WEED - Elmer D. Zimmerman, 90, of Weed died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2000, in Mount Shasta.
Private services will be conducted.
Born Aug. 8, 1910, in Iowa City, Iowa, he moved to Weed in 1957.
He was a retired logging superintendent, a 30-year member of the California Forest Practice Rules Committee, a past president of the Sierra Cascade Logging Conference, a curator at the Weed Museum since 1985, the Weed Citizen of the Year in 1987, and a member of Ben Ali Shrine and Siskiyou White Pine Masonic Lodge 310.
Survivors include wife Gladys; and brothers Roy of Yuba City, Jim of San Francisco and Carl of Topeka, Kan.

Marvin Pogue
PORTLAND, Ore. - Former Shasta County resident Marvin L. Pogue, 73, of Portland, Ore., died Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, in Portland.
Services for family and friends will be conducted in Red Bluff in March.
Born Jan. 8, 1927, in Holcomb, Mo., he lived in the Shasta County area for about 30 years.
He worked in the timber industry, where he was last employed by Publishers Forest Products in Burney, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include wife Donna; son Michael Steele of Portland; daughters Nancy Shilts, Pamela Owens, and Janice Evans, all of Red Bluff; brothers Hayden and Bill, both of Fredericktown, Mo.; sisters Bonnie Tesreau of Fredericktown and Glenda Lowell Stroup of Tuolumne; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

REDDING - Graveside services for Jimmy Lee Foley, 68, of Redding will be at 1 p.m. today at Redding Cemetery.
The Rev. Bill Hendrix will officiate.
Mr. Foley died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000, at his residence.
Born March 13, 1931, in Manitou, Okla., he moved to Shasta County in 1959 from Hawthorne.
He was a radio technician for the U.S. Forest Service for 30 years and a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include son Darrel of Redding; daughters Rhonda Bumbaugh of Redding and Roxie Enloe of Splendora, Texas; brother Bill of Corning; mother Maude of Indiahoma, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Dwight Lowe
ANDERSON - Memorial services for Dwight H. Lowe, 84, of Anderson will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Anderson.
Burial will be at Anderson District Cemetery.
Mr. Lowe died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at Shasta Healthcare in Redding.
Born Jan. 21, 1916, in Steele City, Neb., he moved to Shasta County in 1959 from Isleton.
He was a manager with Bank of America for more than 43 years, a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, a past president of the Anderson Rotary and the Shasta District Fair Board and a member of the Anderson Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include wife Marian; daughters Marguerite Weinstein of Berkeley and Carolyn Bruck of Piedmont; and two grandchildren.

REDDING - Services for Carrie C. Sebourn, 89, of Redding will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Memory Gardens in Brea.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Monday at McDonald's Redding Chapel.
Burial will be at Memory Gardens Memorial Park in Brea.
Mrs. Sebourn died Feb. 5, 2000, at Guardian Rehabilitation Hospital in Redding.
Born Aug. 29, 1910, in Crawford County, Ark.; she moved to Shasta County in 1979 from Brea.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Brea.
Survivors include sons Don of Stotts City, Mo., Marvin of Redding, Tom of Trinidad, and Ronald of Columbus, Neb.; daughter Doris Simmons of Carefree, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

REDDING - Lester Nelson Arnold, 62, of Redding died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000, at Mercy Medical Center in Redding.
No services will be conducted.

Born Nov. 13, 1927, in New York, he moved to Shasta County in 1972 from Simi Valley.
He was a plumber for Swensons Plumbing and a past member of Redding Moose Lodge.
Survivors include wife Lenora; sons Lester Jr. of Elgin, Ore., and James Roache of McConnelsville, N.Y.; daughters Chris Shepard, Trudy Ferreira, and Nadine Soukey, all of Redding, and Linda Kirby of Grover City; brothers Jack of Inglewood, and Joseph and Eddie, both of Oneida, N.Y.; sisters Catherine White of Modesto and Peggy West of Lancaster; 26 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren.

in Glendora.
Mr. Millsap died after a long illness Friday, Feb. 4, 2000, at Redding Medical Center.
Born Nov. 15, 1942, in Torrance, he moved to Shasta County in 1989 from Ontario.
He was a salesman for Montgomery Ward in Redding and a former Little League Coach in Shasta Lake.
Survivors include daughters Robin Viratos of Sonoma and Jennifer of Sacramento; brother Robert Brown of Cottonwood, mother Mildred of Redding; and five grandchildren.
