REDDING - Services for Marie Mieger-Weseman, 89, of Redding will be at 2 p.m. Friday at McDonald's Chapel in Redding.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McDonald's Chapel.
Burial will be at Whiskeytown Cemetery.
Mrs. Mieger-Weseman died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center in Redding.
Born June 14, 1911, in Murphysboro, Ill., she moved to Shasta County in 1938 from Los Angeles.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include son George Mieger of Redding; daughters Irene Duttweiler of Redding and Susann Latta of Harrison, Ark.; sisters Ruth Speers of Anderson and Burdella Alger and Ruie Shields, both of Redding; 11 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by McDonald's Chapel in Redding.
Mary "Alice" Kidd
COTTONWOOD - Services for Mary "Alice" Kidd, 82, of Cottonwood will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Anderson's Chapel in Anderson.
The Rev. Brad Manley of Anderson-Cottonwood Neighborhood Church in Anderson will officiate.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and at 9 a.m. until the services Monday at Anderson's Chapel.
Burial will be at Cottonwood District Cemetery.
Mrs. Kidd died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, at SunBridge Care Center for Redding.
Born Feb. 17, 1918, in Salida, Colo., she moved to Shasta County in 1978 from Lancaster.
She was a bookkeeper, an employee of Corning Memorial Hospital and a member of Anderson-Cottonwood Neighborhood Church.
Survivors include son Richard Robuck of Cottonwood; two grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.

WEED - Graveside services for Thomas Treadford Barron, 70, of Weed will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Winema Cemetery
in Weed.
The Rev. Keith Bradley of Callahan Community Church in Callahan will officiate.
Mr. Barron died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation for Weed.
Born March 1, 1930, in Pine Tree, Ark., he moved to Siskiyou County in 1941 from his birthplace. He was a U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force veteran of both the Korean War and the Vietnam War, and he worked in civil service at International Paper Co.
Survivors include wife Carole; daughters Debra of Worcester, Mass., Darlene Dawson and Charlene Sanchez, both of Weed, and Cherl Stewart of Sausalito; sisters Dorothy Duchi and Mollie Greene, both of Weed, and Beatrice Vanni of Mount Shasta; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Leo Bauer
YOUNTVILLE - Services for former Shasta County resident Leo L. Bauer, 85, of Yountville will be at 10 a.m. Feb. 15 at Veterans Chapel in Yountville.
Mr. Bauer died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at Yountville Veterans Home in Yountville.
Born April 14, 1915, in Havre, Mont., he moved to Shasta County in 1947 from Rochester, N.Y. He had lived in Napa County since 1998. He was an agent for Allstate Insurance Co. and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II Americal Division.
Survivors include son John of Redding; daughter Ann of Mill Valley; and one grandchild.

Ray Mitchell
HAYFORK - Ray A. Mitchell, 81, of Hayfork died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001, at his residence.
Private services will be conducted at a later date.
Born Sept. 14, 1919, in Garfield, Ark., he moved to Trinity County around 1960 from Colton, Ore. He was a career logger, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include sister Velma Mitchell of Woodburn, Ore.

Kenneth Soder
REDDING - Kenneth I. Soder, 67, of Redding died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at his residence.

RANCHO TEHAMA - Graveside services for Melvin Wilbert Harvey, 76, of Rancho Tehama will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Halcumb Cemetery

The District 20 Veterans of Foreign Wars Guard will officiate.
Mr. Harvey died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001, at his residence.
Born Aug. 9, 1924, in Bieber, he moved to Shasta County in 1942 from Bieber before moving to Tehama County in 1992. He was a truck driver for Van Pelt Logging, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a member of the Fort Crook Lodge in Fall River Mills and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include wife Lena; stepson Doug Ross of Anderson; stepdaughter Sandra Bacon of Colusa; sisters Melva Belmont of Oroville, Mardell Rice of La Quinta and Yvonne Maloon of Petaluma; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
