POWAY - Edith Lue Piot, 93, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000, at Palomar Medical Center.
Born Oct. 10, 1907, in Urbana, Mo., she lived in Poway for 24 years. She was a bookkeeper for Clymore Motors for 20 years and a member of Grace Community Church in Poway for 24 years.
Mrs. Piot was preceded in death by her first husband, Willia Hooper, in 1949; and her second husband, Rene Piot, in 1990. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James and Joan Hooper of Poway; stepsons and daughters-in-law Lawrence and Mary Piot of Panorama City and Ronald Piot of Las Vegas; stepdaughters and sons-in-law Lorraine and Herb Henry of Las Vegas and Carolyn and Bob Barsumian of Rathdrum, Idaho; grandchildren Jennifer and Erich Fries and James Jr. and Bree Hooper, all of San Diego, Julie and Todd Medin of Vancouver, Wash., and Jonathon Hooper of Poway; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, at Poway-Bernardo Mortuary. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the mortuary, with the Rev. Andy McAdams and Ed Turley officiating. A graveside committal service is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. following the funeral service at Glenhaven Memorial Park in Sylmar, with the Rev. Richard Rabehl officiating.

Margaret McKeon, 94
VISTA - Margaret Mary McKeon, 94, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, in San Marcos.
Born June 22, 1906, in Greenwich, Conn., she lived in Vista for 16 years. She worked for Bell Telephone Co. before retiring in 1971 and was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Vista.
Mrs. McKeon was preceded in death by her husband, Owen McKeon, in 1989. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Jeanne Miller of Salem, Ore., Benjamin and Ruth Miller of Albany, Ore., Paul J. Miller of Bend, Ore., and David F. Miller of Yuma, Ariz.; and daughters and sons-in-law Barbara and Darwin Burnett of Bozeman, Mont., and Shirley and Tillman Rains of Stayton, Ore.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Vista, with the Rev. Patrick Mulcahy officiating.

ESCONDIDO - Elizabeth Mary Holman, 83, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, in Escondido.
Born May 29, 1917, in Long Island City, N.Y., she lived in Escondido for one year. She was an administration assistant for San Diego City Schools educational cultural complex before retiring.
Mrs. Holman is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Madeline and David Klose of Escondido, Marcia Holman of San Diego and Marguerite and Allen Cerekas of Kent, Conn.; grandchildren Michele Houseman, Anthony Wilcox, Heather Wilcox and Maureen Thomas; and great-grandchildren Matthew Collins, Timothy Collins and Chelsea Scott.
Viewing will be held from 4 to 9 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 22, at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary, with her family officiating. Viewing will also be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, at San Luis Rey Mission. A Mass will be celebrated following the viewing at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at San Luis Rey Cemetery.

William Schnute, 87
VISTA - William Charles Schnute, 87, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000, at his home.
Born Jan. 25, 1913, in Evansville, Ind., he lived in Vista for 16 years. He was a minister for Missouri Synod Lutheran Church before retiring in 1984. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Vista and of the Lions Club in Azusa and Vista, serving as deputy district governor.
Mr. Schnute is survived by his wife of 59 years, Arline E. Schnute of Vista; son William C. Schnute Jr. of Fremont; daughters Janet Quirt of Bellingham, Wash., and Jeanne Park of Long Beach; brother Paul Schnute of Evansville; sisters Mildred Leinenbach and Valada Kissel, both of Evansville, and Eileen Wachob of Moline, Ill.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral service and visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at Faith Lutheran Church in Vista, with the Rev. B.D. Droeguemueller officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier.

OCEANSIDE - Nancy Delia Altagracia McInnis, 43, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, in Oceanside.
Born Oct. 11, 1957, in the Dominican Republic, she lived in Oceanside for 10 years. She was the owner of White Glove Cleaning Service.
Mrs. McInnis is survived by her husband of 10 years, Carlton McInnis of Oceanside; mother Dulce Balderas of Nevada; father Louis Chanez of the Dominican Republic; sons Jeffrey Soto of Colorado and Dominique McInnis of Oceanside; daughters Jennifer Soto and Maya McInnis, both of Oceanside; brothers Eddie Chavez, Tony Chavez and Louis Chavez, all of New York; sisters Ligia Carolina Chavez of Los Angeles, Jackie Chavez of New York and Isabel Maria Ramirez of New Jersey; and grandchild Gil Ryan Crenshaw.

FALLBROOK - Lloyd E. Harrison, 72, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2000, in Fallbrook.
Born Dec. 15, 1927, in Midland, Texas, he lived in Fallbrook for 11 years. He worked for Hughes Aircraft and served in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Harrison is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dobres Harrison of Fallbrook; sons and daughters-in-law Frank L. Harrison of Middletown, Dan P. and Sue Harrison of Laguna Hills and Michael D. and Carol Harrison of Coloma; daughter and son-in-law Mary D. and Tom Hart of Murrieta; brothers Patrick C. Harrison and Frank Harrison, both of Texas; sisters Ruth Ann Roberts and Mary Jane Hederson, both of Texas; and eight grandchildren.

