Lois Lucille (Baker) Stapleton

Mrs. Lois Lucille Stapleton, a longtime resident of Woodbridge, passed away on June 14, 2010, at the age of 87. Mrs. Stapleton was born in Ola, Arkansas, to Arthur Lee and Nettie Mae (Carie) Baker. She married H. A. Stapleton, Jr., on September 16, 1942. They moved to Richmond, CA, for a few years, and then moved to Woodbridge, in May of 1952. Mrs. Stapleton enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, gardening, particularly flowers, and all kinds of animals. She was a member for over fifty years of Woodbridge Community Church. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she will be so very missed. She is survived by her two sons, Dean (Lynn) Stapleton of Acampo, and Delmus Stapleton of Woodbridge; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Ken (Wylene) Baker of Sand Springs, OK; three sisters, Frankie Schmitt of Plainview, AR, Bonnie (L.C.) Berry of Russelville, AR and May Harkey of Russelville, AR. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.A. Stapleton; son, Huston Stapleton; four brothers, Edward, Paul, John, and Victor Baker. Friends are invited to visit Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Friday, June 18th, at 12:00 noon at Lodi Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Stapleton's name to Asera Care, 2529 W. March Lane, Suite. 101, Stockton, CA 95207. Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Brandon Lee Perry
(1987 - 2009)

Brandon Lee Perry, age 22, of Lockeford, passed away suddenly on December 12, 2009, at Lodi Memorial Hospital with both of his parents at his side.
Brandon was born early on June 23, 1987, in Sacramento, California to Roderick Lee and Millie (Rowell) Perry.
Brandon was a very special young man and in spite of his many disabilities, he loved life and lived it to the fullest with the help of his loving family.
Besides his family, Brandon's second love was music, all music, but especially country music.
Brandon always showed everyone around him unconditional love, and he could always find happiness in the simple every day things that most people take for granted. Brandon Lee was the love of our lives, and his loss will leave a deep void in our lives. The heavens will shine brighter now that they have a new star to light our way.
Brandon is survived by his parents, Roderick and Millie Perry; brothers: Douglas Rowell, Sean Rowell, and Cameron Perry; sister, Dana Rowell; nephews, Sean D. Rowell and Justin Green; and nieces: Taryn Maxwell, Mariah Maxwell, Valerie Perry, and Veronica Perry. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his sister, Dawn Marie Rowell.
We would like to give special thanks to Dr. Raras and Dr. York at Kaiser Permanente for many years of excellent care.
Friends are invited to visit on Saturday, December 19, from 9:00 a.m. until 12 Noon at Lodi Funeral Home with a funeral service to be held at 1:00 p.m.
Committal is private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in Brandon's memory to the Tribute Program at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Lodi Funeral Home.

Kevin Anthony Lee
1961 - 2010)

Kevin Anthony Lee, of Lodi, passed away unexpectedly on September 14, 2010, in Lodi. He was born on December 16, 1961, also in Lodi. He attended local schools and was a cook for fifteen years. He also had numerous other occupations. He was well-known for his love of music, fishing, swimming and camping. He is survived by his mother, Wanda Dudney of Lodi; brothers, Bryan and John Lee, Jr., of Lodi; sister, Cynthia Lee of Woodbridge; and three nephews and one niece. He was preceded in death by his father, John Lee, Sr. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Monday, September 20, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Gravity Church, 715 S. Central St. in Lodi. There is no visitation, and committal is private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Uptown Thrift, 21 S. Sacramento St. Lodi. Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Kay Frances (Moore) Jones
(1942 - 2010)

Kay passed away suddenly Tuesday, September 14, 2010 in Modesto, CA at the age of 67.
Kay was born on November 9, 1942 in Lancaster, CA to Edward & Mary Moore. She graduated from Tracy High School in 1960 and Modesto Junior College in 1962.
Kay married Charles Eugene Jones "Gene" on September 29, 1962 and gave birth to Charles Eugene Jones, Jr (Chuck) on November 1, 1963. Kay retired from the Modesto Irrigation District after 25 years of employment.
Kay is best known for her wonderful sewing talents, and many people were touched by her gifts of beautiful quilts, including the Shriner's Children's Hospital in Sacramento.
Kay was involved in the Bernina Club at R. Lily Stem Quilts, the Manteca Quilting Guild, and most recently the Hen Creek Stitchers in Galt, which she founded, and Project R.I.D.E. (Riding Instruction Designed for Education). She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, Shady Ladies of Galt. Kay also raised box turtles at her home in Galt.
Kay is preceded in death by her father, Edward Russell Moore; Mother, Mary Jane Zane; Sister Mary Zane Seyfried; Nephew, Matthew Russell Leuthard; and half-brother, Edward Russell Moore, Jr.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Charles Eugene Jones of Galt; son, Charles Eugene Jones, Jr and wife Andrea of Modesto; Grandsons, Adam Reed Jones of Modesto and Brandon Leotice Wood of Eielson AFB, AK; Granddaughter, Amber LeeAnn Cromwell and husband Cameron of Turlock; Brother, Patrick Henry Moore and wife Irene of Sacramento; and Sister-in-law, Lois Irene Peters and husband Brian of Modesto; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life open house on Sunday, September 19, 2010 from 1:00-5:00 at 2832 Medinah Way in Modesto.

