Private family services will be conducted.
Born Sept. 23, 1925, in Los Angeles, he moved to Shasta County in 1989 from Southern California. He was an electrical mechanic supervisor with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and a U.S. Navy veteran during World War II.
Survivors include wife Carol; daughters Teresa Campbell of Sacramento, April Yost of Euless, Texas, and Melanie Phillips-Butler of Newhall; and six grandchildren.

June Duke
REDDING - Memorial services for June Lavey South Duke, 78, of Redding will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McDonald's Chapel in Redding.
Sheriff Jim Pope will officiate.
Burial will be at Redding Cemetery.
Mrs. Duke died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at Amber Oaks Assisted Living in Redding.
Born May 17, 1922, in Orland, she lived in Shasta County from 1942 to 1991, moved to Orland and recently returned to Shasta County.
She was an assistant traffic manager at Pacific Bell.
Survivors include son Michael South of Redding; brothers Howard and Lou Lavey, both of Orland; sister Dorothy Gehring of Orland; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

ANDERSON - Services for Joyce Elaine Whiting, 74, of Anderson will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding.
The Rev. Dennis Benfield of Happy Valley Baptist Church will officiate.
Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Monday at the chapel.
Mrs. Whiting died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at Canyonwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Redding.
Born Feb. 12, 1926, in Huron, S.D., she moved to Shasta County in 1979 from Vancouver, Wash.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include sons Randall of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Bruce of Gresham, Ore.; daughters Janice LaMusga of Anderson, Lynette Phipps of Redding, Barbara Wampler of Klamath Falls, and Darla Bryant of Portland, Ore.; brother Ron Shaw of Rainier, Wash.; sister Lois Bentley of Ferndale, Mich.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Elmer Leonard
BURNEY - Services for Elmer O. Leonard, 83, of Burney will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Grace Community Bible Church in Burney.
The Rev. Henry Winkelman of the church will officiate.
Mr. Leonard died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, at Mayers Memorial Hospital in Fall River Mills.
Born Feb. 28, 1917, in Trent, Texas, he moved to Shasta County in 1967 from Avenal, N.M.
He was a mill worker.
Survivors include wife Alice; sons Clinton of Portland, Ore., and Herman of Clovis; daughters Connie Hess of Red Bluff, Mary Ellen Bastian of Aloha, Ore., and Debra Straight of Morristown, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Pryor died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2001, at Shasta Healthcare in Redding.
Born Oct. 4, 1925, in Kingsburg, she moved to Shasta County 1981 from San Francisco.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include son Scott of Pacific Grove; daughter Brooks Morgan of Redding; brother Earl Mitchell of Napa; sisters Frances Bennett of Kingsburg and Lorraine Siefer of Redding; and three grandchildren.

Burial was at Ogburn/Inwood Cemetery
in Shingletown.
Born July 6, 1900, in Lamar, Mo., he moved to Shasta County in 1951 from Santa Paula.
He was a mechanic for Don Davis car dealership in Redding.
Survivors include stepdaughter Genevieve Clearwater of Redding; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
