ANDERSON - Graveside services for Thomas Wesley Middleton, 94, of Anderson will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Lawncrest Memorial Park in Redding.
The Rev. Michael Johnson of Shasta Baptist Church in Redding will officiate.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lawncrest Chapel.
Mr. Middleton died Saturday, April 7, 2001, at Rehab Specialties in Anderson.
Born Jan. 26, 1907, in Braggs, Okla., he moved to Shasta County in 1963 from Bakersfield.
He was a gardener and a member of Shasta Baptist Church.
Survivors include son Ellis of Gold Hill, Ore.; daughter Joyce Van Pelt of Redding; brother John of Watsonville; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Lawncrest Chapel.
Joyce Fumagalli
ANDERSON - A memorial service for Joyce Ryness Fumagalli, 71, of Anderson will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall in Anderson.
The Rev. Ellis Martin and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9650 Auxiliary will officiate.
Mrs. Fumagalli died Saturday, April 7, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center in Redding.
Born March 21, 1930, in Los Angeles, she moved to Shasta County in 1960 from Inglewood.
She was a homemaker and a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Anderson.
Survivors include sons Paul Ryness of Anderson and Rick Ryness of Redding; daughter Linda Palaniuk of Concord; brother Richard Petrie of Roseville; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Travis Glenn Bassett
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Travis Glenn Bassett age 37 on November 28th 2021. He is the Loving Son to Glenn Bassett and Becky Baldwin-Bassett and the Loving Protective Big Brother to Brittany (Bassett) Hodges, and the Father to the most loving cherished gift of all his Son Cayson Bassett,(Ashly McCutchan) Born October 22nd 1984 in Redding California he would instantly become the light of his parent's eyes and lives. He grew up in the Anderson Area where he enjoyed playing Ninja Turtles, Rollerblading, Riding Bikes, wakeboarding, Skateboarding and playing with all his friends. Travis enjoyed his time in Cub Scouts Pac 75 and was honored with many Badges and the Arrow of Light award. Travis also enjoyed and excelled in sports, he was an all-star in Football, Baseball and Wrestling, and his trophies would cover an entire wall making his family so very proud of all his accomplishments. Hunting and fishing was in his blood and he enjoyed every moment with friends, family and his beloved Dogs Buddy, Jake and Jax. Travis was a Tile Setter by trade and made many homes more beautiful with his Professional touch here in the Northstate. He was recently enrolled with Arizona State University, currently studying Criminal Justice and excelling in his courses. His heritage on his father's side shows he is a direct descendant to Pilgrim William Bassett of Plymouth Plantation and on his Mother's side to a long line of Chiefs of the Lemhi Shoshone and a direct descendant to Sacajawea's brother, Chief Tamkahanka. Travis will always be known for his heart of gold, his sense of humor, his kindness, a determined Spirit and his enduring love for his Family and Friends. He knew Jesus as his savior and that God is forever faithful.
Travis is preceded in Death by Grandpa Raymond Bassett, Grandpa Jack Baldwin, Nana Rosetta (Bassett) Miller. He leaves us with a life filled with love and cherished memories and the legacy of his son Cayson who loves his Daddy to infinity and beyond. He also leaves Grandma Norma Baldwin his Nephews Tallen Hodges, Bentley Torres many loving caring Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Heartfelt Friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 8th 2022, at Little Bear Creek Ranch, 6145 Parkville Rd, Anderson CA 96007 @ 2:00pm just east of Hawes Ranch. ANDERSON -- Graveside services for Ethel Malinda Preston, 93, of Anderson will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Oak Hill Cemetery
in Red Bluff.
The Rev. Gilbert DeLao of Calvary Chapel in Red Bluff will officiate.
Mrs. Preston died Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, at Mercy Medical Center in Redding.
She was born April 13, 1913, in Sumpter, Neb., and moved to Tehama County in 1954.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include sons Harry and Joseph, both of Corning, and Robert of Gerber.

RED BLUFF -- Visitation for Merle Duane Trueblood, 75, of Red Bluff will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hoyt-Cole Chapel of the Flowers in Red Bluff.

Mr. Trueblood died Saturday, Jan, 13, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff.
He was born July 28, 1931, in McDonald, Kan., and moved to Tehama County in 1968.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a timber feller and a member of Proberta Community Bible Church.
Survivors include wife Zelda; sons Merle of Quincy and Darren of Redding; daughter Tonya Hough of Susanville; brother Eldon of Gold Beach, Ore.; sisters Genevieve Jackson of Eugene, Ore., Evelyn Parr of Olympia, Wash., Florence Reeves of Quilcene, Wash., and Gloria Swofford of Springfield, Ore.; and nine grandchildren.

Mary Renenger
ROSEVILLE -- Former Shasta County resident Mary E. Renenger, 87, of Roseville died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, at Sutter Roseville Medical Center in Roseville.
Services were held at St. Rose Catholic Church in Roseville and burial was at St. Joseph Cemetery
in Redding.
She was born Dec. 15, 1919, in Gruver, Iowa, moved to Shasta County in 1977, and recently relocated to Roseville.
She was a clerk typist for Sonoma County Social Services in Santa Rosa and a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Survivors include sons Ed of Roseville, Gary of Turlock and Don of Sonoma; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

COTTONWOOD -- Services for Donna Jean Hawck, 75, of Redding will be at 1 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Anderson.

Mrs. Hawck died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, at Shasta Regional Medical Center in Redding.
She was born Oct. 11, 1931, in Payson, Utah, and moved to Shasta County in 1965.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include sons Stephen of Cottonwood, Michael of Redding and David and James, both of Yuba City; daughters Nancy Fallat of Nevada City, Nev., and Kathy Altermatt of Anderson; brothers Leland Black of Flagstaff, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
