Born June 10, 1948, in Los Angeles, she lived in Ramona for 16 years. She was a secretary at Ramona High School for five years and a member of the Ramona Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Cooper is survived by her sons, Keith Morgan and Frank Cooper, both of Ramona; daughters Sarah Cooper and Joan Cooper, both of Ramona; and brother Tom Daniel of Las Vegas.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today, April 13, at the Ramona Presbyterian Church. A graveside service and Interment will take follow at 2:30 p.m. at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier.

Born April 13, 1926, in Nebraska, she lived in Oceanside for 15 years. She was a homemaker for 53 years.
Mrs. Serfling is survived by her sons, John Serfling and Richard Green, both of Denver, and Tony and Patti Serfling of Beulah, Colo.; daughters and son-in-law Kristine K. and Stephen G. Sneeringer of Sunset Hills, Mo., Karna and J. Born Oct. 28, 1952, in Oakland, he lived in Escondido for 11 years. He was an insurance claims adjuster before retiring in 1998 and served in the U.S. Navy from 1971 to 1975.
Mr. Black is survived by his fiancee, Anne M. Scannell of Escondido; mother and stepfather Barbara and James Black of Salt Lake City; brother Christopher Black of Salt Lake City; and sister Lisa Black of Salt Lake City.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday, April 17, at McLeod Mortuary Chapel. A private inurnment will take place at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in Point Loma.

MURRIETA - John Albert Van Wey, 84, died Saturday, April 8, 2000, of heart failure, at Rancho Springs Medical Center in Murrieta.
Born Nov. 10, 1915, in Vincennes, Ind., he lived in Evansville, Ind., for 18 years, in Rockford, Ill., for 24 years and in Temecula for 1 1/2 years.
He worked for F.W. Means and Services, retiring after 42 years, and owned Rite-Wey Services in Rockford for 15 years. He was a member of Indiana Mason-Reed Lodge 316, the American Legion Post 73, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Moose Lodge in Rockford and served in the U.S. Navy for 2 1/2 years.
Mr. Van Wey was preceded in death by his son, Gary John Van Wey in 1984. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Louise Van Wey of Temecula; son Jack Lee Van Wey of Temecula; daughter Jonna Louise Taylor of Poseyville, Ind.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 17, at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in Point Loma.

Mrs. Henness is survived by her son, Robert Boling of Anaheim; daughters Joan Lackey of Fallbrook and Kim Henness of Vista; brothers James Kramer Jr. and Charles Kramer, both of Hannibal, Mo.; sisters Mary Mechelon of San Marcos, Leota Coperan of Nevada and Betty Peckham of Hesperia; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

RANCHO BERNARDO - Eleanore B. Laycock Flood, 83, died Saturday, April 8, 2000, of Alzheimer's disease, in Ventura.
Born June 15, 1916, in Milwaukee, she lived in Rancho Bernardo for 20 years. She owned Ralph's Sporting Goods in Upland from 1959 till retirement in 1977. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Escondido, the Widow and Widower's Club and was a docent at San Pasqual Park.
Mrs. Flood was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph L. Laycock, in March 1980; and her second husband, Oliver I. Flood, in December 1998. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara J. and Peter L. Haggerty of Ojai; sister Ellen E. Griffiths of El Cajon; brother-in-law James E. Potts of Upland; and grandchildren Meredith and Blake.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at St. James by the Sea Church in La Jolla, with Bishop Shannon Mallory officiating. Interment

OCEANSIDE - Calvin H. Laggren, 72, died Tuesday, April 11, 2000, from complications of cancer, in Oceanside.
Born Feb. 10, 1929, in Plainsville, N.J., he lived in Oceanside for seven years. He was a gunnery sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving during the Korean War and retiring in August 1977. He was one of the Chosen Few. He worked for Circle North America, retiring in February 1994.
Mr. Laggren is survived by his wife, Helen Laggren; son Clifford Laggren of Ontario; brother August Laggren of Phoenix; grandchildren Nancy and Glenn Wilson of San Bernardo and Shaun and Brian; and great-grandchildren Lance, Kyle and Brandon.

VALLEY CENTER - Leland George Moddelmog, 84, died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at his home in Valley Center.
Born Jan. 26, 1916, in Moundridge, Kan., he lived in Valley Center for 23 years. He was a deputy sheriff corrections officer for the city of Los Angeles and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Moddelmog was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Moddelmog, in 1983. He is survived by his nieces, Alesa Yates and Kathleen Felty, both of Valley Center, and Candye Sotelo of Escondido.

Mr. Baugh is survived by his wife of 50 years, June D. Baugh of Poway; sons Eric Baugh and Dale Baugh, both of Temecula; daughter Kristen Broomfield of Rancho Penasquitos; brother Jack Baugh; sister Helen Isola of Oakland; and grandson Samuel Baugh of Temecula.

SUN CITY - Floyd Cresswell Haley, 79, died Tuesday, April 11, 2000, of Parkinson's disease, at Vencor Hospital in Ontario.
Born May 24, 1920, in Portsmouth, Va., he lived in Sun City for 12 years. He was a scientist for Hughes Aircraft in Torrance for 25 years and served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1945. He was a Johns Hopkins alumni and received the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was a member of the Scientific American.
Mr. Haley is survived by his wife, Martha Haley of Sun City; son Stephen Haley of Glen Avon; stepson Robert Schaefers of Dallas; daughter Lisa Anders of Carson; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Wardle was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Wardle, in 1997. He is survived by his sons Reed Wardle of Riverside, Frank Wardle of Oceanside and Robert Wardle of Garden Grove; daughter Valerie Wardle of Glendora; brother Robert I. Wardle of Bountiful, Utah; sisters Rela Wardle of Salt Lake City and Jean Steadman of Whittier; and 19 grandchildren.
