WEAVERVILLE - A memorial service for Michael S. Mattmiller, 18, of Weaverville will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the Trinity High School gymnasium in Weaverville.
Herk Shriner will officiate.
Mr. Mattmiller died Monday, Jan. 22, 2001, near French Gulch following an automobile accident.
Born July 7, 1982, in Modesto, he moved to Trinity County in 1998 from Modesto.
He was a 2000 graduate of Trinity High School and a student at Shasta College.
Survivors include sister Monica of Modesto; mother Sharrilee of Weaverville; and grandmothers Avis Ruth Cerveny of Tulare and May Belle Mattmiller of Idaho.
Arrangements are being handled by McDonald's Chapel in Weaverville.
Blanche Lewis
ANDERSON - Blanche Mae Lewis, 96, of Anderson died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, at Shasta Healthcare in Redding.
No services will be conducted.
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in El Cerrito.
Born May 14, 1904, in Oakland, she moved to Shasta County in 1988 from Lafayette.
She was a caterer.
Survivors include daughters Lorraine Cranfill of Redding and Mildred Chapdelain of Corona de Tucson, Ariz.; and sister Vera Smith of Anderson.
Arrangements are being handled by Lawncrest Chapel in Redding.
Pauline Burris
REDDING - Services for Pauline Frances Burris, 82, of Redding will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Palo Cedro Ward.
Bishop Wade East of the church will officiate.
Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery
in San Jose.
Mrs. Burris died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, at Redding Medical Center.
Born July 5, 1918, in Webb City, Mo., she moved to Shasta County in 1979 from San Jose.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Palo Cedro.
Survivors include daughters Barbara of Redding, Dixie Jaggars of Bella Vista, Judith Lawless of Sacramento, and Jane Ulate of Sunnyvale; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Palo Cedro.
Charles Dean
REDDING - Charles Ray Dean, 67, of Redding died Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, at his residence.
No services will be conducted.
Born April 29, 1933, in Los Angeles, he moved to Shasta County in 1983 from Long Beach. He was a general contractor, a member of International City Lodge No. 389 F&AM; in Long Beach, the Ben Ali Shrine, El Bekal Shrine, the Scottish Rite and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include wife Rita; son Charles of Los Angeles; daughter Winnie of Oxnard and Michelle Licari of Port Orchard, Wash.; brothers James of Branson, Mo., and Richard of Topeka, Kan.; and five grandchildren.

John Royston
COTTONWOOD - Graveside services for John L. Royston, 81, of Cottonwood will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Cottonwood Cemetery.
The Rev. Leo Jordan of Hope Southern Baptist Church in Redding will officiate.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at Anderson's Chapel in Anderson.
Mr. Royston died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2001, at Shasta Healthcare in Redding.
Born Aug. 1, 1918, in Chitwood, Mo., he moved to Shasta County in 1968, from Whittier. He worked in the lumber industry with Diamond International in Red Bluff, was a member of Southern Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include wife Margaret; daughter Rebecca Hiller of Anderson; sister Dorothy Day of California; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Robert Peralta
ANDERSON - A memorial service for Robert H. Peralta, 82, of Anderson will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Anderson's Chapel in Anderson.
The Revs. Dick McBride and Bob Pierce, both of North Valley Baptist Church in Redding, will officiate.
Burial will be at Willamette National Cemetery
in Portland, Ore.
Mr. Peralta died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001, at Redding Medical Center.
Born Jan. 2, 1919, in Los Angeles, he moved to Shasta County in 1980 from Fremont. He worked in the cardboard container manufacturing field, was a member of North Valley Baptist Church and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include wife Ellen; son Robert Mathews of Manteca; daughter Donna Salazar of Sacramento; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Anderson's Chapel in Anderson.
Frances Luby
REDDING - Frances Ellen Luby, 84, of Redding died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2001, at Oakdale Heights in Redding.
No services will be conducted.
Burial will be at Shasta Masonic Cemetery.
Born Nov. 6, 1916, in Manteca, she moved to Shasta County in 1976 from Port Washington, N.Y.
She was a county schools licensing investigator, a member of the American Association of University Women, Shasta County Historical Society and the Northern C's Alumni Association of University of California at Berkeley.
Survivors include daughters Barbara Woodrum of Redding and Katherine Phelps of Nashotah, Wis.; and six grandchildren.
