FALLBROOK - Dorotha Louise Anderson, 83, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001.
Born March 6, 1917, in Greendale, Ohio, she lived in Fallbrook for 24 years. She was an executive secretary for nine years at Glendale Savings & Loan. She was a member of the Fallbrook Hospital District Auxilliary and a member of the National Secretary's Association.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband of 32 years, George F. Anderson of Fallbrook; one nephew; and two nieces.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Rancho Monserate Park Club House. A private cremation with scattering is planned.

Denis Bourdon, 42
OCEANSIDE - Denis Israel Bourdon, 42, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001.
Born Dec. 17, 1958, in Buffalo, N.Y., he lived in Oceanside for eight years. He was a sales representative for Monterey Financial Services.
Mr. Bourdon is survived by his mother, Joyce Bourdon of New York; daughters Michelle Renee Bourdon and Ashley Marie Bourdon, both of Oceanside; brother Robert Bourdon of Texas; and sister Wilma Ring of Ohio.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 3, at Oceanside Mortuary. A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, March 5, at Mission San Luis Rey Church. Interment
will be at a later date.

Edward Morton, 80
CARLSBAD - Edward W. Morton, 80, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, at his residence.
Born June 12, 1920, in Muskogee, Okla., he lived in Carlsbad and North County for 12 years. He was a retired director of adult education for the Los Angeles School District. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Consuelo Masonic Lodge 325 in Escondido, Santa Monica Sunset Lodge and Smithsonian Institute.
Mr. Morton is survived by his wife of 62 years, Katherine Morton of Carlsbad and sister Naomi Williams of Benson, Ariz.
A inurnment will be at a later date at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in Point Loma.

Robert Todd, 71
CARLSBAD - Robert L. ³Bobby² Todd, 71, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, in Santee.
Born July 13, 1929, in Oceanside, he lived in Carlsbad for 34 years.
He retired in 1986 from Teledyne Ryan Aeronautical. He was a member of Anacapa Lodge 710, Scottish Rite Valley of San Diego, Al Bahr Temple and the San Diego American Legion.
Mr. Todd was preceded in death by his mother Mary B. Todd, father John W. Todd and brother Buddy Todd. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Betty Todd of Carlsbad; son and daughter-in-law Brett and Diane Todd of Fresno; brother and sister-in-law Jack and Carol Todd of Washington; sisters and brothers-in-law Mary Jane and Edward ³Bill² Moneypenny of Oceanside and Virginia and Brodie Ernenwein of San Jose; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at Eternal Hills Mortuary Chapel. Inurnment is planned for a later date at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.

Shirley Diehl, 79
SPOKANE, Washington - Shirley (Bruce) Diehl, 79, died, Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2001.
Born in Wellington, New Zealand, she lived in Spokane. She lived in Oceanside and Wellington, New Zealand, for many years before moving to Spokane in 1990. Her husband was stationed at Camp Pendleton for many years. She worked as an assembly line manager.
Mrs. Diehl is survived by her husband of 57 years, Albert Diehl of Spokane; daughters Tracey Dalzell of Spokane and Sandra Bruce of Washington, DC; and granddaughter Peta Dalzell of Australia.
No services were held at the request of the deceased.

OCEANSIDE - Elsie Louise Shaw, 87, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation.
Born May 10, 1913, in Texas, she lived in Oceanside for two years.
She was a homemaker for 35 years.
Ms. Shaw is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Patrick Lilly of Vista; grandchildren Jonathan and Mary Lilly of Vista; great-grandchildren Serina Lilly of Vista and Trisha Razzolini of San Diego; and great-great-granddaughter Desteny Razzolini of San Diego.
Burial will be held at a later date at Eternal Hills Memorial Park. A private cremation is planned.

Jack F. Brown, 84
OCEANSIDE - Jack F. Brown, 84, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2001, in his home of cancer.
Born July 25, 1916, in Flint, Mich., he lived in Oceanside for 20 years. He graduated from Eagle Rock High School and Los Angeles Trade College.
He worked for the Covina Valley School District as an administrator and teacher, retiring after 19 years. He owned and operated Brown's Radio, Television and Appliance in Baldwin Park for 10 years.
He worked for the U.S. Army as a civilian in 1940, installing new radar in warplanes, then enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a sonar technician, installing sonar in submarines and warships. He reached the rank of petty officer second class.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church for 20 years. He enjoyed music and sang in the church choir and several gospel quartets.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his son, Jason Kent Brown and granddaughter Katrina Brownell. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bunny Brown of Oceanside; sons Jack Francis Brown Jr. and wife Julie Van Pelt Brown of St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands; daughter and son-in-law Patricia Diane and Stephen Brownell of Upland; grandchildren Jeremy David, Stephanie Dawn, Jonathan Michael and Christopher James Brownell.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at First Baptist Church. A private Interment is planned for Rosecrans National Cemetery in Point Loma.

