Born Feb. 17, 1912, in Chicago, she lived in Poway for four years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Headen was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Ned Headen, in 1995. She is survived by her son, Donald E. Headen of Bronxville, N.Y.; daughter Nedra Headen of San Diego; sisters Evelyn Tuttle of Sun City, Ariz., and Billie Dyer of Chicago; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary. A private cremation is planned.

Fred Irving, 60
ESCONDIDO - Fred Irving, 60, died Monday, April 24, 2000, of lung cancer, at his home.
Born Dec. 9, 1939, in Des Moines, Iowa, he lived in Escondido for five years. He worked for Serenity and Casa Grande apartments before retiring on Sept. 30, 1998. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Neighborhood Empowerment organization and was involved with Citizen's Patrol in Escondido. He served as a minister in the Church of God in Fremont, Neb.
Mr. Irving was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret L. Irving, on July 10, 1991; and his father, Ernest Irving. He is survived by his wife of 6 1/2 years, Barbara A. Conley-Irving of Escondido; sons and daughter-in-law Nathaniel R. and Rachel Irving and Daniel P. Irving, all of Fremont; daughters and sons-in-law Terry J. Irving of San Diego, Tina A. Nelson, Gail and Brian Ligon and Tiffany Irving, all of Fremont, and Holly Irving of Omaha, Neb.; brothers and sister-in-law Ernest Jr. and Donna Irving of Cassville, Mo., and Richard L. Irving of Centerville, Iowa; sisters and brothers-in-law Rose M. and Melvin Spencer of Waukee, Iowa, Mary J. and Eldon Brown of Grimes, Iowa, Shirley J. Irving of Dallas Center, Iowa, Patricia A. and Michael Salem of Lubbock, Texas, Lois L. and John Waggoner of Urbanville, Iowa, Richard M. Conley and David B. Conley, both of Escondido; and 13 grandchildren.
Inurnment took place Thursday, April 27, at North County Cremation Service in San Marcos.

Frank Solis, 74
RAMONA - Frank A. Solis, 74, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, at a local hospital.
Born July 24, 1925, in Lakeside, he lived in San Diego County his entire life. He served in the U.S. Army in France and Germany during World War II, receiving the World War II Victory Medal. He was a well driller for more than 30 years and owned a tractor service. He was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the Ramona Senior Center.
Mr. Solis was preceded in death by his wife, Feliciana "Phyllis" Solis, on Jan. 4, 1995. He is survived by his goddaughter, Ventura Hallman of Ramona; sister Marie Hoffman sister-in-law Ruth Solis; many nephews, including Fred Solis; nieces Carmen Hill, Teresa Solis and Margaret Solis; and many friends.
Viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. today, May 9, at Bonham Bros. & Lee Ramona Chapel. A funeral service will follow. A committal service and burial will take place at Nuevo Memory Gardens, with Deacon A.R. McDaniel of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church officiating.

Born Aug. 19, 1927, in San Diego, he lived in Escondido for eight years. He worked for TRW, retiring in 1988 and served in the U.S. military. He was a manager for the aerospace industry.
Mr. Nunez is survived by his son, Edward Nunez of Hilo, Hawaii; daughters Janet Jernigan of Fort Worth, Texas, and Carolyn McNulty of Panama City Beach, Fla.; grandchildren Tania, Joshua, Kathleen, Christina, Emily, Dylan, Melissa, Timothy, Thomas and Nathan.

RANCHO BERNARDO - Irma Jennie Agent, 82, died Saturday, April 15, 2000, of Parkinson's disease, in San Diego.
Born July 20, 1917, in Camden, N.J., she lived in Rancho Bernardo for 10 years. She worked for the state of Pennsylvania before retiring and was a founding member of Faith Lutheran Church of Balkeslee, Pa., and a member of the Pocono Women's Club.
Mrs. Agent was preceded in death by her husband, Ludwig Agent, in 1998. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Allan and Sally Agent of San Diego; stepson and daughter-in-law Raymond and Marie Agent of Wilmington, Neb.; and grandchildren Amber, Susan and David Agent and Stephen Anderson.
A memorial service will be held later in the fall in Blakeslee. Interment
will take place at Pocono Lake Cemetery in Pocono Lake, Pa.

Born April 8, 1953, in Winter Park, Fla., he lived in North County for 34 years before moving to Bend, Ore., in 1994. He worked in the lumber industry.
Mr. Russell is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Leanne Russell of Encinitas; sisters and brother-in-law Lynne and Robert McElwee of Lake Elsinore and Valerie and Jim McKenna of Purcell, Okla.; nephew Kevin McElwee; and nieces Kristie and Jenny Russell and Mikel-Anne McElwee.

