Services will be Tuesday for Kari Lynn Nilsen of Santa Cruz, who died Sunday in a car accident near Stockton. She was 15.
Her father Kenneth Nilsen also was killed in the accident.
She was born in Los Gatos, and had lived in Santa Cruz since she was 2. She was a freshman at Harbor High School, where she earned her varsity letter in golf.
She also was a member of the Santa Cruz County Junior Golf Association and Santa Cruz Gals Softball league. She played basketball and volleyball at Branciforte Junior High School.
She enjoyed golf, snowboarding, softball, music, traveling, volleyball, dancing, biking and rollerblading.
She is survived by mother Lynn B. Nilsen of Santa Cruz; sister Krista Ann Nilsen of Santa Cruz; grandparents Inga and Wilhelm Nilsen of San Carlos and Gus and Yolanda Beckstrom of San Jose; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Oakwood Memorial Crystal Chapel, 3301 Paul Sweet Road, Santa Cruz. Services for her father will be conducted at the same time.
Graveside services will follow.
Arrangements are by Oakwood.

Frances B. Anderson
Services will be Tuesday for Frances Byers Anderson, who died Thursday in Watsonville. She was 96.
Mrs. Anderson was born in San Jose.
She received her teaching credential from San Jose Normal School. She taught in Roseville schools for two years before moving to Watsonville in 1927. She taught in Watsonville schools for more than 35 years, working at Mintie White Elementary School for many years.
She was a life member of Native Daughters of the Golden West and the California Teachers Association. She was an active Democratic Party supporter.
Her family and friends will remember her for her devotion to teaching.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by niece Alison Egleston of Modesto; nephew Robert Anderson of Berkeley; and grandnieces Erin and Katie Egleston of Modesto.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Notre Dame Convent Chapel in Watsonville. Burial services will follow at Valley Catholic Cemetery.

Warren Ohe
Services are today for Warren Ohe, who died Sunday in Santa Cruz. He was 34.
He was born in Los Gatos and lived for 21 years in Stanley Curtis Sr. and Carol Curtis’ home for the developmentally delayed.
Mr. Ohe is survived by father and stepmother Charles and Terry Ohe of San Jose, and sisters Brenda Stanberry of Orland and Peggy Ann Moreno of Modesto.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Davis Memorial Chapel in Watsonville. He will be buried in Orland Cemetery.

Maria Guadalupe Martinez
Services are today for Maria Guadalupe Martinez, who died Tuesday in Watsonville. She was 60.
She was born in Mission, Texas, and had lived in Watsonville since 1965. She was a member of Jehovah’s Witness.
Mrs. Martinez is survived by husband Ildefonso of Watsonville; sons Steve Martinez of Salinas, Joe Martinez of Watsonville and Pablo Martinez of Watsonville; daughters Juanita Martinez of Watsonville, Mary Lopez of Watsonville, Gloria Martinez of Watsonville, Rosa Linda Martinez of Morgan Hill, Dora Valdez of Mexicali, and Sylvia Archundia of Watsonville; sister Lucia Aguilar of Texas; mother Hortencia of Texas; 27 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and other family here and in Mexico.
A memorial service is 2 p.m. today at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness at 125 Sil Road in Las Lomas.

Adriana Maria Furtado
Services will be Tuesday for Adriana Maria Furtado who died Wednesday of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. She was 2 months old.
She was born in Watsonville.
She is survived by parents Michael Furtado and Cari Billings Gonzales of Watsonville; brother Blas Marquez Jr. of Watsonville; sisters Vanessa and Alexis Mendoza of Watsonville; and grandparents Carlos Furtado and Pamela Mello of Watsonville, and Richard and Christina Gonzales of Watsonville.
A Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Davis Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Community Lutheran Church in Watsonville.
Davis Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Marcene Williamson
There were no services for Marcene "Marke" Williamson, who died in early January.
She was born in Banning and raised in Arizona. She moved to Tahoe in the mid-’40s and lived there until the ’80s, when she moved to Santa Cruz.
She worked hundreds of hours for the Sierra Club, The California Rim Trail, as well as the Cabrillo College Stroke Center, Long Marine Lab, American Red Cross, Salvation Army’s Meals on Wheels, and many other organizations.
Mrs. Williamson is survived by daughter Tamara Lynne Cady of Truckee; son James Mark Williamson of Tahoe City; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Chapel of Four Seasons is in charge of the arrangements.

Albert Stroh
There will be no services for Albert Stroh, who died Tuesday in Santa Cruz. He was 92.
He was born in Englevalle, N.D., and lived in Santa Cruz County for 43 years. He is survived by son Jerry Stroh of Watsonville; daughters Ruth Ash of Watsonville and Joan Pitts of Decatur Ala.; brother Carl Stroh of N. Hollywood; sister Sarah Bopp of Gwinner, N.D.; eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
His wife of 70 years, Bessie Stroh, died in 1998. His son Harold Stroh, daughter Joyce Pagliei and grandson Bruce Ash died before him.
Contributions are preferred to the charity of donor’s choice.
He was buried in Pajaro Valley Memorial Park.

Bryon Morgan Adams
Services were Feb. 20 for Bryon Morgan Adams, who died Feb. 14 in Atoka, Okla. He was 79.
He was born and raised in Phoenix, Ariz., and moved to Southern California to attend the University of Southern California for dentistry and pharmacy. He lived in Palm Springs Desert and Santa Cruz.
He was a deckhand on the USS McGowan in World War II. He practiced dentistry for 24 years in Santa Cruz. He made jewelry out of dental gold and raised horses next to his dental office in Scotts Valley. He was a member of the Elder Presbyterian Church and the Elks Club. He was a member of the Dayspring Church of Atoka for his final months.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Eileen Price Adams; daughters Diana Webber of Atoka, Okla., Cecily Ingalls of Fort Riley, Kan., Erin Black of Dayton, Ohio and Maria Adams of Capitola; brother Kenneth Adams of Arkansas; 11 grandchildren and five nieces.
His parents I.O. and Ruxie Adams and brother Oliver Adams died before him.
Services were at 2 p.m. Feb. 20 at Dayspring Church in Atoka, Okla. Catherine McPherson presided, and his wife and daughters gave memorial speeches.
Brown’s Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Clara Ostergard
Services will be Sunday for Clara O. Ostergard, who died Tuesday of cancer at Stanford Medical Center. She was 62.
She was raised in Salinas and lived in Santa Cruz since 1955. She was retired from Roma Kool in Watsonville.
She enjoyed travel, golf, music and being with her family. She was a member of the Casserly Women’s Golf Club.
She is survived by daughters Wanda Deel Braschi of Santa Cruz and Ronda A. Deel of Santa Cruz; son Michael C. Deel of Fresno; brother Bill Oliver of Salinas; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Her parents Chester and Mary Alice Oliver and sister Wanda Mayfield died before her.
A celebration of life will be at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Oakwood Memorial Chapel in Santa Cruz.
