REDDING - James Burnett Day, 79, of Redding died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000, at his residence.
No services will be conducted. Burial will be at Redding Memorial Park.
Born Oct. 12, 1920, in McArthur, he was a lifelong resident of Shasta County.
He was a heavy equipment operator for O'Hare Construction in Redding, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, a recipient of the Purple Heart, a member of Operating Engineers Local No. 3 in Redding and the Redding Moose Lodge 1006.
Survivors include wife Margaret; son James of Montana; stepsons Thomas Justi of Shasta and Tony Justi of Anderson; stepdaughter Margaret Phay of Redding; brothers Eldon ''Tuffy'' of Redding and Lawrence ''Bean'' of Pocatello, Idaho; sisters Ivadell Carpenter of Cottonwood, Florence Park of Anderson, Trilma McKenney of Redding and Wilba Owen of Anderson; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice, 1544 Market St., Redding, CA 96001, or the American Cancer Society, 3290 Bechelli Lane, Redding, CA 96002.
Arrangements are being handled by McDonald's Redding Chapel.
Peggy Wilson
ANDERSON - Services for Peggy J. Wilson, 56, of Anderson will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Anderson's Chapel in Anderson.
The Rev. John Krake will officiate.
Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel.
Burial will be at Redding Cemetery.
Mrs. Wilson died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000, at Redding Medical Center following a short illness.
Born May 25, 1943, in Artesia, she moved to Shasta County in 1975 from Oklahoma.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include sons John Roehm of Anderson, Kevin Wilson of Redding and Michael Carpenter of Missouri; mother Betty Dodson of Anderson; and four grandchildren.

Patsy Andreasen
DUNSMUIR - Services for Patsy Joan Andreasen, 65, of Dunsmuir will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Shasta Memorial Chapel in Mount Shasta.
Visitation will be from noon to 4 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.
Burial will be at Mount Shasta Memorial Park in Mount Shasta.
Mrs. Andreasen died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, at Mercy Medical Center in Redding.
Born July 19, 1934, in San Diego, she moved to Siskiyou County in 1948 from her birthplace.
She was a secretary for Stewart Mineral Springs Resort in Weed.
Survivors include husband Andy; son Bobby Simon of Quincy; daughter Mary Hildebrand of Mount Shasta; brother Richard VanLuven of Dunsmuir; sisters Mary Ramshaw of Mount Shasta and Cece Chinca of Dunsmuir; and two grandchildren.

Robert Read
REDDING - Services for Robert Vaux Read, 87, of Redding will be at 2 p.m. today at Grace Community Church in Burney.
The Rev. Henry Winkleman of the church will officiate.
Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery
in McArthur.
Mr. Read died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at Canyonwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Redding.
Born Oct. 12, 1912, in Georgetown, S.C., he moved to Shasta County in 1965 from Alamo.
He was employed at the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory for 20 years by the University of California. He was an owner and operator of a cattle ranch in the Fall River Mills area for 35 years, a member of Grace Community Bible Church in Burney, Shasta County Cattlemen's Association and California Cattlemen's Association.
Survivors include wife Sunny; son Robert of Haslet, Texas; daughter Lyn of Fall River Mills; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by McDonald's Redding Chapel.
Elizabeth Belknap
REDDING - Elizabeth Allen Belknap, 103, of Redding died Friday, 25, 2000, at Atria Assisted Living Center in Redding.
No services will be conducted.
Born Aug. 17, 1896, in Andover, Mass., she moved to Shasta County in 1995 from the San Francisco Bay area.
She was a physical education teacher with the Chapin School of New York.
Survivors include son Daniel of Redding; daughter Martha Metcalf Belknap of Cardiff; 26 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Neptune Society of Chico.
Irene Coker
REDDING - Services for Irene Lorraine Coker, 76, of Redding will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Anderson.
The Rev. Peter Gault will officiate.
Burial will be at Anderson District Cemetery.
Mrs. Coker died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at her residence.
Born March 20, 1923, in Denver, Colo., she moved to Shasta County in 1971 from Los Angeles.
She was a co-owner of Natural Choice Furniture in Redding.
Survivors include husband Charles; son David Gruber of Palm Desert; and daughter Vickie Gruber of Gilroy.

Myrna Barnett
REDDING - Myrna Loy Barnett, 62, of Redding died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at her residence.
Private family services will be conducted.
Born April 10, 1937, in Hornersville, Mo., she moved to Shasta County in 1945 from her birthplace.
She was a public school teacher for 36 years. She taught for the Redding School District and at Manzanita School in Redding for the past 27 years and was a member of the Shasta County Teacher's Association.
Survivors include husband Jerry; daughter Laurina Wheeler of Redding; mother Myrtle Ray of Redding; and two grandchildren.
