Evelyn Louanna Fiel
Evelyn Louanna Fiel died in Woodland Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004 at age 86.
Mrs. Fiel was born Jan. 13, 1918 in Rawlins, Wyo. She had been a Yolo County resident for 36 years. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include Mrs. Fiel's husband of 45 years, Vaughn Don Fiel, also of Woodland; her son, James Boyd of Lodi; 25 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and her brothers, Gordon O'Brian and William O'Brian. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret Lucas.
Services: A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22 at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, 1850 W. Texas St., Fairfield; the Reverend Lester T. Seto officiating. Interment will be private. Bryan-Braker Funeral Home of Fairfield is assisting the family with arrangements.
FIELDEN
Eunice Ramona Fielden
Eunice Ramona Fielden of West Sacramento, and more recently of Davis, died Oct. 3, 2003, at Kaiser Hospital in Sacramento. Born July 14, 1922, in St. Joe, Idaho, she was 81 years old.
She spent her childhood and early adult years in Canada. While living with her family in Comox, British Columbia, she met Joe Fielden, a Texan serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was moving supplies up the inside passage to Alaska, but he soon found reason to often stop at the small town in British Columbia.
The couple were marriage in Seattle in 1944 and their first son, John, was born in Comox in 1945 while Fielden was serving in the Pacific Theater. After the war, the family moved to Southern California and a couple of years later settled in West Sacramento, where their second son, Robert, was born.
Above all, Eunice enjoyed being a wife and mother. When the first Macys store opened in Sacramento, she went to work in the housewares department and stayed there for more than 20 years. She enjoyed traveling and made numerous trips back to British Columbia to visit her mother and siblings. Along with her sister and mother, she made several trips to Canadian provinces with treks to see relatives in Washington and Idaho. She also traveled extensively throughout the United States.
A treasured wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was preceded in death by her husband Joe in January 2003, her parents and her brother, Wayne Howard.
She is survived by her sons, Robert of West Sacramento and John and his wife Sandra of Davis; granddaughter, Hillary Fielden of Davis; two great-grandsons, Timothy and William Bishop of Davis; sister, Bette McLellan of Port Alberni, British Columbia; brother, Brian Howard of British Columbia; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and their children.
At her wish, there will be no formal service. Memorial donations may be sent to Friends of the Arboretum at UC Davis or to the donor's favorite charity.
FIELDING
Jennifer Lynn Haas Fielding
Jennifer Lynn Haas Fielding died Friday, May 3, 2002, at Woodland Memorial Hospital of ovarian cancer. Born in Oakland, on April 14, 1952, Mrs. Fielding was 50 years old.
Mrs. Fielding was considered by her family to be an "outstanding wife, mother and friend." She worked as a bank processing manager for Wells Fargo Bank for 28 years. For the past three years she worked for Advance America Cash Advance Centers as a manager. She received her degree in finance from Sacramento State in 1996 where she was on the Dean's Honor Roll.
Mrs. Fielding, her family reported, loved being with her family, working in the garden and walking her four dogs. "She was a very loving person who influenced so many, " her family stated.
She is survived by her husband, Nathan Fielding and son, Jonathan Fielding, both of Woodland. She is also survived by her parents, Edwin and Leila Haas of Stockton. Others surviving her are brothers, Dennis Haas of Oregon, Barney Haas and Edwin Haas, both of Stockton; and Doug Haas of South Carolina; sister, Pamela Auclair of Folsom; mother-in-law, Dorothy Fielding of Knights Landing; sister-in-law, Donna Eaton of Woodland; and nephews, Sean Cookman of Davis and Scott Cookman of Woodland.
A graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 8, at the Woodland Cemetery.
The family would prefer memorial to the American Cancer Society or to St. Lukes Episcopal Church in Woodland.

FIGUEROA
Jesus David Figueroa
Jesus David Figueroa died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 21, 2005, in an automobile accident. He was 21.
Family visitation will be this evening, with interment to follow at Panteon Municipal in Tepache, Mexico.
Born in Hermosillo, Mexico, to Jesus and Sara (Ayon) Figueroa on Dec. 3, 1983, he attended local schools until moving to the Esparto area, where he worked as a driver in construction.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rosa Velarde, Trinidad Diaz and Francisco Figueroa.
He is survived by his parents, Jesus and Sara Figueroa of Madison; his sisters, Rosa Isela Figueroa Ayon and Mireya Figueroa Ayon of Madison; aunts, Carmen Figueroa, Maria de Los Angeles Figueroa, Trinidad Figueroa, Guadalupe Figueroa, Maria Esther Ayon and Irene Ayon, all of Mexico, and Maria Luisa Ayon of Sacramento; his uncles, Francisco Javier Figueroa of Tuscon, Ariz., and Alfonso and Rafael Ayon of Salinas; and his grandfather, Jose Dolores Ayon of Mexico.
Arrangements are under the direction of Evergreen Funeral Service of Woodland.
