BURNEY - Services for Pearl Elzmar Wiley, 82, of Burney will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Word of Life Assembly in Burney.
The Rev. Jerry Thomas of the church will officiate.
Burial will be at Burney District Cemetery.
Mrs. Wiley died Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, at Mayers Memorial Hospital in Fall River Mills.
Born Oct. 7, 1918, in Caldwell Parish, La., she moved to Shasta County in 1982 from Willits.
She was a housekeeper and a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include daughters Gail Cotney of Burney and Letha of Sonora; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by McDonald's Chapel in Burney.
Arnold Burger
DUNSMUIR - Arnold W. Burger, 88, of Dunsmuir died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center in Mount Shasta.
No services will be conducted.
Born Jan. 23, 1912, in Ono, he moved to Siskiyou County in 1937 from his birthplace.
He was a railroad conductor for Southern Pacific Railroad.
Survivors include wife Maria; sons Lee and Ricky, both of Dunsmuir; daughter Gail Goodrich of Mount Shasta; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Arrangements are being handled by Mount Shasta Memorial Chapel in Mount Shasta.
Helen Koon
COTTONWOOD - Helen Anne Koon, 53, of Cottonwood died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001, at her residence following a short illness.
Private family services were conducted.
Burial was at Millville Cemetery.
Born May 16, 1947, in San Antonio, she moved to Shasta County in 1976 from Newbury Park.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include husband Doug; sons Sean of Loma Linda, Alan of Canoga Park and Robert of Winneth; daughter Leah Goymer of Nampa, Idaho; brothers George Hazel of Arizona, Mike Hazel of San Antonio and Charlie Hazel of Texas; sisters Mary C. Hazel of Texas and Elizabeth Hazel of New Mexico; and two grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Palo Cedro.
Hazel Thunborg
DUNSMUIR - Hazel Thunborg, 90, of Dunsmuir died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2001, at Fairchild Medical Center in Yreka.
Private services will be conducted.
Burial will be at Mount Shasta Memorial Park in Mount Shasta.
Born Dec. 29, 1910, in Spokane, Wash., she moved to Siskiyou County in 1933 from Medford, Ore.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include sons Eugene of Dunsmuir, Lawrence of Mount Shasta and Donald of Glendale, Ariz.; sisters Margaret Gustafson of Moses Lake, Wash., and Mildread Doolittle of Clackamas, Ore.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Barratt Ray
MCCLOUD - Services for Barratt W. Ray, 86, of McCloud will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Mount Shasta Memorial Chapel in Mount Shasta.
The Rev. Ray Horst of Evangelical Free Church in Mount Shasta will officiate.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Mount Shasta Memorial Chapel.
Burial will be at Mount Shasta Memorial Park.
Mr. Ray died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2001, at Canyonwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Redding.
Born Feb. 14, 1914, in Oakland, he moved to Siskiyou County in 1939 from Chico. He was a teacher at McCloud High School, a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Chico State's Block C, Blue Keys, Epsilon Pi Tau and Delta Si Delta.
Survivors include sons Mike of Mount Shasta, Bob of Lake Shastina and Steve of Redding; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

James Bloxham
PALO CEDRO - James R. Bloxham, 77, of Palo Cedro died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001, at his residence.
No services will be conducted.
Born Jan. 29, 1923, in Grundy Center, Iowa, he moved to Shasta County in 1997 from Arcata. He was an owner/operator of a service station in Arcata, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of Moose Lodge No. 208 in Arcata, a member of the North Arcata Merchants Association and a member of AARP.
Survivors include sons James of La Mesa and Dennis of Eureka; daughter Carla of Palo Cedro; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Jack Barber
REDDING - Jack Edward Barber, 83, of Redding died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at SunBridge Care Center for Redding.

Born July 8, 1917, in Greeley, Colo., he moved to Shasta County in 1989 from Camarillo. He was an accountant with the Los Angeles Board of Education, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of the Redding Moose Lodge.
Survivors include wife Anita; son Don of Redding; and one grandchild.
