ESCONDIDO - Lee Hancock, 65, died Sunday, April 2, 2000, at his home.
Born Feb. 14, 1935, in New York, he lived in Escondido. He was a senior product test engineer for General Dynamics Corp. for 35 years and served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Hancock was preceded in death by his son, John Hancock. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Linda Hancock of Escondido; stepmother Connie Hancock of San Diego; daughter Christine Guillotte of Long Beach, Miss.; stepdaughter Kathy Kilfoyle of Temecula; brother John Hancock of Missoula, Mont.; sister Wanda Myron of Tigard, Ore.; and grandchildren Ian, Rachel, Sean, Michelle, Danielle and Sean.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 10, at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.

Margaret Sullivan, 83
VISTA - Margaret Estelle Sullivan, 83, died Tuesday, April 4, 2000, at her home.
Born Aug. 7, 1916, in Virginia, she lived in Vista for 25 years. She was a secretary for the civil service.
Mrs. Sullivan is survived by her sons, Lloyd Randolph Sullivan and Rani Sullivan, both of Idaho, and Richard Sullivan of Oceanside; daughter Sara Sullivan of Vista; sister and brother-in-law Grace and Clarence Walker of Florida; grandchildren Lon Sullivan and Dane Sullivan; and great-granddaughter Kirsten Sullivan.
No service will be held at the request of the deceased.
A private cremation is planned with inurnment to take place at a later date at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.

OCEANSIDE - Ellen L. Cady, 80, died Sunday, April 2, 2000, in Oceanside.
Born Aug. 27, 1919, in Larimore, N.D., she lived in Oceanside since 1983. She graduated from Aaker Business College in Grand Fords, N.D.
Mrs. Cady is survived by her husband of 56 years, Master Sgt. Atwood H. Cady, USAF Ret., of Oceanside; son and daughter-in-law Atwood Jr. and Donna Cady of Oceanside; grandchildren Michael and Melissa Cady, both of Oceanside; and several cousins, nephews and nieces in North Dakota.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 7, at the Community Lutheran Church in Oceanside, with the Rev. Orville Hiepler officiating. A private burial will take place at Riverside National Cemetery.
Edward Wicburg, 88
OCEANSIDE - Edward Herman Wicburg, 88, died Wednesday, March 8, 2000, of Alzheimer's disease, in Oceanside.
Born March 4, 1912, in Gallup, N.M., he lived in Oceanside for 19 years. He worked for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers before retiring and was a member of St. John's Church in Joliet, Ill. and Loyal Order of Moose.
Mr. Wicburg was preceded in death by his wife, La Verne Wicburg, in September 1953. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Edward F. and Harriet Wicburg of Oceanside; daughter and son-in-law Leona M. and Paul Devereaux of Aptos; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 14, at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church in Oceanside. A private cremation is planned with cremains to be scattered at sea.

Thomas Wantuck, 69
RANCHO BERNARDO - Thomas Otto Wantuck, 69, died Sunday, April 2, 2000, at his home in Rancho Bernardo.
Born Jan. 16, 1931, in Fayeteville, Ark., he lived in Rancho Bernardo for 12 years. He was a self-employed financial consultant in manufactured housing for 50 years. He was a treasurer of Rancho Bernardo Lions Club and a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Escondido.
Mr. Wantuck is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Wantuck and Candice Konrad of North Windham, Conn., and William and Catherine Wantuck of Bryan, Texas; brother William H. Wantuck of Houston; sister Sara Shackleford of Houston; and grandchildren William Wantuck Jr., Rebecca Wantuck, Stephanie Wantuck and Shannon Wantuck.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 7, at Bethel Baptist Church in Escondido, with Dr. Robert Sutton officiating. A private cremation is planned.

Mrs. Warren was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Warren, in 1987. She is survived by her son, J. Vance Warren of Cameron Park; daughters Paula D. Seastedt of Lake Elsinore and JoAnne Warren of Albuquerque, N.M.; sister Josephine Wright of Medina, Wash.; brother Daniel Schmitz of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Sprague was preceded in death by her son, Alexander Sprague. She is survived by her husband, Timothy E. Sprague of Poway; parents Marjorie Hedgepath of Springfield, Mo., Stanley R. Lazowski of Ramona and stepmother Victoria Lazowski Gowey of Poway; son Aaron Sprague of Poway; daughter Morgan Sprague of Poway; brother Jason Lazowski of Springfield, Mo.; and grandmother Marjorie Roman of Terre Haute, Ind.

