David Cameron, 56

VISTA - David Duncan Cameron, 56, died Tuesday, April 24, 2001, at his home.

Born Jan. 21, 1945, in Joplin, Mo., he lived in Vista for 20 years. He was an electronic technician for Bank of America for 27 years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Mr. Cameron is survived by his companion, Elizabeth Parkin of Vista; mother Dorcas Cameron of Joplin, Mo.; and sister Sara Roescher of Joplin.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. today, April 27, at Allen Bros. Mortuary in Vista with the Rev. F. Ted Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Seneca Cemetery, in Seneca, Okla.

Allen Bros. Mortuary Vista is handling arrangements.

Mary Rugar, 66

PACIFIC GROVE - Mary ŗJane˛ Rugar, 66, died Saturday, April 7, 2001, in Monterey of cancer.

Born Feb. 3, 1935, in Kentucky, she had lived in Leucadia for more than 30 years.

She was a homemaker. She was co-founder of the Alzheimeršs Center in Solana Beach and volunteered many hours at the Sally Griffith Center in Pacific Grove. She enjoyed traveling, antiques and the beach.

Mrs. Rugar is survived by her husband, Jack A. Rugar of Pacific Grove; son and daughter-in-law Gary and Jeanette Rugar of Encinitas; daughter and son-in-law Laura and Eliud Garcia of Monterey, and grandchildren Ryan and Reid Rugar and Gabriel and Calista Garcia.

No services will be held at the request of the deceased.

Leo Palmer, 81

RAMONA - Leo A. Palmer, 81, died Friday, April 20, 2001 at Pomerado Hospital in Poway.

Born April 9, 1920, in Heber Springs, Ark., he served in the U. S. Navy during World War II as a gunneršs mate 2nd class, and received the World War II Victory Medal and the American and Asiatic-Pacific Area medal with two stars.

He had been employed by Ben F. Smith, Inc. as a concrete construction field superintendent for 37 years and was a member of the Carpenteršs Union for 37 years.

He was a member of the Al Bahr Shrine where he served as a director, and the John Spreckels Masonic Lodge 657 in San Diego, and was a member of the Alvarado Baptist Church where he had been a deacon. He enjoyed both freshwater and ocean fishing.

Mr. Palmer is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary M. Palmer of Ramona; son David Palmer of San Diego; daughter Catherine Hittle of Lawton, Okla.; brother Carl C. Palmer of Apple Valley; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 26, at Nuevo Memory Gardens Cemetery in Ramona with full military honors. Burial followed.

The family suggests donations in his memory to the Al Bahr Shrine for the Shriners Childrenšs Hospital, 5440 Kearny Mesa Road, San Diego, CA 92111 or to the American Diabetes Association, 225 Broadway, Suite 310, San Diego, CA 92101.

Susan Brody, 54

MURRIETA - Susan Gail Brody, 54, died Sunday, April 15, 2001.

She was born Sept. 19, 1946, in Los Angeles, where she lived most of her life. She also lived in Burbank for many years. She had been a legal secretary.

Mrs. Brody is survived by her mother, Lorayne Eilert; daughter Rashel Brody; and son Martin Brody. Inland Memorial handled arrangements.

Geraldine Floor, 81

RAMONA - Geraldine "Gerry" W. Floor died Tuesday, April 24, 2001.
Born July 24, 1919, in Pana, Ill., she lived in Ramona Terrace Estates for 25 years. She lived in Chula Vista before moving to Ramona.
She had been a department manager and buyer for a Montgomery Ward department store in Chula Vista. She was well known for her work in miniatures. She made miniature doll houses and accessories. She had won many awards and belonged to several organizations in that field.
She was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church of San Diego and was a seamstress. She enjoyed traveling with the Ramona Ramblers, and china and tole painting.
Mrs. Floor was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Floor, on Jan. 8, 1996.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law David and Karen Smith of Rancho Palos Verdes; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A viewing is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at Bonham Bros & Lee Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, at the chapel with the Rev. John Kariotakis of St. Spyridon Green Orthodox Church officiating. Graveside services will follow at Nuevo Memory Gardens.

Ardith Trickel, 79

ESCONDIDO - Ardith Mae Trickel, 79, died Sunday, April 22, 2001.
Born Jan. 5, 1922, in Stephenson County, Ill., she lived in Escondido for 17 years. She had been an executive secretary for Rockwell Inc.
Mrs. Trickel was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Leon and Dwight Rabe.
She is survived by her husband Ralph Trickel of Escondido; son Timothy J. Trickel of San Pedro; daughter and son-in-law Donna and Charles Hodge of Eagle Pointe, Ore.; brothers Dale Rabe of Peoria, Ariz., Wayne Rabe of Endeavor, Wis., and Virgil Rabe of Marshall, Mo.; sisters Geraldine Miller of Monroe, Wis., Evelyn Skurich of Fridley, Minn., and Coralyn Bauscher of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; and grandson Patrick Trickel.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 to 11 a.m. with funeral service at 11 a.m. today, April 28, at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home in Monroe Wis. with the Rev. Scott Marrese-Wheeler of Union Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment icon will follow at Greenwood Cemetery with Marrese-Wheeler officiating.

