Burial will be at Atkins Cemetery
in Sallisaw, Okla.
Born Aug. 26, 1926, in Van Buren, Ark., she moved to Shasta County in 1985 from Sacramento.
She was a secretary with Sears in Sacramento.
Survivors include brother Lee Hopkins of Russellville, Ark.; and sisters Margaret Lesley of Sallisaw, Okla., and Leeta Jo Huggins of Norman, Okla.
Arrangements are being handled by Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Palo Cedro.
Alys Lowe
PALO CEDRO - Alys "Evelyn" Lowe, 94, of Palo Cedro died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001, at her residence.
Private family services will be conducted.
Born Jan. 28, 1906, in Iowa, she moved to Shasta County in 1994 from Dana Point.
She was a teacher and counselor at Pasadena City College, a member of the Peace Corps in Malaysia, educator in Lauback Literacy Program and in Pasadena Mental Health Program, and a hospice associate worker in Pasadena.
Survivors include sons Carr of Palo Cedro and Leland of Chico; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Palo Cedro.
Richard Grimsman
ANDERSON - Graveside services for Richard A. Grimsman, 61, of Anderson will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cottonwood District Cemetery.
James Seale, a family member, will officiate.
Mr. Grimsman died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center in Redding.
Born May 5, 1939, in Lancaster, he moved to Shasta County in 1948 from his birthplace.
He was an owner/operator of a cattle ranch and a logging truck driver.
Survivors include wife Carol; son Wade of Paskenta; daughters Chellie Hubert of Trinity, N.C., Kim Perry of Cottonwood, and Amber Morfin of Redding; brothers John of Delano and Don of Anderson; sisters Elaine Scott of Fullerton and Lillian Drake of Merced; and two grandchildren.

Harold Linch
WEAVERVILLE - Harold G. Linch, 75, of Weaverville died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2001, at Trinity Hospital in Weaverville.
No services will be conducted.
Born June 23, 1925, in Macks Creek, Mo., he moved to Trinity County in 1981 from Antioch. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a manager for Crown-Zellerbach in Antioch.
Survivors include son Harold Linch, Jr., of Bethel Island; and daughters Anna Garner of Bethel Island, Carol of Antioch, and Becky of Auburn.
Arrangements are being handled by McDonald-Files Funeral Home & Crematory in Weaverville.
Jason Terrick
ANDERSON - A memorial service for Jason Robert Terrick, 18, of Anderson will be at noon Thursday at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Anderson.
The Rev. Fred Haley of the church will officiate.
Mr. Terrick died Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, of gunshot wounds at Mercy Medical Center in Redding following.
Born Feb. 15, 1982, in Tarzana, he moved to Shasta County in 1983 from Los Angeles.
Survivors include brother Chris of Anderson; mother Pamela of Reseda; and grandmother Barbara Schwab of Anderson.

Arthur Nelson
REDDING - Memorial services for Arthur Richard Nelson, 89, of Redding will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Baptist Church in Redding.
The Rev. Al Franklin of the church will officiate.
Burial will be at Redding Cemetery.
Mr. Nelson died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at Shasta Healthcare in Redding.
Born Oct. 2, 1911, in El Monte, he moved to Shasta County in 1948 from Modesto.
He was a retired auto shop teacher for Shasta High School in Redding, a member of Grace Baptist Church, a former member of Bible Baptist Church in Redding, a member of the Toastmasters Club of Redding, and a member of the Early Day Gas Engine and Tractor Association.
Survivors include wife Mildred; son Arnold of Redding; daughters Sharon Lewis of Salem, Ore., and Linda Prewitt and Grace Wallace, both of Redding; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

REDDING - Services for Helen Marie Helgesson, 63, of Redding will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at The First Church of the Nazarene in Redding.

Mrs. Helgesson died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at Redding Medical Center.
Born July 14, 1937, in Sodom, N.Y., she moved to Shasta County in 1972 from Yreka.
She was a head cook and member of the Redding Moose Lodge 1006.
Survivors include son Chrys Davis of Redding; daughters Cristy Lutkemeier of Redding and Ronda Varicelli of Chico; sisters Josephine Lough of Hollywood, Fla., Ronda Watson of Redding, and Janet Dumond of Ferndale, Wash.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
