Betty Marie (Angele) Bender

Betty Marie (Angele) Bender passed away on May 12, 2016 in Fort Bragg, CA, after a brief illness.
Born on January 12, 1929 in Sacramento, to Carson Joseph Angele and Helen Marie (Helm) Angele, she was 87.
Betty was raised on the Angele family ranch on Harvey Road, west of Galt, and attended Galt schools.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James C. Bender, brothers, Albert Wharton, Robert Angele and Clarence Angele, and a sister Diana Angele.
She is survived by her two daughters, Anna M. Anderson of Alta, and Pamela K. Silva, grandson, James C. Silva, and great-grandson, James R. Silva, all of Fort Bragg; brother, Merle Angele and sister, Dora M. Hirtel, both of Lodi.
Betty had many hobbies and loved to sew and do crafts.
She loved to travel and had many adventures with her husband and children.
She was an avid gardener and, wherever Betty lived, she created beauty surrounding her home.
Per her wishes, no services will be held.
Contributions may be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association or charity of choice.

Kirk William Hollingsworth
1963 - 2016

Kirk William Hollingsworth entered the world on December 30, 1963 in Redwood City CA.
His time on Earth ended unexpectedly in Stockton, CA on June 20, 2016.
He was born kicking and screaming and proceeded to live 52 years still doing both, as needed.
He married Leanne, his loving, devoted and adoring soulmate in 1998.
Their partnership was formed when they were young and forged by unconditional love and unwavering faith in each other.
Together, they raised a son, Mark, to whom Kirk was an inspired, dedicated and proud father.
Kirk did not tread lightly; rather, he laughed loudly, loved fiercely, and left those who knew him with stories to tell for the rest of their days.
He graduated from Calaveras High School and worked as a Master Diesel Mechanic/Shop Manager.
He was employed by Heavy Transport/Bragg Companies.
Whether near, dear or a pain-in-the-rear, he gave the people in his life something to talk about and kept them guessing much of the time.
He was passionate about the San Francisco Giants, NASCAR, NHRA and Flat Track Racing at Lodi Cycle Bowl every Saturday night.
Kirk is survived by his adoring wife, Leanne Hollingsworth and devoted son Mark, of Galt, CA.
Others left behind to mourn and miss him include: Mother Lola and Papa John Zmak, Father Larry and Talis Hollingsworth, mother-in-law Deanne and Scott Smuck, father-in-law Jerry and Holly Fosnight, brother, Dean Hollingsworth, Uncle Don Hollingsworth Sr., sister-in-law, Tiffany and Matt Walker, brother-in-law, Gary (Gazoo) Fosnight, nephew, Hunter Walker, nephew, Cole Hollingsworth, Kitty Friend and loyal shop dog, Luna.
He is also survived by extended family and many close friends.
Kirk was preceded in death by cousin, Donald Hollingsworth, Jr.; grandparents, James and Lillian Hollingsworth; grandparents, August and Aline Zeller and Chow Chow.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 29th, at 10:00 a.m. at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave., in Lodi.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 28th from 8:00am-8:00pm at Lodi Funeral Home.
Graveside prayer and farewell will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.

Genevieve Hueseman
1933 - 2016

Genevieve Hueseman, 83, of Lodi, passed away on June 27, 2016, surrounded by her family.
Gen was born in Long Lake, South Dakota on April 10, 1933, to Tobias and Ann Rath.
She had two brothers: Clarence Rath (Virginia) and James Rath (Gina).
She has three children: Rita Lancaster, Ronald Rall (Linda), and Linda Rall.
She married David Hueseman in 1973; she has two-stepdaughters, Debbie Allen and Linda Smith.
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren: James Perman, Mike Lancaster (Shonna), Alexandria Valente (Gary), Ryan Rall (Amanda), Ian Rall and Christopher Rall, Genevieve Morrison (Kevin), Katherine Gonsalves (Vincent), Andrea Duff, Kristen Allen and Julie Allen.
She also has 8 great-grandchildren.
She worked as a hairdresser at Dorothy's, Villa Tress, and Lillian's.
Gen was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Clarence; sister-in-law, Virginia Rath; and son-in-law, Larry Lancaster.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Friday, July 1, 10:00 a.m. at Lodi Memorial Cemetery.
There will be a Celebration of Gen's Life immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church.
A reception will then follow at the church fellowship hall.

