Private services have been held for Jean Sophie Bennight, 85, who died
at El Camino Hospital last month. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, she was a resident of Moountain View for 50 years. She graduated from Dickinson High School in New Jersey and married
to Medford J. Bennight, who preceded her in death, in Berkeley. She was a charter member of the Navy Wives Club at Moffett Field, a member of St. Joseph's Church, and later St. Simon's while a resident at the Mt. View Health Care Center for about the last year. She volunteered at St. Joseph's School. She is survived by two brothers, Victor and Salvy Rubel and sister Josie Black, all of New Jersey; three children, Victor of Redwood City, Virginia McCready of San Jose and Violet O'Malley of Ft. Wayne, ID and six grandchildren. Internment arranged by Cusimano Family Colonial Mortuary, Mountain View. Contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

Steve Viscovich
Steve Viscovich, a native of Mountain View, died
in Los Angeles Oct. 10. He was 83.
A graduate of Mountain View High School an Stanford University (1942), Mr. Viscovich worked as an engineer for Douglas Aircraft for 35 years. He is survived by his wife Patricia; his children, Mike and Lisa; three grandchildren; and his brothers George, John, and Charles. Services will be held in Los Angeles. The family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

Services for Pamela A. Solid, age 33, were held April 4 at the Cusimano Family Colonial Mortuary, 96 W. El Camino Real, and were followed by a burial Mass at St. Athanasius Church, 160 N. Rengstorff Avenue and a private inurnment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Los Altos. A native of Mountain View, Solid died
on March 30. She is survived by her father and mother, Ramon and Virgina Ruiz; her children Daniel Michael Ruiz and Kenneth Mason Solid; and her grandfather Florentino Ruiz.

Oscar Starker
Graveside services were held on Monday April 3, at Alta Mesa Memorial Park in Palo Alto for Oscar Starker, who died
on March 31. A Mountain View resident for 22 years, he was a manager for Kaufman Scrap and Metals. Mary Elizabeth Kimball
Memorial services were held Dec. 28 at Peninsula Bible Church in Palo Alto for Mary Elizabeth Kimball, who died
Dec. 22. She was 91.
Born in Indianapolis in 1909, Mrs. Kimball lived in California for 74 years. After graduating from the University of California at Berkeley in 1928, she worked at Stanford and the Los Lomitas School District and also volunteered at Green Pastures and the San Jose City Team.
Mrs. Kimball is survived by her sons John Milo Kimball of Mountain View and Jay Bryan Kimball of Sweet Home, Ore.; her daughter Karin Fay Kimball Clinesmith of Benge, Wash.; her sister Kathryn Pyle; and her brothers Eugene Smith and Herbert Smith.

Ted Morando
Memorial services were held Dec. 29 for Ted Morando, a resident of Mountain View from 1973. He was 88.
A native of Piedmont, Italy, Mr. Morando moved to California with his family as an infant. He began his lifelong career in electrical contracting at the age of 14 and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1931. An avid dancer and bowler, he was also a member of the Bechtel bowling team.
Mr. Morando is survived by his wife, Ada; his son, Lyle; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Paul Bouladier
A burial Mass was held Jan. 17 at St. William Catholic Church in Los Altos for Paul Bouladier, who died
Jan. 15 in Mountain View. He was 91.
A native of Michigan, Mr. Bouladier was a repair technician with the New York Telephone Company. He is survived by his wife, Josephine Bouladier of Mountain View; his brother, Joseph Bouladier of Houston, Tex.; four step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

Suzie Sultana Benezra
Services will be held at 1075 Terra Bella, Mountain View, on Sunday, Feb. 4 for Suzie Sultana Benezra, a longtime resident of Mountain View who died
at home Jan. 6 after a short illness. She was 84.
A native of New York City, Benezra moved to the Bay Area at the age of three and to Mountain View in the 1950s. She worked as a barber, a drafter of blueprints for the Navy during the Second World War, and a teacher. Benezra taught in school districts around the South Bay for 30 years. She also enjoyed hiking and other outdoor activities in her free time.
Benezra is survived by her siblings' spouses and by her nieces and nephews, who live in the Bay Area.

Jan Coles Labrum
Services were held Dec. 9 for Jan Coles Labrum, a 30-year resident of Mountain View who died
of pulmonary hypertension on Oct. 16. She was 52.
Born in Salt Lake City, Labrum graduated from Utah State University. She later moved to California, where she co-founded and acted as vice president for Centurion Sales Company, Inc.
Labrum is survived by her husband, Ronald; her parents, Kyle and Betty Coles of Salt Lake City; her sons, Benjamin and Phillip; her sister LeAnn Longuevan; and her brother Kory Coles.

Antonio "Tony" Borrego
Services were held at Cusimano Family Mortuary on Feb. 28th for Antonio "Tony" Borrego, who died
on Feb. 22. He was 82.
A 54-year resident of Mountain View, Mr. Borrego was actively involved in scouting for a period spanning three decades and served for several years as the scoutmaster for Troop 25 in Mountain View.
He is survived by his wife, Viola Adela Borrego, and seven children: John Borrego of Watsonville; Rachel Siress of Mountain View; Sally Lively and Barbara Borrego of San Jose; Maj. Eugene Borrego of Columbia, MD; Susan Borrego of Monterey; and Judy Mendieta-Borrego of Santa Clara. Thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive him.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to either Alzheimer's Association or Mid-peninsula Pathways Hospice.

Tom Gerber
A celebration of life was held March 4 at Cubberly Center for Tom Gerber, who died
Dec. 18. He was 62.
Mr. Gerber, who taught for seven years in the local schools and worked as a counselor, is also remembered for his tireless volunteer work on behalf of many local groups. He is survived by his mother, Martha Gerber, and his brother, John Gerber, both of Michigan.

Elbert "Al" Craddick
Elbert "Al" Craddick, a 43-year resident of Mountain View, passed away on April 18. Mr. Craddick and his wife Dorothy moved to Mountain View in 1958. He was a 20-year employee of the Los Altos School District and also managed the Santa Clara American Legion Boys State Program for 30 years. He is survived by his son James Craddick of Santa Clara; his daughters, Marilyn Ruel of Los Gatos and Carol Perkins of Cameron Park; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Angiolina "Angie" Mezzetta
Angionina "Angie" Mazzetta, a longtime Mountain View resident, passed away May 5, after a valiant fight against cancer. She had just celebrated her 76th birthday. Mrs. Mazzetta was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, where she attended Mass daily. She volunteered for the American Red Cross and the Mountain View Senior Center. Mrs. Mazzetta is survived by her children, Tina, George and Loretta; her grandchildren, Erica, Mark, Aaron and Joanna; and a great-granddaughter, Jazmyne.