Mary Ridley, 81

SOLANA BEACH - Mary Ellen Ridley, 81, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001, at her home.
Born Oct. 30, 1919, in Christiansburg, Va., she lived in Solana Beach for 45 years. She had worked as a jewelry department manager for Sears.
Mrs. Ridley is survived by her husband of 35 years, Allan Ridley of Solana Beach; stepson and wife Jack and Peggy Ridley of Encinitas; daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Ron Morgan of Corona; sister Loretta Sing of W. Va.; grandchildren Jayson Morgan of Irvine and Jennifer Morgan of Tustin; and one great-grandson.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and funeral service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at Eternal Hills Mortuary in Oceanside with the Rev. David Plank officiating.
The family suggests memorial donations to the National Alzheimer's Associating, 8514 Commerce Ave., San Diego, CA 92121.

Max Albert Child, 61

FALLBROOK - Max Albert Child, 61, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001, at his home.
Born April 22, 1940, in Ogden, Utah, he lived in Fallbrook for 31 years. He was an engineer for 10 years with Conexant Systems Inc.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and enjoyed motorcycling and his small avocado grove.
Mr. Child is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jeannie Child of Fallbrook; mother Josephine Child of Sacramento; daughters Valerie Burns of San Marcos, Doreen Hinds of Roy, Utah and Darlene Soto of West Point, Utah; brothers Michael Child of Los Alamitos and Gary Child of Anchorage, Alaska; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A viewing is scheduled for 10 a.m. and funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Wayne Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside with Williams officiating.
In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to San Diego Hospice, 4311 Third Ave., San Diego, CA 92103-1407.

Richard Smith, 60

ROCHESTER, Ind. - Richard Arnold Smith, 60, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001, at the home of his sister.
Born Aug. 2, 1940, in Indianapolis, Ind., he had lived in Escondido and attended the Hidden Valley Christian Church of Escondido.
He served in the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam. He was director of the American Heart Association in Indianapolis.
He had worked at Memorex Corp. in Indianapolis and was a consultant for Datron World Communications Inc. He was a member of Accordion Lovers Society International and had been an amateur radio operator since the age of 14. He held the highest rating for an amateur radio license and enjoyed playing the accordion and swing dancing.
Mr. Smith is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Karen Sue and Bill Stokes of Rochester, Ind.; uncle Ernest Kreider and wife Ardyce of Bremen, Ind.; nephews Steve Stokes of Indianapolis, Richard Stokes of Elwood, Ind., and Chris Stokes of Rochester; and six great-nieces and nephews.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 29, at McClain Funeral Home in Denver, Ind. with the Rev. Paul Reeder officiating. Burial will be at Corninth Cemetery in Twelve Mile, Ind.
The family suggests memorial donations to Hidden Valley Christian Church of Escondido, 1300 S. Juniper, Escondido, CA 92025.

David Pico, 38

CLEVELAND, Ohio - David Lawrence Pico, 38, died Tuesday, March 27, 2001, in San Diego of cancer.
Born Nov. 25, 1962, in Escondido, he lived in Cleveland for eight years and San Diego for one year. He was a chef at Hooters in Cleveland.
Mr. Pico is survived by his mother, Diane E. Sharp of San Dimas; father Lawrence E. Pico of Rincon Indian Reservation; step-mother Catherine A. Pico of Rincon Indian Reservation; son Blair David Pico of Boston, Mass.; brother Michale Manson of San Dimas; sisters Debbie Madrid of San Dimas, Elizabeth W. Pico of San Diego and Allison Kraft of San Dimas; and stepsisters Barbara L. Allen and Dianna M. Allen, both of Escondido.
A Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, April 2, at Rincon Chapel. Burial was on April 4, at Rincon Cemetery at Rincon Indian Reservation. A private cremation took place.

Judith Keturi, 61

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Judith Keturi, 61, died Monday, April 2, 2001, at her home.
She spent the summers in Alaska and the winters in her home in Encinitas for the last 16 years.
She was a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado at Greely and went to Fairbanks in 1961 to teach grade school at Eielson Air Force base.
She had volunteered for many organizations, including the Fairbanks Heart Association, Fairbanks Food Bank, the Encinitas Community Resource Association and the Fairbanks and Wasilla Boy Scouts Associations. She played the clarinet in the Fairbanks and Anchorage Community Bands. She attended the Lutheran Church on Santa Fe Street when she was in Encinitas for the winter.
Mrs. Keturi was preceded in death by her parents, Jennie and Herman Uden.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ray Keturi; sons Troy Keturi of North Pole, Alaska and Tom Keturi of Beaverton, Ore.; daughter-in-law Karen Keturi of Beaverton; sisters Ruth Green of Helena, Mont., and Jean Wangrud of Eureka, Mont.; and grandsons Tyler Keturi of North Pole and Spencer and Benjamin Keturi of Beaverton.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, May 5, at the Fairbanks Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jeff Merkel officiating.

Donald Radford, 72
MURRIETA - Donald Thomas Radford, 72, died Monday, April 23, 2001, at his home.
Born Oct. 15, 1928, in Syracuse, N.Y., he lived in Murrieta for 10 years. He had worked as a sales representative for Curtis Industries and attended St. Peter's Catholic Church in Fallbrook. He served in the U.S. Army and enjoyed yard work, prayer meetings and building sheds.
Mr. Radford is survived by his wife, Margaret Radford of Murrieta; daughter Diane Machut of Denver; stepdaughters Diana Willrodt of Texas, Bonnie Harrison of Carlsbad, Julie Storbakken of Murrieta and Connie Hawk of Fallbrook; stepson Michael Daggett of Missouri and Daniel Daggett of Vista; and 13 grandchildren.
A memorial Mass was celebrated at 9 a.m. Friday, April 27, at St. Martha's Catholic Church in Murrieta. A private burial will take place at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego.
