Services were held for Virginia L. Ross, who died Wednesday in Watsonville. She was 91.
Mrs. Ross was born in Hancock, Mich. She moved to Watsonville from Mesa seven years ago.
She is survived by sons Robert Ross and George Ross, both of Watsonville, and John Ross of Mesa.
Her husband, John Sixtus Ross, died in 1979.
Burial will be in Hancock, Mich.
Arrangements are by Davis Memorial Chapel.

Jurgen Franz Sloma
Services will be Monday for Jurgen Franz Sloma, who died Wednesday at his Watsonville home. He was 60.
Mr. Sloma was born in Sentken, East Prussia, Germany. He lived in Marysville before moving to Watsonville 37 years ago.
Mr. Sloma worked for Meadow Gold for 14 years, Lipton Co. for 12 years, was manager at Taylor’s Hot Dogs for four years, and Fmali’s (Good Earth Teas) for seven years. He coached little league baseball and youth soccer for four years.
Mr. Sloma was a member of Green Valley Christian Center. He enjoyed bingo, sports, crosswords, reading, wine collecting and being a family man.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jackie Sloma of Watsonville ; sons Franz Sloma of Indiana, and Michael Sloma of Salinas; daughter Michelle Sloma of Watsonville and Healdsburg; sister Ursula Langer of Germany; and nine grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Davis Memorial Chapel, 609 Main St., Watsonville. Burial will follow at Watsonville Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the chapel.

James McGehee
Services will be held Tuesday for James McGehee, who died Friday in Watsonville. He was 81.
Mr. McGehee was born in Texas. He had lived in the Watsonville area for more than 60 years. Before retiring he worked for J.J. Crosetti Co. as a tractor driver.
He is survived by daughters Elizabeth and Betty; brother Woody A. McGehee of DeLeon, Texas; sister Rhoda B. Baker of Fayetteville, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park. The Rev. Ed Kopper will be officiating.
Friends may call from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel, 222 E. Lake Ave., Watsonville.

Margaret J. Wall
No services will be held for Margaret J. Wall, who died Sunday in Santa Cruz. She was 97.
Mrs. Wall was born in Ohio. She had lived in Santa Cruz for 46 years.
Mrs. Wall enjoyed gardening, reading and traveling. Her favorite trip was a cruise through the Caribbean with her daughter Shari and granddaughter Tammi.
She is survived by her 10 children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are by Santa Cruz Memorial Park and Funeral Home.

Pastora Fernandez Pigao
Services will be held Tuesday for Pastora Fernandez Pigao, who died Thursday at her Salinas home. She was 87.
Mrs. Pigao was born in the Philippine Islands. She had lived in Watsonville before moving to Salinas 22 years ago.
Mrs. Pigao was a member of the Filipino Community of Salinas and the Laoaguenians. She enjoyed traveling and gardening, especially roses.
She is survived by sons Fred Pigao of Soledad, and Alexander Pigao of Norway; daughter Perla Pigao of Salinas; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Pajaro Valley Public Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Monday at Davis Memorial Chapel, Watsonville. Contributions are preferred to the American Cancer Society.

The Rev. George Bingham Anderson
Services will be held Sunday for the Rev. George Bingham Anderson, who died Tuesday at Valley Convalescent Hospital. He was 83.
The Rev. Anderson was born in Goldendale, Wash. He had lived in the Santa Cruz County for 40 years.
He was a missionary to Ghana, West Africa from 1949-1952 and from 1959-1962. He was a minister for the Assemblies of God for 50 years.
The Rev. Anderson was associate pastor at Christian Life Center in Santa Cruz and senior citizen pastor at Aptos Christian Fellowship. He enjoyed backpacking and farming.
He is survived by sons Ken Anderson of Scotts Valley, and Stan Anderson of Kailua, Hawaii; daughters Judy Hall of Corralitos, and Ardyth Martin of Watsonville; brother Dan Anderson of Redding; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
His wife, Ruth Ellen Anderson, died in 1986.
A graveside service is at 1 p.m. Sunday at Oakwood Memorial Park, 3301 Paul Sweet Road, Santa Cruz, followed by a memorial service at 2:30 p.m. at Aptos Christian Fellowship, 7200 Freedom Blvd., Aptos.
Arrangements are by Davis Memorial Chapel.

Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Hansen
Private services will be held Wednesday for Elizabeth "Betty" Hansen, who died Wednesday at her Watsonville home.
Mrs. Hansen was born in San Mateo. She had lived in Watsonville for more than 35 years.
Mrs. Hansen was a leading antique dealer, appraiser and estate liquidator. She wrote for several antique publications, including West Coast Peddler, Antiques Today, Tri-State Weekly, Antique Dealer and Antique Gazette. She was also recognized in several other publications, including Who’s Who in the Literary World, Antique Dealer and Teacher, Who’s Who in American Women and Who’s Who in the West.
She is survived by cousins Barbara Tozzi of Vienna, Va., Mark Pieske of Decatur, Ill., and Ed Pieske of Aribaca, Ariz.
Private services will be held Wednesday at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow at Valley Public Cemetery.

Laverne Louise Delbovo
Services will be held Monday for Laverne Louise Delbovo, who died Tuesday at Driftwood Health Care Center in Santa Cruz. She was 71.
Mrs. Delbovo was born and lived in Watsonville all of her life. She owned the Donut Den on East Lake Avenue from 1958 to 1970 and was a seamstress for Ford’s Department Store for more than 15 years.
Mrs. Delbovo was a member of Sons of Italy, serving as chaplain. She enjoyed playing bocci ball and bunko.
She is survived by husband of 55 years, Charles Delbovo of Watsonville; son Rick Delbovo of Carmichael; daughters Rita Collins of Grass Valley, and Pam Flint of Ben Lomond; brother Ronald Lopes of Watsonville; sisters Gerry Vrisimo of Oregon, and Gloria Schedler of Watsonville; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services are at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick’s Church, 721 Main St., Watsonville. Burial will follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Sunday at Davis Memorial Chapel. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. at the chapel.
Contributions are preferred to the Hospice Caring Project of Santa Cruz County or to a charity of choice.

Robert J. Lupini
Services will be Monday for Robert J. Lupini, who died Tuesday in Grand Junction, Colo. He was 76.
Mr. Lupini was born in Iron Mountain, Mich., and moved to Felton in 1968. He worked as a teacher at Boulder Creek Elementary School from his arrival in Felton until 1986. He also worked part time as a bartender at the Brookdale Lodge and Boulder Creek Country Club. He was a World War II Navy veteran.
He was an avid bicycle rider, and rode the Oregon Trail from Independence, Mo., to Oregon City many times. He also competed in the Lewis and Clark ride from St. Louis, Mo., to Sideside, Ore., and rode his bike across the United States several times.
He had been a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Felton, where he taught religion classes.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lucille Lupini of Felton; son John Lupini of Los Banos; and daughter Margaret Schoffner of Magalia.
Vigil services are 7 p.m. Monday at St. John’s Catholic Church, at the corner of Russell Avenue and Highway 9 in Felton. A recitation of the rosary and a Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John’s. Private Burial at Felton Cemetery will take place later.
