REDDING -- Maude Elizabeth Havlicek, 100, of Redding died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, at Hallmark House in Redding.
Private services will be held.
Mrs. Havlicek was born May 25, 1906, in Monticello, Ind., and moved to Shasta County in 1996.
She was a homemaker, a proctor for the state of California and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Southern California.
Survivors include son Charles of Redding; daughter Betsy Brennan of Redding; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Northern California Chapter, 150 Grand Ave., Oakland, CA 94612.

John Young
REDDING -- Services for John Samuel Young, 74, of Redding will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Millville Masonic Lodge.
Past Master Edmun Mothershed of the lodge will officiate.
Burial will be at Northern California Veterans Cemetery
in Igo.
Mr. Young died Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, at Shasta Regional Medical Center in Redding.
He was born May 11, 1932, in Elgin, Tenn., and moved to Shasta County in 1959.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a painting contractor, a volunteer for the Shasta County Sheriff's Department, a Patrol Unit color sergeant and member of the Asiya Shriners, and a member of Mission Masonic Lodge No. 169 in San Francisco, Scottish Rite Freemasonry, Royal Order of Jesters Court 4, Northern Light Chapter 14 and Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include wife Patricia; daughters Debby Pieplow of Redwood City and Donna Lynn Syrett of Folsom; sisters Reba Wade of Indiana and May Suter of Ohio; and three grandchildren.

Elwein Hale
ROUND MOUNTAIN -- Graveside services for Elwein G. Hale, 93, of Round Mountain will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Halcumb Cemetery
in Montgomery Creek
Family members will officiate.
Mr. Hale died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, at Kirkwood Assisted Living in Redding.
He was born April 26, 1913, in Longton, Kan., and moved to Shasta County in 1999 from Redlands.
He owned a hardware and feed store in Redlands; was a member of the Yucaipa Kiwanis Club, the Odd Fellows Lodge, the Calimesa Chamber of Commerce and the Chat Room at Golden Bear Store in Round Mountain; and was a former board member of the Redlands Unified School District.
Survivors include son Gary Jr. of Round Mountain; daughters Janis Burke of Riverside, Sugar Weaver of Calimesa and Annie Herrick of Westlake Village; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Stosha Miroth
RED BLUFF -- Graveside services for Stosha Arete Anne Miroth, stillborn daughter of Stosh and Patricia Miroth of Red Bluff, will be at noon Wednesday, Feb. 7, at Redding Memorial Park.
Stosha died Dec. 20, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff.
Other survivors include sisters Cortney, Katelynn and Kirsten, all of Susanville; stepsiblings Isaac Anderson, Bryne Anderson, Faith Anderson and Robin Anderson, all of Cottonwood; and grandparents Stan Miroth, Gene and Martha Sterling, and Mike and Debbie Carter.

Margaret Velasco
McCLOUD - Margaret Mary Velasco, 51, of McCloud died Thursday, April 12, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center in Mount Shasta following a short illness.
No services will be conducted.
Born Oct. 28, 1949, in Pennsylvania, she moved to Siskiyou County in 1996 from San Diego.
She was a housekeeper for Stoney Brook Inn in McCloud.
Survivors include longtime companion John Farmer of McCloud; son Jack of San Diego; daughter Lisa Gurule of Ocean Park, Wash.; sisters Elizabeth Baunet of Ocean Park and Donna Gomez of San Diego; and four grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Mount Shasta Memorial Chapel.
Mary Bressler
REDDING - Mary Caroline Bressler, 72, of Redding died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at Redding Medical Center.
No services will be conducted.
Born Dec. 29, 1928, in Dayton, Ohio, she moved to Shasta County in 1980 from Reno.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include husband Marvin; son Edward of Vacaville; daughters Anne of Redding and Jill Bailey of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; and two grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by McDonald's Chapel in Redding.
Ward Collier
ANDERSON - Services for Ward L. Collier, 70, of Anderson will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Anderson's Chapel in Anderson.
The Rev. Jim Logan of Valley Christian Center in Anderson will officiate.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at the chapel.
Burial will be at Redding Cemetery.
Mr. Collier died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at SunBridge Care Center for Redding.
Born Sept. 9, 1930, in Albany, Ore., he moved to Shasta County in 1978 from Orland. He was a U.S. Navy and a U.S. Coast Guard veteran who served in World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a recipient of the Perchard Memorial Trophy for service excellence, the Bronze Star, and other awards, and a member of the Valley Christian Center in Anderson.
Survivors include wife Donna; stepsons James and John Ryne, both of Anderson, Leeand Ryne of Oroville, and Terry Enoch of Emmett, Idaho; daughters Christine Crocker of Hawthorne and Lisa Reynoso of Torrance; brother Arthur Prince of Quincy; mother Ardell Prince of Orland; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
