July 25, 1994 of cancer. She was a member of the Junior League, the Francisca Club and the Menlo Circus Club. A graduate of the Hamlins School in San Francisco, she attended the University of Nevada and the University of New Mexico, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. Franklin Albert Weinert, 39, a native of Palo Alto, died
July 25, 1994 of cancer. He is survived by his wife, Antoinette "Kitty" Weinert of Palo Alto; his parents, Robert and Betty Weinert of Palo Alto; two daughters; a son; two sisters; two brothers; his grandmother; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held July 31 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 625 Hamilton Ave., Palo Alto.
Esther R. Willmott
Esther R. Willmott, 82, died
July 21, 1994 at Stanford Medical Center after a short illness. She was a registered nurse with the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Menlo Park. A native of Kennett, Mo., she lived in Menlo Park for 45 years.
Selma Irene Davis
Selma Irene Davis, 78, a 45-year resident of Palo Alto, died
July 6, 1994 from complications of Hodgkin's disease. A native of Montana, she was retired from I. Magnin, where she worked for 30 years in a variety of positions, including assistant buyer and department manager. She is survived by a daughter, Karla Davis of Palo Alto; a son; two grandchildren, Annalisa and Jared Rosmarin of Palo Alto; a sister; two aunts; and several nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held Aug. 6 at 4 p.m. at 26 Morton Way, Palo Alto. Leo A. Fauro
Leo A. Fauro, 88, died
July 28, 1994 at his home in Redwood City after a short illness. He was a painting contractor for for 30 years before retiring in 1970. A Canadian native, he was a resident of the Redwood City-Atherton area for 39 years. Survivors include his wife, Helen; daughters Lauren Fauro of Menlo Park and Gene Fauro Pratt of Atherton; and a brother.

Lydia A. Schrankel, 78, a 10-year resident of Menlo Park, died
July 29, 1994 at College Park Convalescent Center in Menlo Park after a long illness. A native of Napoleon, N.D., she was a homemaker. She is survived by six sisters, including Amelia Sicard of Menlo Park and Marion Wiehoff of Palo Alto. Donations to the American Heart Association are preferred.
Joseph W. Dochnahl
Joseph W. Dochnahl, 86, a resident of Los Altos Hills, died
July 31, 1994 after a long illness. The Illinois native was a retired naval officer who also worked for 15 years at Lockheed. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the De Anza Lancers and the the Los Altos Hills Trail Committee. Pauline A. Hattoom
Pauline A. Hattoom, 83, a 52-year resident of Menlo Park, died
at her home Aug. 3, 1994. A homemaker, she was born
in Porterville, Calif., where she was an All-American basketball player for Porterville High School. Survivors include a son, Jerry Hattoom of Menlo Park, and a daughter, Lynda Hattoom Martinez.
Miriam Louise Schnebly
Miriam Louise Schnebly, 69, a longtime resident of the Midpeninsula, died
Aug. 6, 1994 of pancreatic cancer at her home in Menlo Park. A native of Santa Maria, she lived in Palo Alto and Portola Valley for 35 years and more recently in Menlo Park. She was a member of the Woodside Trail Club and the Peninsula Carriage Driving Club and a great lover of ponies, trail riding and horse show activities. In addition, she enjoyed the decorative arts and yachting. She is survived by her husband, F. David Schnebly of Menlo Park; four daughters; a son; and eight grandchildren.
David Jordan Stone
David Jordan Stone, 76, died
Aug. 5, 1994 at his home in Palo Alto. A native of Sacramento, he received his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley, his MBA from Harvard and his law degree from Stanford. He was a naval aviation officer during World War II and received the Purple Heart for combat during the battle of Leyte Gulf. He founded Alamo Corp. and Stone Exploration. He enjoyed fly fishing, golf, dominoes, piano and reading. He is survived by his wife; five children; nine grandchildren; a sister; and two brothers.
