Doris Leoma (Hansen) Farnham
Doris Leoma (Hansen) Farnham died in Woodland's Alderson Convalescent Hospital, at 9:45 Thursday evening, Jan. 26, 2006, at age 91.
Born Dec. 14, 1914, in Seattle, Wash., she had been a Yolo County resident for 72 years. She was the eldest of three daughters born to the late Frank and Selma (Umdal) Hansen. She grew up in Seattle and was a Queen Anne High School graduate, in 1933. She served as a medical receptionist, in Woodland, for 20 years and taught international folk dancing for many years.
Mrs. Farnham is survived by her husband of 72 years, Joe Farnham; grandson, Brett Farnham; and great-grandchildren, Blake and Hillary Farnham, all of Woodland. Also surviving is her sister, Peggy Oakes of San Antonio, Texas; niece, Janett Campagna of Seattle, Wash.; and a great many close friends in Yolo County. Mrs. Farnham was preceded in death by her son, Neil Farnham, in 1996; granddaughter, Lynn Farnham, in 1982; and sister, Jane Campagna.
Respecting the wishes of Mrs. Farnham, no formal funeral is scheduled. Sacramento Valley Memorial Society of North Sacramento is assisting the family with cremation.

FARNHAM
Eva Dorothy Farnham
Eva Dorothy Farnham died on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at age 89 in Woodland.
Mrs. Farnham was born in Bently, N.D., on Jan. 18, 1914, and spent the last 70 years in Yolo County.
A graduate of North Dakota schools, Mrs. Farnham later worked at Montgomery Ward as a sales clerk for 20 years in Woodland. She had been a homemaker for the past 30 years.
Mrs. Farnham is survived by daughter, Joyce Vargas of Redding; sons, Darryl Voelz of Fair Oaks, Richard Voelz of Redding, Robert Voelz of Redding; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her twin sister, Louise Roebuck of Woodland, sister Elizabeth Yarosh, of Mott, N.D.; and brothers, Joseph Kelsch and William Kelsch, both of Mott.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Farnham on April 4, 1987.
Memorials may be sent in care of the American Cancer Society. Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors is assisting the family with arrangements.
Services: Private committal services will be held at the Woodland Cemetery.
FARNSWORTH
Jay Farnsworth
Jay Farnsworth passed away on Sept. 3, 2005, in Stockton. Born Feb. 12, 1945, he was 60 years old.
The family was raised in Winters.
He is survived by his mother, Rose Baker, of Vacaville; daughters, Kari Holstein, of Stockton and Tami Farnsworth, of Sacramento; two sisters, Sherrie Kidwell, of Vacaville and Bonnie Saporetti, of Oroville, and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
FARRELL
Ann Elizabeth Farrell
Ann Elizabeth Farrell died Friday, April 22, 2005, at Woodland Healthcare Center at age 83.
Born on Aug. 2, 1921 in Ostelic, New York to Henry and Lillian (Spaulding) Card, she attended area schools and graduated from Charlotte High School in 1939, and was an alumni of North Central College in Naperville, Ill., where she received her Bachelors degree in 1944.
On Dec. 4, 1948, she marriage Wilfred Farrell. It was the first interracial marriage ceremony in San Francisco County history. Mrs. Farrell was employed as a Postal Service supervisor from 1964 to 1988, and worked in Oakland during her 24-year career.
A leader in women's rights, she was very active in both the National Association of Postal Supervisors and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees #0903 of Vacaville.
She is survived by Patricia Alidrissi of College Park, Ga.; sons Lawrence Farrell of Jamaica Plains, Mass.; Michael Farrell of West Sacramento; Douglas Farrell and wife Lorraine of San Leandro; Bradley Farrell of Antioch, and Sheldon Farrell and wife Sybil of Boca Raton, Fla. She is also survived by step son Robert Farrell of San Pedro, her brother Edward Card of Rochester, New York, sisters-in-law Joanna Card of Rochester, New York, and Mildred Robertson of New Orleans, La.
Her legacy also includes 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, close friends Georgia Bragg of Vacaville and Dorothy Gage of Sacramento.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Wilfred Wesley Farrell, sons Kenton Farrell and Michael Brand, and her brother Fred Card.
Service: A private family service will be held with interment at Rolling Hills Memorial Park in Richmond. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donors' choice in Farrell's memory.