Lloyd Jerome Joachim
1923 - 2016

Lloyd Joachim, age 92, passed away on June 20, 2016 after a short and courageous battle with lymphoma.
Lloyd was born in Ashley, North Dakota to Emma and Andrew Joachim.
He graduated from Ashley High School in 1941.
He served in WWII.
The Corps of Army Engineers as a Demolition Specialist with the 15th Engineer Battalion, 9th Infantry Division; serving in Europe in the "Battle of the Bulge", his unit was awarded a Presidential Unit Citation for being among one of the first units to cross the Ludendorff Bridge at Remagen, on the Rhine River.
He was discharged from the Army in 1946 and returned to Ashley, to marry his sweetheart Esther Bender.
He worked as an Electronic Technician installing and servicing X-ray Imaging Systems primarily for Aerojet General Corps and then Picker International until his retirement in 1986.
Lloyd was a man of integrity with strong family values.
He lead an active life and cherished the simple pleasures; his McDonald's coffee clutch, which he so enjoyed, and was good medicine, daily walks, Sunday lunches at Coco's, and family get togethers.
He loved to read, was always up for political debate, and was absolutely intrigued with the Cosmos.
(Uncle) Lloyd was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Esther, son, Jerome, sister, Mercedes Cox and brother Alfred Joachim.
He leaves his loving and devoted family of nieces and nephews.
He also leaves many caring friends.
Private services will be held for the immediate family.
Lloyd will be placed to rest beside his wife and son at the Lodi Cemetery.

Nancy Ruth Kiesz
1949 - 2016

Nancy Ruth Kiesz, of Woodbridge, CA passed away on June 23, 2016.
She was born on November 1, 1949, in Illinois, to Richard and Edna Bayne.
She worked as an accountant for 44 years.
Nancy enjoyed scuba diving and traveling.
She was member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Kiesz; daughter, Christina Kiesz; son, Jonathan (Jasmine) Kiesz; grandson, Jack Crist; brother, Richard Bayne.
She was preceded in death by her brother, James Ames.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 28th, 11am at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
There is no visitation and committal is private.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Hospice of San Joaquin.
Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Marjory Francis "Marge" (Woodworth) Tone
(1915 - 2010)

Marge & Jack (Bud) Tone were married over 75 years.
Of 15 siblings, Marge Tone is survived by her sister Patty Agers; daughters Jacqueline Polk (Paul), Joanne Gyr (Walter), Kathleen Hammer (Gerard), Susan McCreery (Robert) and Patricia Gilbreath (Jerry), plus 3 more generations, so far.
Marge was an outstanding rancher & partner with Bud.
Working with incredible dedication, they transformed Jack Tone Ranch into a modern farm and world famous Arabian horse ranch.
Pioneer horse breeder; Marge produced Arabian horses respected and sought worldwide.
Invited by Princes, Princesses & a President to travel the world as their guest, Marge's favorite place on earth was home at Jack Tone Ranch.
Beloved Marge, we miss her powerful character and beautiful soul.
She epitomized absolute integrity with a pure heart full of love; a woman of true faith.
We'll all be together again, Sweet Margie, God willing.

A. Virginia Davis
(1938-2010)

On January 8, 2010, A. Virginia Davis, fondly known as Ginger to her family and friends, left her cancer-ridden body to be with her precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Ginger, a retired SICU RN at St. Joseph's Medical Center, was known by her colleagues as the Fire Lady due to testing the fire alarm system by overcooking a bag of microwave popcorn.
The City of Stockton Fire Department made her day by showing up in response to the alarm.
The smoke carried two floors and she was never allowed to live it down.
Ginger was employed by St. Joseph's Medical Center for 27 years, until her retirement in 2005.
Ginger was born in Canon City, CO, in 1938, raised in the Sacramento area, graduating from Grant Union High School in 1956.
She married her husband and widower, Mel Davis, on May 26, 1961.
They bore three beautiful children, Rachelle, Greg, and Linda who in turn gave them two son-in-laws, one daughter-in-law, and six grandchildren.
She has two sisters and one brother and many nieces and nephews.
Ginger is much loved and will be missed but is rejoicing in the presence of her Savior and King.
Look out pecan pie, here she comes.
We love you, Sweets, Mama, and Grandma.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the A. Virginia "Ginger" Davis Memorial Nursing Fund at Jim Elliot Christian High School, 2695 W. Vine, Lodi, CA 95242.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, January 16th at First Baptist Church of Linden at 1:30 p.m. with a light reception to follow.

Lois Lucille (Baker) Stapleton

Mrs. Lois Lucille Stapleton, a longtime resident of Woodbridge, passed away on June 14, 2010, at the age of 87.
Mrs. Stapleton was born in Ola, Arkansas to Arthur Lee and Nettie Mae (Carie) Baker.
She married H. A. Stapleton, Jr., on September 16, 1942.
They moved to Richmond, CA for a few years, and then moved to Woodbridge in May of 1952.
Mrs. Stapleton enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, gardening, particularly flowers, and all kinds of animals.
She was a member for over fifty years of Woodbridge Community Church.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she will be so very missed.
She is survived by her two sons, Dean (Lynn) Stapleton of Acampo, and Delmus Stapleton of Woodbridge; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Ken (Wylene) Baker of Sand Springs, OK; three sisters, Frankie Schmitt of Plainview, AR, Bonnie (L.C.) Berry of Russellville, AR and May Harkey of Russellville, AR.
She was preceded in death by her husband, H.A. Stapleton; son, Huston Stapleton; four brothers, Edward, Paul, John, and Victor Baker.
Friends are invited to visit Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Lodi Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held Friday, June 18th, at 12:00 noon at Lodi Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Stapleton's name to Asera Care, 2529 W. March Lane, Suite. 101, Stockton, CA 95207. Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
