Laurine Russel Haupt, 76, a resident of Palo Alto for 34 years, died
Nov. 18, 1994 after a long illness. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, he was a computer technician for Hewlett-Packard for 29 years and a member of the First Baptist Church of Palo Alto. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lena Haupt of Palo Alto; two sons; a daughter; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Ivan McGinnis
Ivan McGinnis, 79, a resident of Menlo Park for more than 35 years, died
in Redwood City on Jan. 28, 1994. A native of Corvallis, Ore., he graduated from Oregon State University and worked for 41 years as a chemical engineer at Dupont, retiring in 1977. He was a member of the American Chemical Society and Menlo Park Presbyterian Church, and enjoyed photography, classical music and science. William G. "Bill" Raney, 76, a 40-year resident of Menlo Park, died

Charlotte Melanie Berndt, 90, a native of Germany, died
in Palo Alto on Feb. 2, 1994. After growing up in Europe and living for many years in Argentina, she moved to this country in 1949. She had lived in California for 16 years and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Palo Alto. She is survived by seven sons, including Martin Berndt of Palo Alto; three daughters; 27 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. at home Feb. 7, 1994. A native of South Dakota, she grew up in Palo Alto and Los Altos. She was an East Bay schoolteacher and an active bridge player in the area.

in Mountain View on Feb. 2, 1994. A native of Adamson, Okla., he had lived in Portola Valley for 34 years. He is survived by his wife, Alberta F.