Born Oct. 16, 1912, in Alba, Texas, she lived in Escondido for 62 years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Crane was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Arnold Crane, in 1992. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Don and Joyce Crane of Idylwild and David Crane of Escondido daughters Linda Brown of Escondido and Helen Szeremi of Shady Cove, Ore.; brothers Clarence Weatherbee and Orville Weatherbee, both of Childress, Texas; sister Lenora Tanner of Escondido; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Born Oct. 2, 1922, in Hardin, Mo., he lived in Escondido for 16 years. He was a restaurant owner before retiring in 1984 and served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946.

ESCONDIDO - Wanda Burkhead Zellmer, 40, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, in Escondido.
Born Nov. 8, 1959, in Escondido, she lived in Escondido for 40 years. She was a 1977 graduate of San Pasqual High School and was an inventory controller for Car Quest Auto Parts.
Mrs. Zellmer was preceded in death by her father, Bob Burkhead, in 1992. She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Michael Zellmer of Escondido; mother Sandra Burkhead of Escondido; mother-in-law Dorothy Zellmer of Escondido; son Derek Zellmer of Escondido; 14 nephews and nieces; and two uncles.

Mrs. Rodriguez is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jesus Rodriguez of Tijuana, Mexico; sons and daughters-in-law, Luis and Cruz Rodriguez, Francisco and Stella Rodriguez and Juan and Juana Rodriguez; daughters and sons-in-law Guadalupe and Caludio Aguilar, Bertha and Rodolfo Hernandez, Josefa and Francisco Flores, Esperanza and Salvador Cuellar, Imelda Rodriguez and Roselia and Graciano Mora; brother Roberto Luna; sister Eva Madrigal; 30 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Born Sept. 3, 1931, in Sioux City, Iowa, he lived in Oceanside since 1971. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1949 to 1972.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Betty Jones of Oceanside; son Randal Jones of Vista; daughters Rinda O'Hara of Joshua Tree and Ronda Smolan of Oceanside; sister Carol Bates of Scio, Ore.; and grandsons Russell and Robert Smolan of Oceanside.

COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. - Theressa A. Fleming, 83, died Friday, May 5, 2000.
Born Sept. 21, 1916, in Gervais, Ore., she lived in Cottage Grove and previously lived in Fallbrook. She was a homemaker and owned a citrus grove in Fallbrook as well as the London Store in the 1950s and '60s. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Fallbrook, the Genealogy Society in Cottage Grove and the Fallbrook Grange since 1934. She was instrumental in organizing the London Grange and was a 7th degree member.
Mrs. Fleming was preceded in death by her husband, James Fleming, in 1987. She is survived by her son, Perry Fleming of Pineville, La.; daughters Thelma Keding of Auburndale, Wis., and Donna Niemeier of La Mesa; brothers Don Martin and Dorin Martin; sister Anella Campbell; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Born April 15, 1916, in Canada, she lived in Murrieta for five years. She was a homemaker for many years.
Mrs. Jobin was preceded in death by her sister, Muriel Geoffray; and one grandson. She is survived by her sons, Raymond Jobin of Aurora, Ohio, and Robert Jobin of Lafayette, Colo.; daughter Marilynn Robinson of Murrieta; sister Glenys Scott of Garrettsville, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

SUN CITY - Charles Joseph Brasier, 80, died Friday, May 5, 2000, of Alzheimer's disease, at Manor Care Health Services in Hemet.
Born Sept. 5, 1919, in Boynton, Ark., he lived in Sun City for 11 years. He worked in maintenance for the U.S. Postal Service in La Habra for 18 years and served as chief engineer and recruiting officer in St. Louis for the U.S. Navy from 1938 to 1958. He served aboard the USS Lexington in the South Pacific during World War II.
Mr. Brasier is survived by his wife, Beulah Brasier of Sun City; stepson Gary Kinsley of Perris; daughter Darla Brasier of Sacramento; stepdaughter Gail Newell of Bend, Ore.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Monday, May 8, at Miller-Jones Mortuary & Crematory. A graveside service will be held at 9:15 a.m. today, May 9, at Riverside National Cemetery, Staging Area 2. Burial will follow.

SUN CITY - Nelson Joshua Carlton, 76, died Saturday, May 6, 2000, from complications of emphysema, at Menifee Valley Medical Center in Sun City.
Born Feb. 7, 1924, in Buckner, Ark., he lived in Sun City for six years. He was a salesman for Sear Roebuck Co. in Anchorage, Alaska, for 21 years and served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1945.
Mr. Carlton is survived by his wife, Helen Carlton of Sun City; sons Michael Carlton of Anchorage and David Carlton of Canyon Lake; daughters Carolyn Gibbs of Anchorage and Susan Hicks of Bokeelia, Fla.; sister Ellen Coon of Camden, Alaska; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
