FALLBROOK - Erika Dodge, 71, died Monday, July 31, 2000, of cancer, at her home.
Born Feb. 26, 1929, in Augsburg, Germany, she lived in Fallbrook for 12 years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Dodge is survived by her husband, Herbert V. Dodge of Fallbrook; sons Karl D. Dodge of Garden Valley and Herbert D. Dodge of Sacramento; daughters Karen R. Dodge and Susan E. Dodge, both of Los Angeles; and 10 grandchildren.
No service will be held. A private cremation is planned.

Tomas Zamora, 71
PAMPANGA, ANGELES CITY, Philippines - Tomas Lafradez Zamora, 71, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, of a heart attack, in the Philippines.
Born April 29, 1929, in Manila, Philippines, he lived in Pampanga for 13 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War before retiring. He was a co-founder of the Filipino-American Golf Association, serving as its first president, and owner of Ships Beef Inn, a restaurant in downtown San Diego from 1972 to 1977. He was an oil painter whose work was placed at the Balboa Fine Arts Museum in the '70s.
Mr. Zamora was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Zamora. He is survived by his father, Mariano Zamora; sons and daughters-in-law Tom and Lisa Zamora of Mira Mesa, Anthony and Marlene Zamora of Sacramento, Michael and Alice Zamora and Al Zamora, all of San Diego; daughter and son-in-law Zevelyn Zamora-Cringan and A.J. of Temecula; adopted daughters Angelica and Sarah Zamora of the Philippines; brothers Tony Zamora of the Philippines; sister Ophelia Magpayo of the Philippines; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Aug. 1 at St. Columba Catholic Church in San Diego. Interment icon will take place today, Aug. 2, in Manila.

Clifford Williamson, 72
SUN CITY - Clifford Ray Williamson, 72, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, of vascular disease, at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Riverside.
Born July 10, 1928, in Pharoah, Okla., he lived in Sun City for 11 years. He was a truck driver for the Teamsters Union 63 in Los Angeles for 35 years. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard for one year. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sun City and enjoyed woodworking, traveling the United States and vegetable gardening.
Mr. Williamson is survived by his wife, Dorothy Williamson of Sun City; sons Larry Williamson of Oro Grande and Roger Williamson of Clinton, Miss.; brother Carl Williamson of Mansfield, Texas; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation was held Aug. 1 at Miller-Jones Mortuary. A funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. today, Aug. 2, at Miller-Jones Mortuary. Burial will take place at Riverside National Cemetery.

John Kelly, 74
MURRIETA - John P. Kelly, 74, died Thursday, July 27, 2000, of a heart attack, at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
Born May 20, 1926, in Boston, he lived in Murrieta for two years. He was an electrician for International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 441, in Santa Ana, for 53 years, retiring in 1986. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of St. Martha's Catholic Church.
Mr. Kelly was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Kelly. He is survived by his wife, Frances Kelly of Murrieta; sons Michael Kelly of Temecula and David Kelly of Orange; brother Walter Kelly of Temecula; sisters Mary Ferriter of Cape Cod, Mass., and Winifred Conlin of Fountain Valley; and four grandchildren.
Visitation was held and a rosary recited Tuesday, Aug. 1, at Stout Family Funeral Home. A Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m., today, Aug. 2, at St. Martha's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at 10:45 a.m. at Riverside National Cemetery, Staging Area 4.

Ina Collins, 64
TEMECULA - Ina M. Collins, 64, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, at Rancho Springs Medical Center in Murrieta.
Born July 3, 1936, in Pueblo, Colo., she lived in Temecula for five years. She was a program control analyst at Hughes Aircraft for 14 years before retiring.
Mr. Collins is survived by her husband, Don Collins of Temecula; sons and daughters-in-law Ken and Julianne Collins of Conyers, Ga., Todd and Nancy Collins of Newbury Park and Jason Cooper of Temecula; daughters and sons-in-law Laura Collins of Chatsworth, Darcelle and David O'Donnell of Severn, Md., and Lisa and Bill Williamson of Detroit; and grandchildren Alisha, Chris, Kellianne, Conner and Bryan.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, at Hillside Chapel, Gate 17, at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, with the Rev. Philip A. Tukua officiating. Interment icon will follow.

