DOUGLAS CITY - Graveside services for Janice M. Taylor, 57, of Douglas City will be at 11 a.m. today at Weaverville Cemetery.
The Rev. Ken Downey of Weaverville Church of the Nazarene will officiate.
Mrs. Taylor died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 1999, at Trinity Hospital in Weaverville after a long illness.
Born March 18, 1942, in Globe, Ariz., she moved to Trinity County in 1983.
She was a meat wrapper for Piggly Wiggly.
Survivors include sons Steven Stanley of Lawndale and Robert Baker of Douglas City; and two grandchildren.

James Pickins
PEANUT - James L. Pickins, 95, of Peanut died Thursday, Sept. 23, 1999, at his residence.
No services will be conducted.
Born Feb. 28, 1904, in Mariposa, he moved to Trinity County in 1969 from Sacramento.
He was a hod carrier for a brick-laying business in Sacramento.
Survivors include wife Candies; sons James, Daniel, Robert, and Frank; daughter Dolores West; and numerous grandchildren.

Patricia Bailey
ONO - Graveside services for Patricia Jean Bailey, 57, of Ono will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lawncrest Memorial Park in Redding.
The Rev. Dennis Benfield of Happy Valley Baptist Church will officiate.
A memorial gathering of family and friends will follow the graveside services at the Redding Moose Lodge on Lake Boulevard in Redding.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today and Wednesday at Lawncrest Funeral Chapel in Redding.
Mrs. Bailey died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, at Guardian Rehabilitation Hospital in Redding.
Born May 27, 1942, in East Los Angeles, she moved to Shasta County in 1958 from Santa Barbara.
She was a bookkeeper with B&K; Refrigeration in Redding for 30 years.
Survivors include husband Norman; son Brian Bailey of Ono; daughters Sheryl Watts and Diana Coleman, both of Redding, and Brenda Sandifer of Igo; brothers John Maloney of Riverside and Jack Maloney of Shasta Lake; and sisters Carol Winters of Belleview, Fla., Marjorie Jones of Redding, Sandra Rigdon of Stockton and Judith Stoeckert of New Bern, N.C.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3290 Bechelli Lane, Redding, CA 96002.

McARTHUR - Graveside services for Cedric Bruce Gordon, 88, of McArthur will be at 11 a.m. today at Redding Cemetery.

Mr. Gordon died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, at Mayers Memorial Hospital in Fall River Mills.
Born Jan. 15, 1911, in Los Angeles, he moved to Shasta County in 1911 from his birthplace.
He was a heavy equipment operator for the State of California Highway Division.
Survivors include son Francis; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Thomas Powers
CORNING - Graveside services for former Redding resident Thomas Wayne Powers, 60, of Corning will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Redding Cemetery.
The Rev. Mike Clary of Valley Christian Church in Redding will officiate.
Mr. Powers died Sunday, Sept. 26, 1999, at his residence.
Born June 8, 1939, in St. Helena, he moved to Shasta County in 1966 from Red Bluff, before moving back to Tehama County several years later.
He was a funeral director for McDonald's Chapel and Lawncrest Chapel in Redding, had worked for Oak Hill Mortuary in San Jose, was a former member of Redding West Rotary Club, Redding Host Lions and the Anderson Lions.
Survivors include wife Carol; son Alan of Cottonwood; sister Susan Morgado of Bonanza, Ore.; mother Janice of Red Bluff; and two grandchildren.

Vicki Olinger-Hyden
STANDISH - Former Redding resident Vicki Anne Olinger-Hyden, 54, of Standish died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, at Mercy Medical Center in Redding.
Services are pending.
Born Feb. 23, 1945, in Redding, she moved to Lassen County in 1979 from her birthplace.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include son Scott Hyden of Fernley, Nev.; daughter Tami Fargo of Susanville; brothers Larry Olinger of Shasta Lake and Ron Burress of Big Bear; and three grandchildren.

LeRoy 'Lee' Simon
REDDING - Services for LeRoy ''Lee'' Albert Simon, 88, of Redding will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding.
The Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge 271 of Redding will officiate.
Burial will be at Redding Cemetery.
Mr. Simon died Sunday, Sept. 26, 1999, at Mercy Medical Center in Redding.
Born July 22, 1911, in Kennett, he was a lifelong resident of Shasta County.
He worked for the city of Redding for 37 years, was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge 271 in Redding, the Rebekah Lodge 138 in Redding, Sons In Retirement in Redding, California Kamloops, Inc., and the retired Public Employees Association.
Survivors include wife Mary; daughters Florence Mohler of Issaquah, Wash., and LaRee Brunelli of Carmichael; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
