George Matthew Kohler, 78, a 40-year Palo Alto resident, died
Feb. 17, 1994. A native of Yonkers, N.Y., he was the owner of Kohler Graphic Arts. He was a member of the Society of Industrial Photographers, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Palo Alto Elks Lodge No. 1471 BPOE and Covenant Presbyterian Church. Active for many years with the Stanford Area Boy Scout Council, he received the Silver Beaver award. He also a had a longtime interest in the Hopi Indians and collected their Katchina dolls, which he shared with schoolchildren and exhibited. He is survived by his wife, Janet Kohler of Palo Alto; two sons, including Roger K. Kohler of Palo Alto; five grandchildren; and two sisters. Contributions may be made to the George M. Marcus Lin, 52, a Palo Alto resident, died
at Stanford Hospital on Jan. 19. A native of Hong Kong, he received degrees from the University of Hong Kong, the University of California, San Diego, and Stanford Business school. He worked for IBM for many years before becoming a real estate consultant. He is survived by his wife, Doris Lin; his daughter, Christine; and his son Derek, all of Palo Alto; his father; a sister; three brothers; and an aunt.
David Paul Mouton Jr.
David Paul Mouton Jr., 43, a former resident of East Palo Alto, died
Feb. 2, 1994 in San Francisco of diabetes. Born in San Diego, he attended school in Palo Alto through the "sneak-out" program, in which East Palo Alto students came to live with Palo Alto families to get a better education. He graduated from Nairobi High School in 1969. He is survived by his parents, former East Palo Alto mayor Barbara Mouton and David Mouton Sr. of East Palo Alto; a son; a grandchild; five sisters; a brother; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mary Jane Stickney, 70, died

Robert J. Young, 22, a Palo Alto High School graduate, died
unexpectedly on Feb. 15, 1994 in Arcata, where he was a student at Humboldt State University. He is survived by his parents, Janet and Gordon Young of Palo Alto; his sister Robin Pease, and his brothers David and Jack Young. Beverly Brackett Romanoff Jedine, a resident of Portola Valley and Menlo Park since 1952, died
Feb. 23, 1994 in Menlo Park. A native of San Francisco. A 1947 graduate of University of California, Berkeley, she was past president of Midpeninsula League for San Francisco Symphony and One Up Investment Club, as well as a longtime member of Stanford Golf Course. She is survived by a son; a daughter; two granddaughters; a sister, Muriel Brackett Mickel of Palo Alto; a niece; and two nephews. Kingsford Jones
Kingsford Jones, 84, an architect who designed numerous public buildings in Menlo Park, died
Feb. 22, 1994 at his home in Atherton, where he had lived since 1942. A native of Canada, he received degrees from Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, and McGill University in Montreal. He designed the Menlo Park Civic Center; area churches, including Trinity Episcopal; school buildings in the Menlo Park and Las Lomitas districts; and residences, the most recent in 1992. He continued working until a recent illness. He is survived by his wife, Ardath F. Jones of Atherton; four sons, Kingsford F. Jones of Menlo Park, Douglas F. Jones of Portola Valley, Arden K. Jones of Atherton and Bevan C. Jones of Portola Valley; two sisters; and eight grandchildren. Services will be held Feb. 25 at 2 p.m. at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 330 Ravenswood Ave., Menlo Park. Martha Ashley Newman, 68, a resident of Palo Alto and Portola Valley since 1946, died
Feb. 22, 1994 in Portola Valley. A native of New Orleans, she worked for the Navy during World War II. She sang in the Ladera Community Church Choir in Portola Valley. She is survived by her husband, Myron Newman of Portola Valley; two sons, including Jonathan Newman of Palo Alto; a daughter; and a sister. Forrest A. Page
Forrest A. Page, 90, a longtime resident of East Palo Alto, died
Feb. 20, 1994. A native of Hallsport, N.Y., he was a carpenter and a general contractor. He is survived by a daughter, a son, 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild. Services will be held Feb. 25 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Roller & Hapgood & Tinney, 980 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto.
Sherifa Edoga
Sherifa Edoga, 23, died
on March 12, 1994 at the University of California Medical Center in San Francisco after surgery to correct a heart defect. She was a 1992 graduate of Stanford University who received the Excellence in Theater Award from the Stanford University Committee on Black Performing Arts and was the Black Theater Network Young Scholar, both in 1991. She had worked as a professional actor in such productions as "Indigo Lady" and "The Tenth Muse." She is survived by her mother, her father, and aunt, a sister and a brother. Marion F. Erickson
Marion F. Erickson, 83, formerly of Palo Alto, died
March 31, 1994 in Grants Pass, Oregon. A native of Lake Charles, La., she studied journalism at the University of Colorado and married
Wendell "Leif" Erickson. Because of her husband's employment with the Associated Press, she lived in many cities and countries, including Honolulu, Singapore and Malaysia. She lived in Palo Alto for many years before moving to Grants Pass in 1990 to live with her daughter. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church and volunteered many hours with the Children's Health Council, the Children's Theatre and the Children's Library. She is survived by her daughter, her son, Leif Erickson of Palo Alto, and five grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Association for the Retarded, 525 E.
