SALT LAKE CITY - Services for former Red Bluff resident Hal Farnsworth Hardy, 77, of Salt Lake City will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Red Bluff.
Members of the church will officiate.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the services begin Saturday.
Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery
in Red Bluff.
Mr. Hardy died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at Garden Terrace Alzheimer's Facility in Salt Lake City.
Born May 11, 1923, in Delta, Utah, he moved to Tehama County in 1977 from Pittsburgh. He was a postal inspector in charge of the U.S. Postal Service in Pittsburgh and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include daughter Judy Huskey of Redding; sister Delphia Wight of Salt Lake City; brothers Howard of Taylorsville, Utah, and Ray of San Gabriel; seven grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Norma Wacker
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Services for former Anderson resident Norma Jean Wacker, 76, of Sheridan, Wyo., will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Zion Lutheran Church in Roundup, Mont.
The Rev. Patricia Robles-Harant of the church will officiate.
Burial will be at Roundup City Cemetery.
Mrs. Wacker died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, at Westview Health Care Center for Sheridan.
Born April 10, 1924, in Carroll County, Ind., she moved to Sheridan from Anderson in 1985.
She was a dining room receptionist at the Sheridan Senior Citizens Center.
Survivors include mother Eva Lennon of Roundup; sons Greg of Sheridan, Rick of Anderson, Doug of Redding and Roger of Shingletown; daughters Barbara Streetman of Anderson and Lynn of Sheridan; brother Joe Lennon of Powell, Wyo.; sister Helen Devine of Livingston, Mont.; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Maxine Merrifield
ANDERSON - A memorial potluck for Maxine Beryl Merrifield, 75, of Anderson will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Happy Valley Community Hall.
Mrs. Merrifield died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at her residence.
Born Aug. 17, 1925, in Redding, she moved to Eagle Creek but returned to the Redding area in 1935.
She was a secretary-business agent for the Musicians Local Union No. 113.
Survivors include husband Treve; son Gari of Redding; daughter Gayle Merrifield-Wear of Craig, Alaska; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Helen Heltzel
REDDING - Memorial services for Helen Harriett Heltzel, 81, of Redding will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Little Country Church in Redding.
Burial will be at Williams Cemetery
in Williams.
Mrs. Heltzel died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2001, at Valley West Convalescent Hospital in Williams.
She was born Jan. 24, 1919, in Missouri.
She was a homemaker, a former member of the Eastern Star in Aztec, N.M., and a member of North Valley Baptist Church in Redding.
Survivors include daughter Peggy Brower of Redding; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

McCLOUD - A Mass of Christian burial for Jean Morzenti, 74, of McCloud will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in McCloud.

Burial will be at Mount Shasta Memorial Park in Mount Shasta.
Mrs. Morzenti died Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, at her residence.
Born Dec. 11, 1926, in Little Falls, Minn., she moved to Siskiyou County in 1950 from Rockford, Ill.
She was a member of Mercy Mount Shasta Auxiliary, Heritage Junction Museum and the McCloud Recreation Council.
Survivors include husband Olympio; son Carl of Dunsmuir; daughter Sheri Burris of McCloud; and four grandchildren.

Mr. Larson died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2001, at Beverly Healthcare in Redding.
Born Nov. 10, 1918, in Ironwood, Mich., he moved to Shasta County in 1977 from Long Beach. He was a credit manager for Crocker Bank in the Los Angeles area, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of St. James Lutheran Church, the Sons of Norway and past president of the Los Angeles Bank Credit Managers Association.
Survivors include wife Esther; sons Kurt of Redding and Bruce of Niland; and sister June Bro of Lexington, Mass.

Effie Berry
REDDING - Graveside services for Effie Lee Berry, 94, of Redding will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock, Texas.

Mrs. Berry died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001, at Applewood Inn care center in Redding.
Born Jan. 2, 1907, in Merkel, Texas, she moved to Shasta County in 1997 from Lubbock.
She was an owner/operator of Bill's Upholstery in Plainview, Texas, a member of Palo Cedro Church of Christ and a past member of Greenlawn Church of Christ in Lubbock.
Survivors include brother James Derington of Chico; sisters Helen Cole of Memphis, Tenn., and Mary Lou Powell of Redding; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