FIKE
Kenneth Duane Fike
Passed away in his Woodland residence April 6, 2005. Born July 17, 1938 in Chasley, N.D. Attended Rio Linda schools and graduated from Grant Union High School in 1956. He worked for various banks in the Sacramento area for 12 years before joining the Yolo County Sheriff's Department as a deputy sheriff, retiring in 1994. He was an active member of the Woodland Christian Center.
Survivors include his loving wife, Judy Fike and sons, Michael Fike and wife Shelley and Jeffery Fike as well as five grandchildren all of Woodland.
Visitation will be held at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland from 3 to 5 p.m. April 10. Funeral services will be held at the Assembly of God Church, 715 El Dorado Dr., Woodland, Monday, April 11 at 10 a.m. with interment to follow at the Woodland Cemetery.

FILBY
Larry Dan Filby
Larry Dan Filby died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Oct. 29, 2004, in Davis. He was 69.
A celebration of life service will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at the Episcopal Church of Saint Martin, 640 Hawthorn Lane in Davis.
Born Sept. 21, 1935, in Des Moines, Iowa, he lived in the Sacramento and Davis area for 51 years.
A graduate of the University of Iowa and a passionate Hawkeye fan, he began his career as a film producer for the State University of Iowa. He was a film editor and scriptwriter for North American Aviation in Ohio and worked in the film production unit of Aerojet General's Sacramento plant when it was producing rocket engines for the NASA space program.
He joined Sacramento's Department of Water Resources in 1969 as a radio, TV and motion picture specialist. In 1988, as chief of graphic services, he oversaw the installation of the department's first electronic accounting and graphic computer systems.
By the 1990s, he was a leading authority on emerging information technology - from both policy and technical perspectives - and served as DWR's first Webmaster while heading up the computer network services for the public affairs division. He retired in 2001.
His family says he loved his full life, family, friends and pets. A Sacramento Kings fan, he enjoyed tennis, golf, gardening, laughter, good wine, camping, nurturing his bonsais, creating pictorial travel journals and driving his Nissan 300ZX.
A trip to Japan in 1982 inspired his love of Japanese art and food. With a passion for creativity and the life of the mind, he loved taking beautiful pictures, computers, books, music, movies, theater, poetry and sunsets.
He vigorously fought non-Hodgkins lymphoma for 31/2 years. Before he died he said there was so much more he wanted to do and see.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Clarence Henry and Alice Geneva Filby, and his former wife, Sherry Filby.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Sandy Filby of Davis; daughter Ann Filby of El Dorado Hills; son Scott Filby and his wife Lindsay of Sacramento; stepchildren Eric Cantrell of Sacramento and Leslie Cantrell of Orange County; mother-in-law Jean Chapman of Davis; and grandchildren Stephanie and Chelsey Waits of El Dorado Hills, and Caitlin and Jack Filby of Sacramento.
He is further survived by his close friends, cousins, and critters Alex, Charli and Butch.
The family sends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Paul Rosenberg, Dr. Antoine Sayegh, their staff at Sutter, the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, nurses and nursing assistants, and the Sutter Davis Infusion Center nurses for their superb and compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Loaves and Fishes or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Greater Sacramento Chapter.
FISHER
Norma 'Donna' Fisher
Norma Donna Fisher left us to be with her Lord June 3, 2005. Born April 11, 1925, in Salt Lake City, Utah, she was 80 years old at the time of her death.
Donna was an active member of Woodland Bible Church and Calvary Baptist Church throughout different times of her life. A vibrant and energetic woman, she loved teaching others about Jesus Christ, planning and presenting dramas and, nurturing her family, as well as gardening and homemaking.
Donna is survived by Hal Fisher, her husband of 63 years, sons Steve and his wife Judy of Dunnigan, Dennis and his wife Janet of Kentwood, Ill., and Mark and his wife Terri of San Antonio, Texas.
She delighted in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Steve's children: son Matt Fisher and his wife Valerie, and their children Noah, Simon, and Abby of Davis; daughter Katie Fisher of Monterey; son James Umbenhower of Albuquerque, N.M.; daughter Joy Shutzman and husband John of Sacramento; daughter Julie Fisher of Redding.
Dennis's children: daughters Sarah Fisher and her son Alex of Arlington Heights, Ill., and Debbie Fisher of Arlington Heights, Ill.
Mark's children: son Jeremy Fisher and his wife Deanna, and their children Evelyn and Ian of Cibolo, Texas; daughter Laura Daily and her husband Alan, and their children Bevan, Emma Jane, Kyle, and Sean of Schertz, Texas; sons Graham Fisher, and Joel Fisher of San Antonio, Texas.
Donna is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her daughter Robin, sister Mary Ellen Kay, mother Mayme Beasley, stepfather E.J. Beasley, mother-in-law Gerty Fisher, and father-in-law Parley Fisher.
Graveside service will be Saturday, June 11, at 1 p.m. at Monument Hill Memorial Park in Woodland. A memorial service celebrating Donna's life will be held Saturday, June 11 at 2 p.m. at Woodland Bible Church, 433 California St., Woodland.