SUN CITY - Josefa M. Aglugub, 79, died Thursday, July 27, 2000, at Menifee Valley Medical Center.
Born Aug. 27, 1921, in the Philippines, she lived in Sun City for five years. She was a homemaker for 58 years and enjoyed sewing, walking, gardening and reading.
Mrs. Aglugub is survived by her husband, Cosme Aglugub of Sun City; daughters Cirila Khan of Riverside and Gloria Sales and Mayroses Antonio, both of the Philippines; son Alex Aglugub of Sun City; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 2, at Evans Brown Sun City Mortuary. A graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, at Perris Valley Cemetery.

Carol Deger, 55
CANYON LAKE - Carol Sue Deger, 55, died Monday, July 31, 2000, of cancer, at her home.
Born Aug. 25, 1944, in Muskogee, Okla., she lived at Canyon Lake for 13 years and in Southern California for 54 years. She was the owner/operator of Canyon Lake Village Cleaners for six years and a member of the Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce, the Woman's Lions Club and Canyon Lake Community Church. She enjoyed gardening, bowling and crocheting.
Mrs. Deger is survived by her husband, Bill Deger of Canyon Lake; mother Arlene Brooks of Ventura; father and stepmother Earl and Rosalyn Brooks of Redondo Beach; son Corey Shipley of Paradise; daughter Laura Crosby of Tehachapi; sisters Linda Mendelsohn of Ventura and Shelley Cole of Seal Beach; and grandchildren Zachary Crosby and Caleb Crosby, both of Tehachapi.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today, Aug. 2, at Canyon Lake Community Church. A private Interment took place at Riverside National Cemetery.

Ethel Lewis, 88
ESCONDIDO - Ethel Ziphora Lewis, 88, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2000, in Escondido.
Born April 4, 1912, in Boyd, Texas, she lived in Escondido and San Marcos since 1942. She was a homemaker and a member of Emmanuel Faith Community Church. She loved gardening, sewing, fishing and the outdoors.
Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Edwin Lewis, in 1994. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Norma and Robert Halstead of Escondido; brother Thelbert Burns of Porterville; sister Esther Tackett of Bakersfield; grandchildren Gary, Cheryl, Steve and Lisa; and great-grandchildren Gene and Robyn.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana, with the Rev. Richard Williams officiating.

ESCONDIDO - Estela Madera, 53, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, in Escondido.
Born June 20, 1947, in Escuinapa Sinaloa, Mexico, she lived in Escondido for 27 years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Madera is survived by her husband of 32 years, Gerardo Madera of Escondido; mother Francisca Rojas of Mexico; daughter Martha Madera of Escondido; brothers and sister-in-law Luis Rojas, Apolinar Rojas and Rocio Rojas all of Mexico; sisters Francisca Rojas, Delia Rojas and Eva Rojas, all of Mexico; two grandchildren; and nieces Yaremi Padilla Lopez and Olaya Lopez Rojas.
Viewing will be held from 4 to 10 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. today, Aug. 3, at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary, with Deacon Modesto officiating. A Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 4, at Church of the Resurrection in Escondido, with the Rev. Gerardo officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Ila Truax, 79
SAN MARCOS - Ila Ann Truax, 79, died Wednesday, July 12, 2000, at Tri-City Medical Center.
Born Aug. 26, 1920, in Detroit, she lived in San Marcos for 10 years. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Carlsbad.
Mrs. Truax was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph D. "Jim" Truax, in 1984. She is survived by her son, Forrest "Jim" Youngs of San Marcos; stepson Mike Truax of Ann Arbor, Mich.; stepdaughter Carol Van Den Brnaden of Plantation, Fla.; sister Pat McAttee of San Pedro; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Carlsbad. Additional services will be held in Mount Pleasant, Mich. A private cremation was held and inurnment will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.