ESCONDIDO - Gary A. Rowland, 55, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, at San Diego Hospice Acute Care Center of cancer.
Born Jan. 15, 1946, in Kewanee, Ill., he lived in Escondido for 18 years.
Mr. Rowland was retired from the U.S. Navy after 25 years of service. He was employed by Navy Region SW Force Protection in San Diego.
Mr. Rowland is survived by Madeline Clark (always ³known as his second mother²); brothers Harold Rowland of Riverside, Fritz Rowland of Geneseo, Ill., Don Rowland of Las Vegas, Bob Rowland of Moline, Ill., Ron Rowland of Gresham, Ore., Ed Rowland of Geneseo, Ill., Larry Rowland of Jacksonville, Fla., and Al Rowland of Las Vegas; sister Joyce Wade of Kewanee, Ill.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service with full military honors will be Kewanee, Ill. on Wednesday, March 7, at Rux Funeral Home.

RANCHO BERNARDO - Mary ³Tyne² E. Long, 83, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001.
Born May 3, 1917, in Dallas, Texas, she lived in Rancho Bernardo for 38 years.
She was active in the Rancho Bernardo Lady Lions, Rancho Bernardo Historical Society and the Rancho Bernardo Women's Club. She volunteered her time to the community for many years.
Mrs. Long is survived by her husband of 63 years, Garland Long; sister Pearl; granddaughter Richelle Benson and her husband Miguel Gonzalez; grandson Richard Benson; great-grandchildren Michael and Tyler; nephews Joe, Tony and Mike.
A memorial service is scheduled at 10 a.m. today, March 2, at El Camino Memorial Park.

Mrs. Anderline was preceded in death by her father, Carl M. Sidenblad. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Raymond K. Anderline of Vista; mother Florence L. Sidenblad of Sacramento; sons and daughter-in-law Vincent Anderline of Bakersfield, Marc and Brenda Anderline of Anjung-Ri, South Korea, and Jason Anderline of Reno, Nev.; brother and sister-in-law Paul J. and Kathy Sidenblad of Cupertine; sister Marian L. Born Jan. 10, 1911, in Worcester, Mass., she lived in Oceanside for 49 years. She was a retired clerk for the state Department of Motor Vehicles. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Ms. Davis is survived by her cousins Maralee Stephens of Fountain Valley, Gertrude Belveal of Springfield, Ore., and many other cousins in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, March 5, at Oceanside Mortuary. Memorial service will start at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Richard Smith of North County United Methodist Church officiating. A private Interment at Inglewood Memorial Park is planned.

OCEANSIDE - William M. Jones, 80, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001.
Born Feb. 1, 1921, in Des Moines, Iowa, he lived in Oceanside for 13 years. He retired from Cal Poly Pomona in 1980. He was an avid golfer and country western dancer.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara Jones of Oceanside; sons Kenneth Jones of Long Beach and Robert and Catherine Jones of Granby, Colo.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A private cremation with scattering at sea is planned.

OCEANSIDE - Jeanette E. Bell, 78, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Sharp Hospital of heart failure.
Born Nov. 11, 1922, in Illinois, she lived in Oceanside for 25 years. She was a retired government employee. She was a member of Oceanside Seventh Day Adventist Church for 25 years.
Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Bell in 1991. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law John Kucharski of Big Fork, Mont., Richard and Myra Kucharski of Oceanside and William and Gay Bell of Angwin; daughters Cathy Bell of Selma, Ore., Diane Ausilio of Palm Dessert, Elizabeth Palmer of Lake Tahoe and Frances Ianis of Seattle; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

OCEANSIDE - Eugene Earl Elliott, 81, died Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, at a local hospital.
Born July 13, 1919, in Oxford, Ind., he lived in Oceanside since 1997 and previously in Tacoma, Wash. He was a physical plant manager for the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Wash., for 25 years. He retired from the U.S. Navy as a chief petty officer after 20 years. He was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He was a member of the Masons for 50 years.
Mr. Elliott is survived by his wife of 60 years, Phyllis A. Elliott of Oceanside; son David L. Elliott of Seattle; daughter and son-in-law Darlene and Tom Matney of Tacoma, Wash.; sister and brother-in-law Delores and David Everett Walker of Phoenix; grandchildren Darren Greinke and wife Traci of Tacoma, Wash., and Dennis Greinke of Ocala, Fla.; great-grandchildren Dean Greinke and Leah Greinke, both of Tacoma, Wash.; and many nieces and nephews.