SUN CITY - Bessie Elizabeth Hunt, 96, died Saturday, April 1, 2000, at Sun City Convalescent and Hospital.
Born Nov. 16, 1903, in Lake Elsinore, she lived in Sun City for six years. She was a homemaker for 70 years. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Lucerne Valley.
Mrs. Hunt is survived by her son, Vincent Nelson of Encinitas; sisters Clara Millbrook of Sun City, Rose Ridley and Mary Crawford, both of Lake Elsinore, and Gladys Goodcase of Dana Point; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Vincent Fiorito, 73
MURRIETA - Vincent James Fiorito, 73, died Saturday, April 1, 2000, from complications of diabetes.
Born March 10, 1927, in Chicago, he lived in Murrieta for 10 years. He was a personal injury claims adjuster for Farmers Insurance for more than 25 years and was a member of the Italian-American Social Club and the Knights of Columbus. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946.
Mr. Fiorito is survived by his sons, Steve Fiorito and Frank Fiorito, both of San Diego, and James Fiorito of Colton; brothers Leonard Fiorito of Bullhead City, Ariz., Gabriel Fiorito of Chino and Edward Fiorito of Simi Valley.
Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, April 7, at St. Martha Catholic Church in Murrieta. A rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. with a Mass celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery, Staging Area 3.

Donald Snoke, 74
AGUANGA - Donald R. Snoke, 74, died Monday, April 3, 2000, of cancer, at his home.
Born July 25, 1925, in Ohio, he lived in Aguanga for one year. He was an aerospace engineer for TRW in Redondo Beach for 31 years, retiring in 1986. He served as a navigator in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1946.
Mr. Snoke is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Snoke of Aguanga; and brother George Snoke of Sun City.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, April 6, at Stout Family Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., with burial at 2 p.m. at Temecula Cemetery.

SOLANA BEACH - Evelyn V. "Lynn" Phinney, 83, died Sunday, April 2, 2000, in Del Mar.
Born Feb. 14, 1917, in Aberdeen, Wash., she lived in Solana Beach. She worked for Pacific Telephone for more than 30 years and was a member of Scripps Hospital Auxiliary and Sweet Adelines.
Ms. Phinney is survived by her son, Ron Risdon; daughters and son-in-law Dana Phinney and Steve Joseph and Christine Phinney; and two grandchildren.
A private cremation is planned. Interment
will take place at Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen, Wash.

VISTA - Connie Martinez, 71, died Wednesday, March 29, 2000, at a local convalescent center in Vista.
Born June 2, 1928, in St. Louis, she lived in Vista for 41 years. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.
Mrs. Martinez is survived by her husband of 43 years, Art Martinez of Vista; son Robert Martinez of Seattle; daughter Maria R. Brinneman of Escondido; grandchildren Mark Brinneman of Escondido and Tony Brinneman of Denver; and great-grandchild Corey Brinneman of Escondido; and cousin George Kulage of St. Louis.
A Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Vista, with the Rev. Patrick Mulcahy officiating. A private cremation is planned with inurnment to take place at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis.

Born June 25, 1922, in Jamaica, West Indies, she lived in San Diego. She was a homemaker.

CAMP VERDE, Ariz. - Clifford Rury Lane, 76, died Wednesday, March 29, 2000.
Born Dec. 18, 1923, in Utica, N.Y., he lived in Camp Verde. He was a plumber before retiring and a member of the Plumber's Union 545 in Santa Monica. He was a member of the Beaver Creek Baptist Church in Camp Verde.
Mr. Lane is survived by his wife, Grace Irene Lane of Fallbrook; son Richard Lane of E. Peoria, Ill.; daughters Maeva M. Troop of San Diego and Diana Kinney of Sun Valley; and two great-grandchildren.