Ramon Cantera, 25
OCEANSIDE - Ramon Cantera, 25, died Wednesday, July 26, 2000, at UCSD Medical Center.
Born Dec. 21, 1974, in Mexico, he lived in Oceanside for 25 years. He was a warehouseman for Chacies Food Inc.
Mr. Cantera is survived by his father, Cirilo Cantera of Oceanside; daughters Vanessa Cantera and Angelica Cantera, both of Oceanside; sisters and brothers-in-law Maria and Carlos Galvan, Gloria and David Moran, Anna and Luis Perea and Lorena Santera, all of Oceanside, and Sandra Cantera of Fallbrook.
Visitation and viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., with a rosary recited from 7 to 8 p.m., today, Aug. 3, at Eternal Hills Chapel. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 4, at Mission San Luis Rey Church. Burial will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.

Martha Quandt, 85
RANCHO BERNARDO - Martha Alice Quandt, 85, died Tuesday, July 25, 2000, at Casa de Las Campanas in San Diego.
Born June 12, 1915, in Hancock, Mich., she lived in San Diego County for 25 years. She was a teacher in the Copper Country of Michigan and Apple Valley and Victorville before retiring after 40 years.
Ms. Quandt is survived by her brother, Albert W. Quandt of Iron Mountain, Mich.; and sister Marjorie Quandt of Arlington, Va.
Interment will take place at Marquette's Park Cemetery in Marquette, Mich.
The family suggests memorial donations to the San Diego Humane Society, 887 Sherman St., San Diego, CA 92110.

VISTA - Diana Rodriguez Sifuentes, 14, died Thursday, July 27, 2000, in Vista.
Born Oct. 22, 1985, in Oceanside, she lived in Vista for 14 years. She was a student.
Diana is survived by her mother and father, Luisa Rodriguez and Daniel Rodriguez of Vista; brothers Jose and Erik Rodriguez of Vista; and sister Gilda Rodriguez of Vista.
Visitation and viewing will be held and a rosary recited at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, at 1533 Rige Road in Vista. A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7, at 525 West Vista Way in Vista, with St. Francis of Assisi officiating. Burial will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.

VISTA - Pearl F. Tracy Carter, 70, died Wednesday, July 19, 2000, in Escondido.
Born Sept. 22, 1929, in Augusta, Maine, she lived in Vista for six years. She graduated from Cony High School in 1948 and worked for the state of Mississippi before retiring.
Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah L. Turner, in 1953. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Willie Carter of Vista; son Martin Turner of Escondido; daughters and son-in-law Fran Jacquez of Escondido, Rachel Nelson of the La Jolla Indian Reservation, Pamela Hilton of Nurveo, Doreen Agee of Boulevard and Hilda and Joe Chavez of San Pasqual; stepdaughters and sons-in-law Doris and Ken Hatlestad of Escondido and Shirley Wood of Jackson, Mich.; foster daughters Teri Ames-Newman of Escondido and Sara Fisher of Boulevard; brothers and sisters-in-law Bruce and Gwen Tracy of Hallowell, Maine, and Martin Jr. and Florence Tracy of North Turner, Maine; sister and brother-in-law Marylou Tracy and Alfred Ripley of Whitefield, Maine; grandchildren Tony Jacquez Jr., Tina Schultz, Melissa Knowles, Chief Lester Jr., Leonard Bull, Kristie Nelson, Larry Newman, Kimberley Hilton, Amanda, Joseph, Taciana and Aubrina Chavez, Scott and Paul Hatlestad, Star Wood, Charo McEvans, Mike Ames and Jeremiah and Mary Fisher; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

