Dale B. Shely Sr.
1936 - 2000
As we commemorate the passing of Dale B. Shely, one year ago, we ask you to join us in remembering Dale, with his friendly demeanor, his wonderful whistling, and his steady good humor.
He is sadly missed by his family and friends.
You may recall Dale in his convertible, top down, and radio playing. young at heart, his optimistic outlook on life and readiness to help a friend in need, were known to all.
Dale worked in the RV sales business for many years and was well known throughout San Diego and North County for his expert salesmanship. Always in demand, until his retirement.
Home loving, and avid race car fan, music lover - fond of good food and a few beers now and then - that was Dale.
He had a special place in his heart for Hawaii and he and his wife, Lianne, returned there each year.
Dale was born and raised in Michigan, until he was 16. At that age, he drove himself to San Diego, arriving ahead of the family. Always determined, and independent, reaching his goals with confidence.
It was with that same confidence that he approached the end of his life, knowing his God would be there for him.
We loved him in life, and we continue to do so. His memory will remain in our hearts forever.
A private scattering at sea, of his cremains is planned on March 18, his 65th birthday.