Jesus Romo, 79
OCEANSIDE - Jesus "Jesse" Romo, 79, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at Rolling Hills Estates.
Born Nov. 12, 1921, in Carrizo Springs, Texas, he lived in Oceanside for 18 years. He was a middle school teacher for El Rancho Unified School District before retiring. He served in the Aleutian Islands and in Alaska, refueling aircraft, in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of San Luis Rey Parish and the Retired Teachers Association. He taught conversational Spanish at Carlsbad Senior Center.
Mr. Romo is survived by his daughter, Sylvia Romo Zaitz of Oceanside; grandchildren Cyndy Marie Harrington and Jason Robert Zaitz; and great-grandchildren Haley and Harper Harrington and Emily Zaitz.
A rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at San Luis Rey Parish Chapel, with Corinne Jimenez officiating. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at San Luis Rey Parish Chapel, with the Rev. Michel Gagnon officiating. Inurnment will follow at Mission San Luis Rey Cemetery.

Born Oct. 25, 1913, in Illinois, she lived in Vista for 21 years. She worked for O.L. Potter Corporation before retiring.
Mrs. Potter was preceded in death by her husband, O.L. Potter, in 1966. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Vicki and Bryan Kiehl of San Diego; brother and sister-in-law Rudy and Marline Matthews of San Diego; and grandchildren Lisa, Kim and Jesse Kiehl.
A private cremation is planned with burial at sea.

OCEANSIDE - Robert Willard Green, 86, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2000, at his home.
Born Sept. 10, 1914, in Indiana, he lived in Oceanside for 14 years. He was an apartment manager for Francis Fabian before retiring.
Mr. Green is survived by his wife of 30 years, Betty Green of Oceanside; grandchildren Gary Robert Swisher and John Rees; and great-grandchildren Gary Rober Swisher Jr. and Justin Thomas Swisher.

Mildred Molenda, 81
OCEANSIDE - Mildred B. Molenda, 81, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2000, of lung cancer, at her home.
Born Dec. 27, 1918, in Superior, Wis., she lived in Oceanside for about 25 years. She received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Wisconsin and was a legal secretary for the appellate courts in Los Angeles, where she also worked for the Department of Power and Water. She enjoyed bridge and the financial and stock market reports.
Mrs. Molenda was preceded in death by her mother and father, Anna and Anthony Molenda; brothers Joseph Molenda, Alex Molenda and Stanley Molenda; and sister Helen Molenda. She is survived by her sisters, Adeline Barnes of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Pearl Keck of Crestview Hills, Ky.; three nieces; four nephews; and grandnieces and nephews.
No service is planned.

Born Sept. 4, 1905, in Iowa, he lived in Oceanside for 45 years. He was self-employed.
Mr. Middlekauf was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Middlekauf; and four sisters.

SUN CITY - Helen M. Peters, 87, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, of a gall bladder infection, at Rancho Springs Medical Center.
Born Jan. 25, 1913, in Lonaconing, Md., she lived in Sun City for 12 years. She was a homemaker and a volunteer at Kay Ceniceros Senior Center in Sun City.
Mrs. Peters was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace L. Peters, in 1981. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Van Meter of Murrieta; brother William Matthews of West Virginia; grandchildren Stacey Puentes of Sun City and Raymond Van Meter of San Diego; and five great-grandchildren.

Born Aug. 8, 1921, in Oklahoma City, she lived at Lake Elsinore for 11 years. She was a homemaker for 65 years and enjoyed ceramics.
Mrs. Beitz is survived by her husband, Leonard Beitz of Lake Elsinore; daughters Patricia Van Winkle of Anaheim Hills and Zelma Burros of Fullerton; sons Bob Beitz of Grass Valley, Leonard Beitz of Boise, Idaho, and Don Beitz of Seal Beach; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Ernest Flecky, 74
SUN CITY - Ernest Dale Flecky, 74, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2000, at Sun City Convalescent Center.
Born Nov. 3, 1925, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, he lived in Palm Desert for 10 years and in Sun City for five years. He was the director of human resources at Hughes Aircraft in Fullerton for 11 years and director of human resources for communications technology at Hughes Aircraft in Santa Ana for nine years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He earned a master's degree from the University of Nebraska and enjoyed sports, helping coach his children in baseball, and golfing. He co-founded and was past president of the FIRA Public Industrial Relations Association of Orange County. He was a member of Lake Elsinore Elks Lodge.
Mr. Flecky is survived by his wife, Patricia Flecky of Sun City; daughters Catherine Brown of Aliso Viejo and Susan Ellena of Trabuco Canyon; sons Daniel Flecky of Newport Beach, Patrick Flecky of Lake Elsinore and Thomas Flecky of Canyon Lake; brothers Donald Flecky of Fullerton, Eugene Flecky of Palm Desert, George Flecky of Council Bluffs and Gerald Flecky of Apple Valley; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Born Nov. 13, 1946, in Bakersfield, he lived in Wildomar for 15 years. He was a co-owner of Pitts Bros. Construction for 22 years and a member of the American Legion in Wildomar.

WILDOMAR - Ronald J. Pitts, 53, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, at his home.
Born Nov. 13, 1946, in Bakersfield, he lived in Wildomar for 15 years. He was the owner of Pitts Bros. Constructing in Wildomar for 22 years and enjoyed NASCAR racing, family gatherings and cooking. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 200, in Wildomar.
Mr. Pitts is survived by his daughters, Pattie Hoffman of Sun City and Katie Currie of Texas; mother Joan Shoemaker of Hemet; brothers Noland Pitts of Wildomar and Jerry Pitts of Glenville; sister Carol Bradshaw of Bakersfield; and two grandchildren.