OCEANSIDE - Hazel Cross Whitley, 79, died Sunday, July 30, 2000, in Oceanside.
Born Jan. 2, 1921, in Cottonwood Falls, Kan., she lived in Oceanside for 61 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Whitley was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Cross, in 1984. She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Randolph Whitley of Oceanside; sons Kenneth D. Cross of Hesperia and Dennis D. Cross of Temecula; daughters Gloria L. Turner of Oceanside, Wanda C. Pettet of Amboy, Wash., and Lorna L. Maples of Morro Bay; brother Ed "Buck" Campbell of Dublin; sisters Wanda Asbury of Lockford, Lula Uptain of Spring Valley and Lela Batsel of Stockton; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4, at Oceanside Mortuary Chapel. A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at the mortuary, with the Rev. Lowell Bell officiating. Intermentwill follow at 11:30 a.m. at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.

SUN CITY - Ina Lieta Kent, 68, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2000, at a local convalescent home.
Born Oct. 13, 1931, in Pittsburgh, she lived in Sun City and had lived in Escondido for 27 years. She was a sales clerk for Walker Scott department store for 12 years.
Mrs. Kent is survived by her husband of 35 years, George R. Kent of Sun City; brother Earl Leita of Wexford, Pa.; sister Isa V. Leita of Pittsburgh; nieces Bobbye Lussier of San Diego and Lucy Cronin of Castro Valley; and great-nephews Brian Lussier of San Diego and Christopher Cafaro of San Francisco.
A private inurnment is planned.

Hilda Baldwin Bailey, 84
ESCONDIDO - Hilda Anora Baldwin Bailey, 84, died Sunday, July 23, 2000, at Palomar Medical Center.
Born April 15, 1916, in Brown City, Mich., she lived in Tucson, Ariz., and in Escondido for 30 years. She was a licensed psychiatric attendant nurse in Pontiac, Mich., and a nurses aide in Tucson and Escondido before her retirement in 1977.
Mrs. Bailey was preceded ind eath by her husband, E. Jack Bailey, in 1968; her sisters Mary Priscilla Baldwin, Margaret Greer and Ethyl Orchard; brother James Baldwin; and grandson Steven Jockwig.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Duane and Marilyn Bialey of Oxford, Mich.; daughters and sons-in-law Jeanette and Bill Jacobs of Escondido and Wilma and Dave Jockwig-Froling of Davisburg, Mich.; brother Nelson Baldwin of Croswell, Mich.; sisters-in-law San Borst of Rochester, Mich., and Eveis Baldwin of Marlette, Mich.; grandchildren Kevin, Barbara, Kelley, Bill, Susan, Korey, Dustin, Christine, Kimberley and Stephanie; great-grandchildren Eric, Ashley, Alexa, Shawn, Matthew, Vanessa, Jaime, Emily, Cassie, Elizabeth and Brandon; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Friday, July 28, at Wint Funeral Home in Clarkston, Mich. Burial will take place at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery in Troy, Mich.

Jose Magana, 59
RAMONA - Jose Magana, 59, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2000, at a Chula Vista hospital.
Born June 22, 1941, in Vera Cruz, Mexico, he lived in Ramona for 4 1/2 years. He was a commercial fisherman in Ensenada and worked for Lucky markets in the Orange County area for 15 years. He enjoyed woodworking and cooking.
Mr. Magana is survived by his wife of 33 years, Artemia Magana of Ramona; sons Hector Magana of North Long Beach, Oscar Magana of Ramona and Eduardo Magana aboard the USS Princeton in San Diego; brother Manuel Magana of Norwalk; sisters Ana Alejandre of Bloomington and Maria Portugal of Chino; and seven grandchildren.
Viewing will be held from 4 to 10 p.m. today, Aug. 3, at Bonham Bros. & Lee Ramona Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. and a Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 4, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Ramona. A committal service and burial will follow at Nuevo Memory Gardens in Ramona.
