RED BLUFF - Services for Elsie Frances Gurschke, 99, of Red Bluff will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Church in Anderson.
The Rev. Michael Kiernan of the church will officiate.
Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery
in Red Bluff.
Mrs. Gurschke died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001, at SunBridge Care Center in Redding.
Born Oct. 13, 1901, in San Francisco, she was a Tehama County resident since 1971.
She was a fashion designer.
Arrangements are being handled by Hoyt-Cole Chapel of the Flowers in Red Bluff.
Tracy McCauley
COTTONWOOD - Tracy Allyson McCauley, 44, of Cottonwood died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center in Redding after a long illness.
Services have been conducted.
Born Feb. 27, 1956, in Michigan, she moved to Shasta County in 1972 from Kalamazoo, Mich.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Anderson-Cottonwood Neighborhood Church in Anderson.
Survivors include sons Chadley, Bradley and Shane Reynolds, all of Cottonwood; daughters Leah Conent and Kristy Reynolds, both of Cottonwood; brothers Randy Conent of Anderson and Chris and Jeff Conent, both of Bend, Ore.; two grandchildren; and father Don Lawion of Grand Rapids, Mich.
Arrangements are being handled by Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Anderson.
Wilbur Styers
MCCLOUD - Wilbur Amos Styers, 75, of McCloud died Friday, Jan. 26, 2001, at Mercy Care Center in Mount Shasta.
Services are pending.
Born July 7, 1925, in Jordan, Mont., he moved to Siskiyou County in 1942 from Gardiner, Mont. He was a truck driver for Frank Dal Gallo Co. in Mount Shasta, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4718 in Dunsmuir and a member of American Legion Post No. 92 in McCloud.
Survivors include wife Alice; sons Robin of Weed and Allen of Basalt, Colo.; and two grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Mount Shasta Memorial Chapel in Mount Shasta.
Jacob Alexander
REDDING - Services for Jacob Clay Alexander, the 3-month-old son of Michael and Teresa Alexander of Redding, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel.
Burial will be at Lawncrest Memorial Park in Redding.
Jacob died Friday, Jan. 26, 2001, at U.C. David Medical Center in Sacramento.
He was born Oct. 8, 2000, in Redding.
Survivors include grandparents Donald and Linda of Redding and Berney and Vera Gerney of Cottonwood; great-grandparents Charles and Lucille Clay of Anderson and William and Thelma of Rancho Cucamonga.

Marie Mieger-Weseman
REDDING - Graveside services for Marie Mieger-Weseman, 89, of Redding will be at 2 p.m. today at Lawncrest Memorial Park in Redding.
Bishop Jerry Thomas of Redding First Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will officiate.
Mrs. Mieger-Weseman died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center in Redding.
Burial will be at Whiskeytown Cemetery.
Born June 14, 1911, in Murphysboro, Ill., she moved to Shasta County in 1938 from Los Angeles.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include son George Mieger of Redding; daughters Irene Duttweiler of Redding and Susann Latta of Harrison, Ark.; sisters Ruth Speers of Anderson, and Burdella Alger and Ruie Shields, both of Redding; 11 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great grandchildren.

REDDING - Services for Alfred Elmer Axsom, 87, of Redding will be at 10 a.m. Monday at McDonald's Chapel in Redding.

Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at McDonald's Chapel.
Burial will be at Oak Hill Memorial Park in San Jose.

Born Dec. 27, 1913, in Andover, Mo., he moved to Shasta County in 1997 from San Jose.
He was a self-employed dairy farmer and a member of the Grace Fellowship Church in Cottonwood.
Survivors include son Bernard of Spickard, Mo.; daughters Mary Johnson of Independence, Mo., and Freeda Haggard of Redding; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Dwight Barnes
RENO - Former Shasta County resident Dwight Barnes, 81, of Reno died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, at Redding Medical Center.
Private services will be conducted.
Burial will be at Anderson Cemetery.
Born Sept 24, 1919, in Texola, Okla., he lived in Shasta County from 1929 to 1937. He was a member of Local Iron Workers Union No. 118, and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include son Dennis Barnes of California; daughters Darlene Cooper of Redding and Pamela Mears of Reno; sister Bonnie of Kansas; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
