REDDING - Graveside services for Lorene Mary Foley, 64, of Redding will be at 2 p.m. today at Redding Cemetery.
The Rev. Bill Hendrix will officiate.
Mrs. Foley died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999, at Mercy Medical Center in Redding.
Born May 2, 1935, in Ellsworth County, Kan., she moved to Shasta County in 1959 from Hawthorne.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include husband Jim; son Darrel of Manhattan, Mont.; daughters Rhonda Bumbaugh of Redding and Roxie Enloe of Splendora, Texas; sisters Shirl German and Karen German, both of Pascagoula, Miss.; mother Mary Thayer of Pascagoula; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by McDonald's Redding Chapel.
Berness Medford
VALLEJO - Services for former Anderson resident Berness Louise Medford, 85, of Vallejo will be at 11 a.m. today at Anderson's Funeral Chapel in Anderson.
The Rev. T.W. Hendrix will officiate.
Burial will be at Whitmore Cemetery
in Whitmore.
Mrs. Medford died Monday, Sept. 27, 1999, at her daughter's residence.
Born April 26, 1914, in Red Bluff, she later moved to Anderson and finally to Solano County in 1994.
She was an office manager for Family Service Agency, a member of Redding Christian Church and the Native Daughters of the Golden West.
Survivors include daughters Marsha of Vallejo and Cheryl von Tress of Santa Rosa; brother Homer Whitten of Red Bluff; sisters Annabelle Wright and Susan Adele York, both of Chico, and Nancy Wilson of Red Bluff; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

DANA - Lewis Charles Ballew, 63, of Dana died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999, at his residence.
No services will be conducted.
Burial will be at Dana Cemetery.
Born April 27, 1936, in Atlanta, he moved to Shasta County in 1991 from Houston.
He was an aerospace engineer for Lockheed Missile & Space Division in Sunnyvale and Houston, and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include wife Alice; son Charles of McArthur; daughter Sheila of Fremont; sister Marian Souther of Blairsville, Ga.; and two grandchildren.

Born May 24, 1905, in Longview, Texas, she moved to Shasta County in 1992 from New Mexico.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by brother Kerry Wyche of Redding.

Mrs. Gutierrez died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at Redding Medical Center.
Born Oct. 12, 1919, in Columbus, N.M., she moved to Shasta County in 1930 from her birthplace.
She was a homemaker and later worked for Crestwood Convalescent Hospital in Redding.
Survivors include son Frank; daughter Gloria Espejo of Roseville; brothers Augie, Tony, and Ralph Martinez, all of Redding; 21 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was a postmaster with the U.S. Postal Service in Shingletown and a member of the National League of Postmasters.
Survivors include sons Joseph of Shasta Lake and Jack of Redding; and five grandchildren.
