Services will be Monday for Victor Ginelli, who died Tuesday at Watsonville Community Hospital. He was 92.
Mr. Ginelli was born in San Francisco. He moved several times throughout Northern California before settling in Watsonville in 1940.
Mr. Ginelli graduated from Red Bluff High School and reached the rank of Eagle Scout and junior assistant scout master in the Boy Scouts.
His father was a baker in Italy and San Francisco, and Mr. Ginelli opened Mity Nice Bakery on First and Main streets in downtown Watsonville, where the post office now stands, and operated it successfully for many years. He retired in 1974.
Mr. Ginelli was an avid motorcycle rider and collector of Indian motorcycles until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Ginelli of Watsonville; daughters Vicki Ginelli, Debbi Gamel and Barbara Ginelli, all of Watsonville; a brother, Frank Ginelli of Placerville; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
His grandson, Brian Rodriguez, died before him.
Friends may call from 1-5 p.m. Sunday at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel, 222 E. Lake Ave., Watsonville.
A chapel blessing will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at Mehl’s.
Burial will follow at Pioneer Cemetery.

Jesus A. Macias
Services will be Monday and Tuesday for Jesus A. Macias, who died Wednesday in San Jose. He was 79.
Mr. Macias was born in Jocatpec, Jalisco, Mexico. He lived in Watsonville from 1953 until moving to San Jose recently.
Mr. Macias was a self-employed strawberry grower for many years, retiring in 1982. He previously worked as a cook in Yuma, Ariz., Oxnard and Watsonville.
Mr. Macias is survived by sons Ildefonso, Javier and Sergio Macias, all of Watsonville; daughters Dionisia Molina, Guadalupe Marquez and Luz Astorga, all of Watsonville, and Maria Paz of Corcoran; brothers Jose and Refugio Macias, both of Watsonville, and Juan Macias of Mexico; sisters Justina Coronado of Watsonville and Petra Macias of Mexico; 28 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
His wife, Simona, a son-in-law and a granddaughter died before him.
Friends may call from 2-9 p.m. Monday at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel, 222 E. Lake Ave., Watsonville.
A vigil service will be 7 p.m. Monday at Mehl’s.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick’s Church.

Lucia G. Isidro
Services will be Wednesday for Lucia G. Isidro, who died Aug. 14 at a Watsonville convalescent hospital. She was 80.
Mrs. Isidro was born in Yuba City and lived in Watsonville since 1938.
She is survived by sons Joe and David Isidro, both of Watsonville; daughters Nancy Isidro of Santa Cruz and Frances Hill of Watsonville; a sister, Connie Istures of Stockton; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Her sons Felix Isidro Jr. and Robert Isidro died before her.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Valley Catholic Cemetery.
Cremation arrangements are by Mehl’s Colonial Chapel.

Wilhelm Larson
Services will be Saturday for Wilhelm Larson, who died Aug. 7 in Concord. He was 94.
Mr. Larson was born in Hunnebostrand, Sweden, one of 11 children. He had lived in Aptos in the early 1980s, and in home he built with his two sons in Tehachapi, before moving to Concord’s Santa Lucia Home last year.
Mr. Larson worked on the family farm and helped with the fishing boats that traversed the North Sea and was an integral support of his family from age 7. At age 12, he worked with his father in Hunnebostrand rock quarries, the beginning of 70 years working with stone and a career as a stonemason.
Mr. Larson immigrated to the United States in 1926, at age 19, arriving in New York knowing only two words in English: ham and eggs. But he learned the language with typical Swedish determination, family members say.
Mr. Larson marriage Katrina "Corrine" Belinda Nykkanen in Detroit.
He became renowned throughout Southern California for his creative and artistic stone work and many of his projects were regularly featured in Sunset and Home magazines in the Los Angeles area, family members say.
He is survived by sons Dennis Larson of Los Osos and Don Larson of Aptos; a daughter, Karin Shields of Concord; sisters Eva Norberg and Gullan Hedgvist, both of Sweden; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many relatives in Sweden.
His wife of 45 years, Katrina, died before him.
Services will be 11 a.m. Aug. 24 at Los Osos Memorial Park.
Contributions are preferred to a local hospice organization.

Donald Kassler
Services will be held Aug. 25 for Donald Kassler, who died June 19 in Santa Cruz. He was 61.
Mr. Kassler was born in San Jose. He graduated from Los Gatos High School in 1958 and from San Jose State University in 1962. He attended Hastings Law School in San Francisco.
He owned an operated an advertising and marketing business in Santa Cruz, and worked in the restaurant business in San Luis Obispo. Mr. Kassler was also marketing director for the Janus programs in Santa Cruz County.
He enjoyed writing, raquetball and traveling. He was a member of Temple Beth El, in Aptos.
He is survived by son Jason Kassler of Walnut Creek; daughter Amy Fehn of Rohnert Park; mother Sibyl Resetar of Aptos; brothers Dale Kassler of Scotts Valley, Dave Kassler of Aptos and Keith Kelly of Mexico; sister Diane Hamby of Hawaii; and two grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held Aug. 25 at Harvey West Park. Call Amy at (707) 792-2277 for information.

William O. Lefler
No services are planned for William O. Lefler, who died July 23 at the Pleasant Care nursing facility in Santa Cruz. He was 75.
Mr. Lefler was born in Missoula, Mont., and raised in San Bernardino. He lived in Colton before moving to Boulder Creek in 1970.
Mr. Lefler served in the Army Air Force at the close of World War II.
He worked for the Department of the Air Force and the Department of the Navy for many years, and was a civilian Navy employee at Lockheed in Boulder Creek from 1970 until his 1991 retirement.
Mr. Lefler enjoyed golfing, fishing and camping.
He is survived by wife Doris J. Lefler of Boulder Creek; daughter Susan Lefler of Boulder Creek; son Terry Lefler of Layton, Utah; stepson Curtis VanMill of Scotts Valley; and three grandchildren.

Clifford R. Zinter
No services are planned for Clifford Raymond Zinter, who died June 20 at his Coalinga home. He was 83.
Mr. Zinter was born and raised in North Dakota and lived in Santa Cruz County for about 20 years before retiring to a ranch in Los Gatos Creek Canyon near Coalinga in 1980.
He graduated as valedictorian of Monango High School in North Dakota and hopped a California-bound freight train in the 1930s to work as a cannery foreman in Moss Landing. Mr. Zinter then served two years in the Army’s Pacific campaign before moving to Colorado in 1947.
He and his family returned to California in 1956 and he was an ironworker before founding Santa Cruz Re-Bar Inc. in 1965.
Mr. Zinter enjoyed hunting, fishing and ranching. He was a member of Ironworkers No. 377, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by son Allyn Zinter of Watsonville; daughter Sandra Blinkenberg of Aptos; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
His wife of 60 years, Mary Louise Mock Zinter, died in November, and a grandson, Robert Allyn Zinter, died in 1992.
