Stengele, a longtime Mountain View resident and project engineer for the Southern Pacific Railroad, died
Nov. 6, 2002 at the Veteran Hospice Center in Palo Alto. Lois, his wife, of 56 years, died
in 1995.
He was born
in Plainfield, N.J. on Dec. 8, 1914, and in 1921 moved with his family to Lordsburg, N.M.. He graduated from Lordsburg High School in 1933, the New Mexico Military Institute in 1935, and received his B.S. in mechanical engineering from New Mexico A&M; in 1937. He continued his education at UCLA, Stanford, and Foothill College. And he was honored as the "Older Adult Learner of the Year" by the Mountain View-Los Altos School District in 1999.
Stengele began work for the Southern Pacific Railroad in El Paso, Texas. In 1953 he moved to Mountain View, working for Southern Pacific for 37 years and retiring in 1976 as manager of industrial engineering. He was a designer and project engineer for numerous S.P. projects, including the famous dome cars. Five of these cars still exist including one recently shipped to Panama for use on the Panama Railway.
Stengele was a registered professional mechanical and industrial engineer, and a member of the American Society of Industrial Engineers, the Locomotive Maintenance Officers Association, and life member of the El Paso, Texas Masonic Lodge.
He was known for his creative, inventive mind, his endless stories, and his jokes for all occasions.

Doris Mary Ebere, 91
Ebere was laid to rest on Feb. 10, 2003 in Mountain View. She was a beloved mother of Gary Ebere and his wife Betty of Mountain View and Judy Ludlow and her husband Terry of Livermore. She was also grandmother to Maureen Martin, Cathy Etheridge, Vicki Ebere and Lori Ludlow and sister of Patricia Reyburn and the late Robert Awalt.
Ebere was born
on March 14, 1911 in Santa Cruz and resided in Mountain View for 91 years. She is the daughter of the late Chester F. Awalt.
A librarian at Mountain View High School, Ebere was married
to the late Gilbert (Bud) Ebere. She was an active member of the Miramonte Chapter #141 of Eastern Star for 73 years and a lifetime member of the Mountain View Historical Society. She will be remembered for her bright smile and laughter and her readiness to share a conversation with her many friends and her family.
Friends are invited to attend memorial services at the Masonic Temple at 890 Church St. in Mountain View on Feb. 21 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kaiser Hospice Program, 10080 N. Wolfe Road, SW3-160, Cupertino, CA 95014 or the American Heart Association.

FRANK J. DOMINGO
Funeral services for Frank J. Domingo will begin in procession from Cusimano Family Colonial Mortuary on Friday, March 28, at 10:30 a.m. to a funeral mass at 11 a.m. at St. Simon's Catholic Church in Los Altos. Interment
will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery
in Los Altos. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. March 27, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. at the mortuary, 96 West El Camino Real in Mountain View. Contributions in Mr. Domingo's memory may be made to St. Simon's Catholic Church. A lifelong resident of Mountain View, he died
at home March 23. He was 84. He is survived by his wife, Redencion (Eden) Villarama of Mountain View; children John of the Philippines, James of Australia, and Daniel of Saratoga; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. His first wife Josephine preceded him in death.

Feb. 20. He was a native of Mountain View and a veteran of World War II. He is survived by children Lora, Troy and Roy; sister Ann, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Two sons, Tony, Jr. and Fred Vidovcich; preceded him in death.

PHILIP S. MIRENDA
Funeral services have been held for Philip S. Mirenda, 81, who died
Feb. 24 in Mountain View. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 52 years, Nina Italia Mirenda. He was born
Jan. 6, 1922 in Brooklyn, N.Y. and graduated from Brooklyn College in 1943. He was a 53-year resident of Mountain View and a longtime active supporter of the St. Joseph Catholic Parish and school community, serving often as men's club president and chair of the annual festival. He was an active member of the St. Joseph Social Club, contributing to and often heading the facilities committee. He was a charter member of the St. Francis High School Founders Circle and actively participated in the Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts organizations, Knights of Columbus, Palo Alto Elks Club, St. Joseph Alumni Club, Jessie Lane Boys Club, Mountain View Fun Club, and St. Francis High School Men's Club. His professional affiliations included Associated General Contractors, Construction Employee Advocates, president of the Carpenters Joint Apprenticeship Training Center, and United Brotherhood of Carpenters. He worked in the construction industry and was a vice president and general superintendent for the Carl N. Swenson Co., Inc. for over 35 years, where he supervised the building of numerous landmark buildings throughout Northern California. He served as a sergeant in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
Funeral Services and a funeral mass were held at St. Joseph's Church followed by entombment at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, Santa Clara. Contributions may be made to the Mirenda Scholarship Fund at St. Joseph's Catholic School, 1120 Miramonte Ave., Mountain View, CA 94040. He is survived by his children, Stephanie, Donna, Andrea, and Matthew; sister Concetta Di Fazio, two grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews.

Dolores H. Prince
Dolores Prince, a Mountain View resident from 1914 to 2003 died
April 13.
Prince's family came to Mountain View from Spain in the early 1900s. She grew up working in the area's orchards and lived for years on Washington Street, the heart of a neighborhood then known for its population of Spanish immigrants.
Prince is survived by her husband George, daughter Georgia, three grandchildren, niece Janette, a grandniece and grandnephew. She requested no formal services, but a family gathering will be held in the near future.

Rabuzzi died
May 31 after a long struggle with cancer. Born February 1, 1961, in Philadelphia, Pa., Rabuzzi grew up in Syracuse, N.Y., attended Harvard College as a member of the class of 1981 and obtained his bachelor's degree in applied mathematics/computer science. Rabuzzi lived nearly 20 years in San Francisco and Mountain View working as a software engineer, database architect, and team leader at ASK, Tandem, Compaq, Acta, and Business Objects.
He is survived by his wife Yvonne Wilson and sons Patrick and Terence, his parents Daniel D. and Kathryn A. Rabuzzi of Syracuse, N.Y., brothers Daniel A. of Lexington, Ky. and Douglas of Pittsburgh, Pa., nephews Nicholas, Nathaniel and James of Pittsburgh, Pa. and countless friends around the world.
Rabuzzi's zest for living, fierce independence, and indomitable optimism inspired all who knew him. He was a published lexicographer, a gifted poet, a marathon runner, weightlifter and a cook who delighted in home-brewed beer. A world-traveler, he reached five of the seven continents and enjoyed his adventures on each.
