memorial service was held. A private inurnment took place in Shell Knob, Mo.

Born May 25, 1944, in Culver City, she lived in Oceanside for eight years.
Mrs. DeLeon is survived by her husband of 36 years, Felix DeLeon of Oceanside; sons and daughter-in-law Douglas DeLeon of Highland and Michael and Judey DeLeon of Vista; brothers Kenneth McJimsey of Buena Park and Robert McJimsey of Victorville; and grandson Jeremy DeLeon of Vista.

Mr. Ebeling is survived by his wife, AnneMarie Ebeling of Del Mar; and son Rolf Ebeling.

Born April 18, 1927, in Upton, Mass., she lived in Rancho Bernardo for 34 years. She was a buyer for McKesson & Robbins wholesale drugs for 26 years before retiring and a member of Hope United Methodist Church in Rancho Bernardo.
Mrs. Burns is survived by her husband of 23 years, William T. Burns of Rancho Bernardo.
A funeral service will be held at Williams Funeral Home in Upton, Mass. Burial will take place Friday, March 17, at Lakeview Cemetery in Upton.

Robert Gray, 83
SAN MARCOS - Robert Gray, 83, died Friday, March 3, 2000, of heart disease and diabetes, at Tri-City Medical Center.
Born Oct. 2, 1916, in Placious, Texas, he lived in San Marcos for 50 years. He owned a rabbitry from 1950 to 1985 and worked for Union Local 12, retiring in 1978. He was a private first class in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a heavy equipment operator for Union Local 12.
Mr. Gray is survived by his wife of 54 years, Winifred Gray of San Marcos; sons Robert Gray of San Diego and Don Gray of Beverly Hills; daughters Kathy Gray of Redway and Earleen Gray of Escondido; brother Garland Gray of Plymouth Village; and grandchildren Savannah Gray and Jesse Gray.
A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 23, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, with the Rev. George Dunkley officiating. A private cremation is planned.

Born Feb. 18, 1917, in Belt, Mont., she lived in San Marcos for six years. She was a a self-employed real estate developer and a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Escondido and the Democratic Party Gray Panthers in San Diego.
Mrs. Malcolm was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard A. Malcolm, in 1984. She is survived by her son and daughters-in-law, Leonard G. and Dr. Victoria Vegara Malcolm of Mexico City, Mexico; and grandsons Marico Malcolm of London and Patrico Malcolm of Paris.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Escondido. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Calvary Cemetery in Los Angeles. A private cremation is planned.

VISTA - Leslie George VanDusen, 92, died Thursday, March 9, 2000, at his home.
Born July 3, 1900, in Buffalo, N.Y., he lived in Vista for 23 years. He was the personnel director for Kaneohe Travel Agency and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Vista Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International. He was named Rotarian of the Year for 1999.
Mr. VanDusen is survived by his wife of 60 years, Doris VanDusen of Vista; daughters Linda Sue Boyle of Chula Vista and Beverly Joan Konapka of Pinole; grandchildren Jennifer Boyle of Chula Vista, Michael Pasley and Michele Pasley Strysko, both of Northern California; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 16, at the Derby Room of Vista Entertainment Center. A private cremation is planned with cremains to be scattered at sea.
