Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. May 6 at Roller & Hapgood & Tinney, 980 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto.

Dorothy Finstad Clarke, 83, a 48-year resident of Palo Alto, died
April 24, 1994. A native of Windom, Minn., she graduated from the University of Minnesota and received a master's degree from Columbia University. She was a social worker. She is survived by two daughters and three grandchildren.
Michael David Langdon
Michael David Langdon, 34, a 15-year resident of Palo Alto, died
March 31, 1994 after a long illness. Raised in Palo Alto, he attended Foothill College in Los Altos Hills and graduated as an emergency medical technician from Butte Community College in Chico. He is survived by a daughter; a son; a sister, Lorie Langdon of Palo Alto; and his mother and father. Barry J. Lines, 49, a resident of Menlo Park, died
April 27, 1994 after a short illness. A native of San Francisco, he was a mortgage banker with Wells Fargo Bank. He was a member of the Palo Alto Elks Lodge, #1471. He is survived by his wife, Alice Lines of Menlo Park; a daughter; a son; and two grandchildren. Ramona Jane Palmer, 89, a lifetime resident of Menlo Park, died
April 28, 1994 in Portola Valley. She had lived for some time at the Crane Place care home for senior citizens. She formerly worked at the tuberculosis sanitarium in Redwood City. She is survived by two daughters, Grace Vilez of Menlo Park and Marian Suliteanu of Portola Valley, and three grandchildren. Clifford T. Preston
Clifford T. Preston, 72, a 44-year resident of Palo Alto, died
April 21, 1994. A native of Stockton, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He received both his bachelor's and master's degrees from Golden Gate University. He was employed in the insurance industry for 39 years. His interests included gardening, hiking and swimming. He is survived by his wife, Maryana Preston of Palo Alto; four sons, Richard, Brian, John and Jeff Preston; a brother; and four grandchildren. Daniel A. Seedman
Daniel A. Seedman, 76, a resident of Palo Alto for more than 30 years, died
April 24, 1994. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and did graduate work at the University of Southern California. After pioneering research in solid rocket propellants for 10 years in Southern California, he moved to Palo Alto to work in the field of nutrition and later in the defense industry. He is survived by a daughter; a son, Eric Seedman of Palo Alto; and five grandchildren.
Max E. Wilkins
Max E. Wilkins, 72, a 42-year resident of Palo Alto, died
April 16, 1994. A native of Nebraska, he attended the Lincoln School of Commerce and graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1948. He served in the U.S. Army in India during World War II. He worked for NASA at the Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, for 26 years as an aeronautical research scientist. He is survived by his wife, Lois Wilkins of Palo Alto; a daughter; two sons; and two grandsons. An open house at the family home will be held in his memory from 2 to 5 p.m. May 14. Thomas A. Freese, 48, a seven-year resident of Menlo Park, died

Robert C. Hughes
Robert C. Hughes, 79, a resident of Atherton, died
May 4, 1994. He graduated from San Mateo High School and served in the Merchant Marines. In the late 1940s, he became president of Pacific Ready Mix, which under his own leadership expanded from a local company to a statewide concrete and building supplier. He was a member of the Peninsula Golf and Country Club, the Associated General Contractors and the San Mateo Elks Lodge #1112. He is survived by his wife, Mabel W. Hughes of Atherton; a son, Robert John Hughes of Los Altos Hills; four grandsons, including Robert Nicholas Hughes and Paul Jonathan Hughes of Los Altos Hills; two sisters; and six nephews. Frances P. Johnson, 65, a 37-year resident of Palo Alto, died
May 6, 1994 after a short illness. A native of New York, she graduated from Adelphi University and was an elementary school teacher. She was an honorary life member of Wildlife Rescue and active in the 4-H Handicapped Riding Program and the Sierra Club, among many other activities. She is survived by her husband, Lucius W. Johnson Jr. of Palo Alto; three daughters; three brothers; and a grandson.
