Born Aug. 11, 1923, in Chicago, she lived in Vista for 15 years. She was a junior high school teacher for the Phoenix School District for 11 years.
Mrs. Hayes is survived by her granddaughter, Terra Nowell of Sebastapol.
No formal service will be held. A private cremation is planned.

Francisco Hernandez, 79
ENCINITAS - Francisco Hernandez Jr., 79, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000, at Scripps Hospital in La Jolla.
Born July 6, 1921, in Del Mar, he lived in Encinitas for 79 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Hernandez is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Hernandez of Encinitas; sons and daughters-in-law Dan and Norma Hernandez of San Diego, Frank and Virginia Hernandez III of Oregon and Don and Camille Hernandez of Vista; daughter Dee Dee Camarena of Encinitas; brothers and sisters-in-law Domingo Hernandez and Joe and Ruby Hernandez, all of Vista, Thomas and Mary Hernandez of Solana Beach, Refugio and Francisca Hernandez of Tijuana, Mexico, and Ramona and Francis Hernandez of Temecula; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation and viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., with a rosary recited from 7 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Eternal Hills Mortuary. A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, at St. John's Catholic Church in Encinitas, with the Rev. Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.

SAN DIEGO - Mark A. Hahn, 40, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2000, in San Diego.
Born Feb. 17, 1960, in Long Beach, he lived in San Diego for 30 years. He was a landscaper.
Mr. Hahn is survived by his mother and father, Charlotte and Paul Hahn of Valley Center; daughter Danielle Hahn of Escondido; sister Raine Solberg of Valley Center; and nieces Kylee and Rayna Solberg, both of Valley Center.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, at Nazarene College in Point Loma. A private inurnment will take place at a later date.

ESCONDIDO - Bertha Fay Rau, 80, died Monday, Nov. 20, 2000, at her home.
Born Sept. 2, 1920, in Chickasha, Okla., she lived in Escondido for 22 years. She was a food server for the Los Angeles County city school system for 15 years.
Mrs. Rau was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence E. Rau, in 1996. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law Larry and Pat Rau of Valley Center and Charles Rau of Milford; sister Ethel Williams of Buena Park; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary Chapel, with the Rev. John Sale of the Valley Center Community Church officiating. Interment
will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

FALLBROOK - Santiago "Jimmy" Campos Ochoa, 83, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000, in Fallbrook.
Born July 25, 1917, in Yureguaro, Mitchoacan, Mexico, he lived in Fallbrook for one years and had lived in Temecula for 14 years. He was an automobile mechanic for 35 years.
Mr. Ochoa is survived by his daughters, Magdalena Gonzalez of Temecula, Barbara Heckrott of Manhattan Beach and Rhonda Araiza of Tucson, Ariz.; brothers Ruben Ochoa of Mexico and Ronald Brittingham of Delaware; sisters Anita Rios of San Diego, Estella Torres, Consuelo Rico, Luz Villnuba and Genoveva Rangel, all of Mexico; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Bernard Rapp officiating. Burial will take place on a date to be determined at Silverbrook Cemetery in Wilmington, Del.

ESCONDIDO - Donald C. Lambert, 48, died Friday, Nov. 17, 2000, at Palomar Medical Center.
Born July 16, 1952, in Syracuse, N.Y., he lived in Escondido since 1959. He was a flooring installer for Kuske Co. and served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Lambert was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Lambert-Herbert, in 1981. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Shelley Lambert of Escondido; son and daughter-in-law Donald and Heather Lambert of Escondido; daughter Jill Konzen of Escondido; stepsister Melody Hebert of Blythe; and grandchildren Korina Konzen, Tyler Lambert and Jacob Lambert.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, at North County Cremation Service in San Marcos, with the Rev. David Plank officiating.

VISTA - Sally L. Valencia, 85, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2000, at Life Care Center of Vista.
Born May 17, 1915, in Des Moines, Iowa, she lived in Vista for three years. She was a management system specialist for Northrup/Grumman before retiring after 40 years. She was a member of the Northrup/Grumman Retirement Group and the New Orleans Jazz Club and a former member of the Oceanside Women's Club.
Mrs. Valencia was preceded in death by her son, Jerry LuVerne Parker, in September 1999. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Betty Parker of Glidden, Iowa; grandchildren Susan Barnes of Magna, Utah, Linda Ehrecke of Walcott, Iowa, Rex Parker and Amy Gray, both of Glidden, and Brian Parker of Carroll, Iowa; and great-grandchildren Ted, Ben and Becky Barnes; and great-great-grandchild T.J. Barnes Jr. of Provo, Utah.

Born Aug. 1, 1910, in Los Angeles, she lived in San Diego County for 20 years. She was a homemaker for 45 years and a contributor to the San Diego County Humane Society.
Mrs. Goodin was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Goodin, in 1978. She is survived by her nieces, Antoinette Billington of Santa Maria and Suzanne Ybarra of Woodburn, Ore.; and nephews Pat Vitolla of North Hills, John Lombardo of Yucaipa and Jeffrey Lombardo of San Bernardino.

Born Oct. 20, 1950, in Quantico, Va., she lived in Las Vegas for 32 years. She was an account coordinator for trade shows in Las Vegas and a 1968 graduate of San Luis Rey Academy.

Ms. Ranazisi is survived by her sister, Lillian Filippone of Oceanside; sister-in-law Eileen Filippone Olson of Carlsbad; nephew Anthony and wife Joyce Filippone of Berwick, Nova Scotia; great-nephews Michael and Bradley Filippone of Nova Scotia; and great-grand-nephews Christopher and Korrine Filippone of Nova Scotia.

Mrs. Pechtel is survived by her son, Jonathan Howard of Hemet; and sisters JoAnn Holdridge of West Burlington, N.Y., and Nancy Martin of Riverside.
