REDDING - Services for Alfred David Newton, 75, of Redding will be at 7 p.m. today at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding.
Visitation will be at the service.
Burial will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery
in Eagle Point, Ore.
Mr. Newton died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001, at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose.
Born April 18, 1925, in McIntosh, Minn., he moved to Shasta County in 1988 from Missouri.
He was a line worker for General Motors and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include daughters Cindy Kraska of San Jose and Brenda of Redding; stepson Dale Swartz of Redding; stepdaughters Shirley Stimpson of Redding, Bonnie Arndt of Shreveport, La., Linda Rice of Ukiah and Joanne Bogart of Redding; sisters Elsie Gunderson of Anoka, Minn., Ida Mae Talarico of Grand Junction, Minn., Doris Troxel of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and Terrie Wynne of Fosston, Minn.; 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Eleanor Shaneyfelt
SHASTA LAKE - Services for Eleanor May Shaneyfelt, 57, of Shasta Lake will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding.
Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. today at the chapel.
Burial will be at Shasta Lake Cemetery.
Mrs. Shaneyfelt died Friday, Jan. 26, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center in Redding following a short illness.
Born July 22, 1943, in Glasgow, Scotland, she moved to Shasta County in 1975 from Vallejo.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include husband Cecil; daughters Carol Bray of Shasta Lake, Debbie of Anderson, Lisa of Grants Pass, Ore., and Amy of Shasta Lake; brother Stephen Findlay of Sacramento; sister Hazel Trampp of American Canyon; five grandchildren; and mother Bertha Findlay of American Canyon.

Charles Blurton
REDDING - Services for Charles Andrew Blurton, 80, of Redding will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding.
Ed Samford, his son-in-law, will officiate.
Burial will be at Millville Cemetery.
Mr. Blurton died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001, at Redding Medical Center.
Born March 17, 1920, in Davis Creek, he moved to Shasta County in 1950 from Modoc County.
He was a timber faller.
Survivors include daughter Kathy Samford of Redding; stepdaughters Charlene Wilson of Bakersfield and Sharon Avillanoza of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Lillian Wiker
REDDING - Lillian B. Wiker, 91, of Redding died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center in Redding.
No services will be conducted.
Born June 30, 1909, in Norway, she moved to Shasta County in 1982 from Walnut Creek.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing bingo at the John Beaudet Community Senior Center in Shasta Lake.
Survivors include son Richard of Shasta Lake; daughter Linda Thompson of Carson City, Nev.; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by McDonald's Chapel in Redding.
Beulah Noland
NAPA - Services for former Cottonwood resident Beulah Faye Noland, 90, of Napa will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Treadway & Wigger Funeral Chapel in Napa.
The Rev. James Counihan of Shepard's Chapel in Napa will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Treadway & Wigger Funeral Chapel in Napa.
Burial will be at Tulocay Cemetery
in Napa.
Mrs. Noland died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001, at the Meadows Convalescent Center in Napa.
Born Jan. 30, 1910, in Aurora, Kan., she moved to Shasta County in 1942 and to Napa in 1998.
She was an co-owner/operator of a dairy farm in Cottonwood, served on the Tehama County District Fair board and the Tehama County Grand Jury, and was active in local 4-H clubs.
Survivors include daughter Bettie Timm of Napa; stepdaughters Barbara Mullett, Bonnie Rose and Wilburta Eberhardt, all of San Diego; stepson John of Southern California; sister Helen Cyr of Anderson; brother John "Bill" Gerard of Napa; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-and great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions can be made to a favorite charity.

Born May 11, 1921, in Fort Dick, she moved to Shasta County in 1999 from Eureka.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include sons Alan of Merced and Jeff of Shasta Lake; and daughters Susan Aschbacher of Fort Bragg and Janet Wilson of Merced.

Clarence Bobbs
FAIR OAKS - Masonic services and interment
for former Mount Shasta resident Clarence Edward Bobbs, 85, of Fair Oaks will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Mount Shasta Memorial Chapel and Park in Mount Shasta.
Mr. Bobbs died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2001, at Sutter Medical Center in Roseville.
Born June 8, 1915, in Oceanside, he lived in Mount Shasta until 1933 when he moved to Chico. He later moved to Fair Oaks.
He was a professional trumpet player, worked as a United Nations adviser in China, was a deputy chief of maintenance at McClellan Air Force Base and past president of the National Association of Supervisors.
Bobbs was a director of the McClellanaires choral group, was a member and choir director of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Sacramento, a member of the Warren G. Harding Lodge No. 579 in Sacramento and a past president of the Sons in Retirement.
Survivors include wife Sheila; daughters Sheila Anderson of Newark, Del., and Pamela of Walnut Creek; brother Paul Roberts of Long Beach; sister Ruby Tracy of San Lorenzo; and two grandchildren.
