James Wayne "Jay" Hightower
James Wayne "Jay" Hightower passed away on Friday, Jan. 21, 2005. Born on Sept. 29, 1929, he was 75 years old.
Jay was drafted into the Army and served in Korea. He was also a country western musician for over 40 years, and was inducted into the Western Swing Music Hall of Fame in 1989 for his outstanding contributions to western swing music.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rosalie Hightower, of Dixon; son and daughter-in-law David and Linda Hightower, of Winters; granddaughters Hillary Gomez and her husband, Jake, of Sparks, Nevada, and Jillian Miller and her husband, Aaron, of Winters; grandson, Seth Hightower, of Winters; great-granddaughter, Kiana Miller, of Winters, also a sister, Oma Kidwell, of Winters.
Visitation will be on Jan. 27, from 5-8 p.m. and funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 28, at 1 p.m. both at Milton Carpenter Funeral Home, in Dixon.
Interment will follow at the Silveyville Cemetery in Dixon.
Remembrances may be made in his name to Yolo Hospice, in Woodland.
HILDEBRAND
Dorothy Emaline Hildebrand
Dorothy Emaline Hildebrand died in her Woodland home Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at age 84.
Born March 19, 1919, in Rice County, Minn., Ms. Hildebrand had been a Yolo County resident for 57 years. She came to Yolo County after the end of World War II and remained. Spent her lifetime as a homemaker and caregiver to others.
Survivors include her nephew, Jerome Hildebrandt of Stewartville, Minn.; and many great nephews; and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, William C. and Emma (Baurenfeird) Hildebrandt; and brother, William Hildebrandt Jr.
The family requests memorials be directed to the charity of donor's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors of Woodland.
Services: Visitation was held Wednesday, April 9, at Kraft Bros. Chapel. A graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2003, at Nerstrand Evangelical Cemetery, Nerstrand, Minn., with a burial to follow.
HILDEBRAND
Spencer Gustov Hildebrand
Spencer Gustov Hildebrand died at Woodland Memorial Hospital Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, at age 53.
Born June 26, 1950, a native of Woodland, Mr. Hildebrand was a lifelong resident of Yolo County. He graduated from Woodland High School in 1968. He served in the National Guard for seven years. He was the third generation owner of the family business Hildebrand Auto Electric. He was a member of the Elks and Carlton Club.
Survivors include his daughters, Ellen Hildebrand of Oakland, Alex and Erin Hildebrand, both of Woodland; parents, Mary Margaret and Gus Hildebrand; sisters, Wendy, Paula and Christine Hildebrand, also all of Woodland; and numerous other relatives. He was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Hildebrand.
The family requests memorials be directed to the charity of donor's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of McNary's Chapel of Woodland.
Services: A memorial service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland.

Audrey Margaret Hill
Audrey Margaret Hill, 70, of Yuba City, died Sunday, July 28, 2002 in Yuba City after an accident.
Born in Shanghai, China, she was a Yuba-Sutter resident since 1968. Ms. Hill was a homemaker and an active member of many organizations including the Young ladies Institute of Yuba City, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court in Marysville, the Deanery of the Diocese of Sacramento, the Italian Catholic Federation of Yuba-Sutter, the Ladies of the Moose in Yuba City, the Town and Country Ladies in Yuba County, the Sutter County 4-H and the PTA.
Ms. Hill loved to garden, knit, crochet, sew and craft, but her specialty was her animals. She raised sheep, chickens, and rabbits for sale and also had extra money growing and selling cherries and walnuts.
MS. Hill is survived by two sons, John Hill of Woodland and Michael Hill of Hayward; three grandchildren, Rebecca, Robert and Caroline and one great grandchild, Kolby. One of 16 children, Ms. Hill is survived by seven brothers and three sisters.

Visitation is scheduled from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2002 at Lipp and Sullivan Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. following visitation at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002 at the church. Burial will be in Santa Clara Mission Cemetery in Santa Clara.
HILL
Christopher Ryan Hill
Christopher Ryan Hill, formerly of Davis, died on June 18, 2005, in an automobile accident in Tehachapi. He was 28.
A celebration of his life will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday at Meridian Vineyards, 7000 Highway 46 East in Paso Robles.
He was born July 24, 1976, and graduated from Davis High School in 1994. He attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo before starting a business in that town. Last September he marriage Karen Graham Hoppe of Los Osos and they moved the business to Tehachapi in January.
He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by all who knew him, his family says.
He is survived by his loving and devoted family: his wife, Karen Hill; his parents, Jim and Caren Hill of Davis; his brother and sister-in-law, Brennan and Eve Hill, nephew Carter and niece Gracie of Bakersfield; parents-in-law Mark and Penny Hoppe of Cayucos; brothers-in-law Doug Hoppe and Peter Hoppe; grandparents Joe and Lois Sabaloni of Bakersfield; aunts and uncles, Steve and Sue Sabaloni, of Bakersfield, Patti and Hal Moore of San Jose and Janine and Ray Hasey of Yuba City; and nine cousins.
He was a devoted friend to countless others, and will be greatly missed by all, his family says.

Ronald J. Hill
Ronald John Hill, 43, dies
Ronald John Hill, 43, died Sunday, April 19, 1992, at his home in Healdsburg after a brief illness. He was born and raised in Napa, California, and also received his formal education there.
Mr. Hill serviced in the U.S. Army for two years, one year of that time in Vietnam. He was employed at Mare Island as a machinist for 16 years. He had recently moved to Healdsburg where he continued his employment as a machinist.
He is survived by a daughter, Tina Marie Hill of Paso Robles; his parents, Wilbur and Vivian Hill of Winters, a brother, Robert Hill of Vallejo; and numerous relatives and friends.
Honoring his request, no services were held. He was interred in Napa next to his son, who had preceded him in death in 1975.
