June Maag Fidroeff
LAKEHEAD - June Maag Fidroeff, 78, of Lakehead died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000, at Beverly Healthcare in Redding.

Private family services will be conducted.

Born Sept. 26, 1921, in East Los Angeles, she moved to Shasta County in 1954 from Rosemead

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include sons Wilford Fidroeff II of Illinois and Charles of Brookings, Ore.; brothers Wesley Maag of Shasta Lake and Gene Maag of Los Angeles; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding.

Marilyn Carpenter
WEED - Marilyn Lorraine Carpenter, 75, of Weed died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, at Mercy Medical Center in Mount Shasta.

Private services will be conducted.

Born Jan. 21, 1925, in Los Angeles, she moved to Siskiyou County in 1980 from Long Beach.

She was an office manager for Coast Roofing Co.

She is survived by daughter Jamie of Henderson, Nev.

Arrangements are being handled by Mount Shasta Memorial Chapel.

Lois Phelan
REDDING - Lois Phelan, 75, of Redding died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, at Redding Medical Center.

No services will be conducted.

Born Jan. 6, 1925, in Connecticut, she moved to Shasta County in 1953.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include daughter Alexandra of Redding and sister Enid Keller of Lodi.

Arrangements are being handled by Anderson's Chapel in Anderson.

Harland Marks
BURNEY - Graveside services for Harland Marks, 89, of Burney will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Burney District Cemetery.

The Burney Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5689 will officiate.

Mr. Marks died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2000, at Mayers Memorial Hospital Annex in Burney.

Born Sept. 13, 1910, in Sparta, Wis., he moved to Shasta County in 1936 from Los Angeles.

He was a boiler room technician for Publishers Lumber Co. in Burney for 40 years, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Burney VFW Post 5689.

Survivors include sons Norman of Fall River Mills, Dennis and Jim, both of Burney, and John of Portland, Ore.; sister Mary Valentine of Burney; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post 5689, 37410 Main St., Burney, CA 96013.

Arrangements are being handled by McDonald's Burney Chapel.

Esther Robison
WEED - Graveside services for Esther Robison, 82, of Weed will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, at Mount Shasta Memorial Park in Mount Shasta.

The Rev. Aidan O'Reilly of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Mount Shasta will officiate.

Mrs. Robison died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000, at SunBridge Care Center for Weed.

Born Oct. 7, 1917, in Kennett, she lived in Siskiyou County for 40 years.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include stepson Dale of Ridgecrest; sister Rita Nisle of Ashland, Ore.; and three stepgrandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Mount Shasta Memorial Chapel in Mount Shasta.

Lena Morgan
ANDERSON - Lena M. Morgan, 91, of Anderson died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, at Redding Medical Center.

No services will be conducted.

Born Sept. 21, 1908, in Condon, Ore., she moved to Shasta County in 1946 from Klamath Falls, Ore.

She was a homemaker, a member of the North Valley Art League of Redding and a former member of the Redding Moose Lodge 1006.

Survivors include sisters Helen Hubbard of Grass Valley, Ore., and Ruth Bradeen of Ontario, Ore.; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; and one great-great-grandchild.

Arrangements are being handled by McDonald's Redding Chapel.

Michael Sanchez
ANDERSON - Services for Michael Ramon Sanchez, 21, of Anderson will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 19956 Alexander Ave. in Anderson.

Elders Sandra Fleming, Phillip Harper and Stan Tarling, all of the church, will officiate.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Anderson.

Mr. Sanchez died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at Mercy Medical Center in Redding.

Born Nov. 7, 1978, in Redding, he was a lifelong resident of Shasta County.

He was a seasonal firefighter with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection for three years.

Survivors include son Tyler of Anderson; brothers David, Joshua, Errik, Alexander and Zachary, all of Anderson; sisters Krystal and Meghan, both of Anderson; mother Myrna of Anderson; and grandmother Renate Manz of Redding.

Memorial contributions may be made in care of Myrna Sanchez, 3147 Stingy Lane, Anderson, CA 96007.

Arrangements are being handled by Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding.