FARRINGTON
Viola Farrington
Viola Farrington died in Woodland Skilled Nursing Facility in Woodland Sunday, June 16, 2002, at age 92.
Born Aug. 9, 1909, in California, Mrs. Farrington was the daughter of the late George and Fay Dundas. She has been a Yolo County resident for 62 years. She was a decorator at Woodland Furniture for many years.
Mrs. Farrington is survived by her daughter, Dee Grover; grandchildren, Holly and Brian Grover, all of Wisconsin; and niece, Pat Purtell and husband Tom of Woodland.
Respecting the wishes of Mrs. Farrington services are scheduled.

FASSENFELT
Neva C. Fassenfelt
Neva (Cross) Fassenfelt died on June 21, 2002, in Davis. She was 85.
She was born on Dec. 22, 1916, in Dighton, Kan. She graduated from Salem High School, marriage Louie Cross in 1935, and lived in Oregon until 1952, when her husband was drafted into the Korean War.
The family moved to Whittier, and, 16 years later, they moved to Lake Almanor, where she sold real estate and helped her husband manage their Crossroads restaurant.
She was famous for the fruit cobblers she made daily for nearly 10 years. After her husband's death in 1981, she moved to Portland, Ore. There, she marriage Les Fassenfelt, who died in 1995.
In March 2001, she moved to Davis and was an Alzheimer's patient at the University Retirement Community.
She is survived by her three children and their spouses: Sharon and Elliott Rose of Davis, Kay and Bill Johnson of Portland, and Herb and Lois Cross of Dixon.
She was devoted to and loved by her grandchildren: Amy Sparks of Seattle, Robynne Rose and Tom McDonagh of Sacramento, Sara Acuna of Portland, Kathy and Paul Settles of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Cynthia Sparks of Portland, Jennifer and Luis Fernandez of Bend, Ore., Michelle Cross of San Diego and Taylor Cross of Dixon. There are also five great-grandchildren who will also miss her smiles, her love and her winning personality.
She is also survived by three sisters, one brother and their spouses: Ada Mae Hurd of Salem, Loretta and Charles Harris of Portland, Estelene and Wally Hancock of Huntington Beach, and Bob and Pam Smith of Salem. She is further survived by her sister-in-law, Juanita Curry and brother-in-law Bill Cross, both of whom live in Salem, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral and burial will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Belcrest Cemetery in Salem, Ore.
The family requests that donations in her memory be made to Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis, CA 95617.
FAULKIN
Michael W. Faulkin
Longtime Davis resident Michael W. Faulkin died unexpectedly on Oct. 13, 2002, at Rideout Memorial Hospital in Marysville.
Born on Oct. 27, 1951, to Leslie and Lois Faulkin in Ottawa, Kan., he was 50 years old.
He was one of two children born to the couple. After graduating from Davis High School in 1969, he worked for Butler Landscaping for a short time, then Bokan Brothers. As an auto parts sales representative, he traveled throughout Northern California, Oregon and Nevada.
He especially loved to travel and often went to Mexico and to the ocean. He was marriage in December 1976 to Jane L. Sullivan. They had one daughter together.
For the past eight years, he lived in Grants Pass, Ore. He then moved back to California, settling in Marysville. He had many enjoyments in life, including Giants baseball and Raiders football. He especially loved rock 'n' roll music. He worked for KDVS radio and the local community radio station. He even worked as a disc jockey during several periods in his life.
He was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark S. Faulkin, who died on Nov. 9, 1985. He is survived by his father, Leslie J. Faulkin of Davis; his mother, Lois N. Faulkin of Grants Pass, Ore.; his daughter, Heather A. Faulkin-Flood of Davis and her husband William "Brian"; his grandchildren, William "Christopher, " Delaney and Jordan, all of Davis; his aunt, Jo Trettin of Grants Pass, Ore.; and his ex-wife, Jane L. Sullivan of Davis as well as the entire Sullivan family.
A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Davis Cemetery, 820 Pole Line Road. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Chapel.
