Hilda Ward, 91
EL CAJON - Hilda May Ward, 91, died Tuesday, April 24, 2001, in La Mesa of cancer.
Born Sept. 8, 1909, in Waltham, Mass., she lived in El Cajon for 71 years.
She was a metallurgist with North Island Naval Air Station. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church of Logan Heights.
She raised parakeets and beehives. She enjoyed crafts, quilting and gardening.
Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Ward, in 1982.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Stuart and Mona Ward of Orange and Dennis and Barbara Ward of Escondido; daughter and son-in-law Kelli and Kenny Turner of Ventura; brother and sister-in-law Homer and Mariam Thom of San Antonio, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Logan Heights.
The family suggests memorial donations to St. Paul United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund, 3094 L Street, San Diego, CA 92102.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 28, in Garden of Innocence located at El Camino Memorial Park, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, Sorrento Valley (off the 805 at Mira Mesa). Officiating will be the Rev. Romy Supnet, chaplain of Centinela State Prison.

Albert Tercero, 75
OCEANSIDE - Albert Carlos Tercero, 75, died Saturday, April 21, 2001, of a cerebral hemorrhage.
Born July 11, 1925, in Corinto, Nicaragua, he was a manager for Safeway and QFI grocery stores for 27 years. He served in the U.S. Army and Cavalry. He was a member of the Lions Club of Woodland.
Mr. Tercero was preceded in death by his parents, Alberto and Romelia Tercero. He is survived by his former spouse of 25 years, Marina Dominquez of Oceanside; son and daughter-in-law Albert and Tracy Tercero III of Carson City, Nev.; daughters and sons-in-law John and Norma Kuhn of Julian and Mike and Thelma Shaw of Oceanside; brother and sister-in-law George and Lillian Tercero of San Francisco; sister Helen Tercero of Concord; and grandchildren Medina Kuhn and Christian Tercero.
Inurnment is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in Point Loma with the Rev. Mike Mitchke officiating. A private cremation is planned.

Glynn Everett, 87
OCEANSIDE - Glynn Manning Everett, 87, died Tuesday, April 24, 2001, at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation facility.
Born June 27, 1913, in Gail, Texas, he lived in Oceanside for 44 years. He was a graphic artist and retired from civil service at Camp Pendleton. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Everett is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dessa Everett of Oceanside and niece Sharon Johnson of Lubbock, Texas.
A graveside service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 30, at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.

Annette Leveillee, 79
ESCONDIDO - Annette Marie Leveillee, 79, died Saturday, April 21, 2001.
Born May 30, 1921, in Salem, Mass., she lived in Escondido for one year and San Diego County for 46 years.
Mrs. Leveillee is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Jeannette and John McIver of Poway and Phyllis and Philip Webb of Poway; grandchildren Tina and husband Michael Castro of Poway, Wendie Webb of Poway, Janna McIver of Poway and Justin McIver of Ramona; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. A private inurnment is planned.

Nolly Brooks, 80
ESCONDIDO - Nolly Rose Brooks, 80, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001.
Born May 27, 1920, in Brussels, Belgium, she lived in Escondido for 20 years.
She was a bookkeeper for McDonnell Douglas.
Mrs. Brooks is survived by daughters Juanita Brooks of La Jolla and Elizabeth G. Cummins of Escondido; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled for noon Friday, April 27, at McLeod Mortuary and a funeral service at 1 p.m. at McLeod Mortuary Chapel. Burial will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, April 27, at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

James Murphy, 87
ESCONDIDO - James B. Murphy, 87, died Tuesday, April 24, 2001.
Born Aug. 18, 1913, in Chicago, he lived in Escondido for 15 years.
He was a retired security guard. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Murphy was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Murphy, on June 23, 1999. He is survived by daughter Susan Ryan of Escondido and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. with rosary recited at 6:39 p.m. Monday, April 30, at McLeod Mortuary. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, at St. Maryıs Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Graciela Gastelum, infant
OCEANSIDE - Graciela Angelina Gastelum, 1 day old, died Tuesday, April 24, 2001, at Tri-City Medical Center.
She was born April 24, 2001, in Oceanside.
Graciela is survived by her mother and father, Grace and Frank A. Gastelum of Vista; brother Frank Isaiah Gastelum; sister Mariah Christina Gastelum; grandparents Frank and Sophia Gastelum and Elder and Christine Trejo, all of Vista. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles, Robert Gastelum, Monique Gastelum, Elder Trejo Jr., and Rene Trejo.
A funeral service is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at Eternal Hills Mortuary Chapel. Interment
will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.

OCEANSIDE - Geraldine H. Ayers, 66, died Sunday, April 22, 2001.
Born Jan. 2, 1935, in Colgate, Okla., she lived in Oceanside for 10 years. She was a secretary and in banking for 20 years.
Mrs. Ayers is survived by her husband of 44 years, Jack L. Ayers of Oceanside; son and daughter-in-law Robert L. and Becky Ayers of Lawton, Okla.; daughter and son-in-law Cindy and Ron Ayala of Panorama City; brothers and sisters-in-law Perry and Opal Reeves of Flora, Ill., and Valmond and Kuniko Reeves of Daleville, Ala.; and grandchildren Robert C. Ayers, Hollie Ayers, Troy Ayers and Van Jackie Simpson.