Pauline Lucille (Wiegand) Vieira
(1947 - 2010)

Our beloved wife, daughter, mother and sister Pauline Lucille Vieira passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2010 in a Sacramento hospital. She was born April 30, 1947 in Bridgeport, Nebraska to Edwin & Betty Wiegand. As a young girl Pauline came to California with her family settling in Fremont where she attended local schools. She received her Associates Degree from Delta College and was a homemaker throughout her life. Her passion in life was exhibiting dogs where she received national recognition with Maltese and Yorkshire Terriers with over forty champions and winning many specialties. She was also chairperson of many Maltese and Yorkshire Terrier specialties.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Charles Vieira of Acampo, two sons, David Vieira of Acampo and Dan (Rachel) Vieira of Esparto, CA four grandchildren and one great-grandchild, her mother Betty (Frank) Cabrera of Pleasanton and sister Joan (Michael) Rushford of Livermore, nephew Craig Schlicher, great nephew Joel Schmierer.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 1:00 pm in the Evergreen Chapel of Cherokee Memorial Park Hwy 99 & Harney Lane Lodi.
Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

James Edwin Beck

James Edwin Beck, passed away suddenly September 12, 2010. He is survived by wife, Paula Beck, children Janice (Philip) Beck Herechski, Kathryn (Sean) Beck, Michael (Debra) Beck, Nancy Matheney and Marjorie (Dennis) Beck Dorton, stepchildren - Julie Goossen and Michele (Glenn) McKimie, 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Graveside services 10:00 AM, September 17, 2010 Cherokee Memorial Park, Highway 99 at East Harney Lane, Lodi. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to a charity of choice. Donahue Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Matsuko "Connie" (Hayashida) Murray
(1938 - 2010)

Matsuko "Connie" Murray passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 12, 2010, at the age of 72. She was born on June 16, 1938, in Fukuoka, Japan to Shingo and Kisao Hayashida. Matsuko met her husband, George and moved to the US in 1965. She lived in Lodi, for over 37 years and worked for San Joaquin Delta College for 20 years before her retirement.
Matsuko is survived by her daughter, Theresa Wallace and her husband, Mitch of Pleasanton; her son, Ronald Murray and his wife, Amy of Elk Grove; her grandchildren, Trevor Wallace and Jazmin Murray; and her step-grandchildren, Cedric, Aidan and Brennan Licari. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Murray.
A "Celebration of Life" will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2010, 1:00–4:00 p.m. in the Cellar Room at Wine and Roses, 2505 W. Turner Road, Lodi, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the (2007 O Street, Sacramento, CA 95811).

LeRoy E. "Roy" Getty
(1924 - 2010)

Roy Getty, age 86, of Lodi, California, passed away peacefully on Labor Day, September 6, 2010. He was born June 5, 1924 in White Lake, South Dakota, where he spent his childhood and married his wife, Alcene, in 1948.
His life was dedicated to his Country and his family. Roy served 4 years in the Merchant Marines, and the next 22 years he served in the U.S. Air Force. He and his family lived at many of the Air Force bases within the United States. He was also based in England, where the second of his three children were born. He served in active duty in the Vietnam War and was stationed in Tui Oi, Vietnam. Roy achieved the status of Sr. Master Sgt. before his retirement in 1974 at Beale Air Force Base in California.
After his retirement from the service he and his family lived and worked in San Francisco for the National Park Services for 10 years. He was the head of maintenance and in charge of the rebuilding of Alcatraz Island and also the San Francisco Waterfront.
His retirement in 1984 brought him to Lodi, California where he and his family have resided for 32 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting pheasants in South Dakota. He and his family made many trips to special places in his RV. He especially liked to watch his favorite 'Kings' Basketball on TV, and play cribbage with his grandsons.
Roy is survived by his wife of 62 years, Alcene Getty; three sons and their wives, David (Monique) Getty of Ft. Worth, Texas, Paul (Julie) Getty of Lodi, CA, and Mark Getty of Lodi, CA. A sister, Doris Hanson of Lodi, as well as four grandchildren, Marco (Amber) Getty of Manteca, CA, Steven Getty of Lodi, CA, Guinevere (G.G.) and Jocelyn (J.J.) Getty of Ft. Worth, Texas.
A Private Memorial Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, September 15. 2010, at 1:00 p.m. in the Garden of Gospels at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and Harney Lane, Lodi. Pastor Bill Johnson will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made in Roy's memory to:, 207 E. Alpine Ave., Stockton, CA 95204.
