Daniel John Kelleher
Daniel John Kelleher, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died July 9, 2004, in Sacramento with his family by his side.
Born in Klamath Falls, July 15, 1936, he was a lifetime resident of the Klamath Basin until moving to Davis in 2003. Dan graduated from Tulelake High School and Oregon State University, where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He marriage Patricia Schwabenland in 1960. He went on to earn a Masters degree in history from the University of Oregon. For 10 years following college, he taught history, social studies and other subjects at Henley High School while also helping work the family farm and sheep operation. He then turned to full-time farming of the Tulelake land that his parents homesteaded in 1927. He served as President of the Tulelake Growers Association and on the Board of Directors of Lutheran Family Services. He also served several years in the National Guard.
Dan pursued a life-time passion for learning and education, never missing an opportunity to expand or share his wealth of knowledge. He was an active member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and spending time with his family and friends. Dan is survived by and will be greatly missed by Pat, his loving wife of 43 years, children Katherine Kelleher-McGreevy, Mary Nicholson, and John Kelleher; sons-in-law Dan McGreevy and Jeff Nicholson; grandchildren Ted, Anna and Bradley Nicholson; sisters Mary Ann Baer and Helen Pieser, as well as many close friends and relatives.
A Rosary was said on Tuesday, July 13, and a Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, July 14, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Tulelake.
Remembrances may be made to the American Lung Association or Holy Cross Catholic Church in Tulelake.
KELLEHER
Robert P. Kelleher
Robert P. Kelleher died on Jan. 27, 2000. Born on May 2, 1929, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Leah and Daniel Kelleher, he was 71.
He served for 22 years in the U.S. Air Force, was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and was NCO Airman of the Year multiple times.
He gave 22 years of service to UC Davis, retiring as assistant vice chancellor for facilities construction and maintenance.
He loved family, friends, dogs, wildlife, camping and fishing. He was an inspiration to all who knew him and even more so for those who knew him well.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Daisy Kelleher; three children, Mike Kelleher of Woodland, Pattie Kelleher of Davis and Kathy Minta of Port Townsend, Wash.; four grandchildren, Michele Tobin of Glendale, Sarah Kelleher of Woodland, Robin Kelleher of Woodland and Erin Kelleher of Woodland; and seven great-grandchildren, plus one on the way.
He also is survived by his brother, Daniel Kelleher of Dayton, Ohio; and sister, Joanne Parrish of Loveland, Colo.
A Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at Davis Funeral Chapel. A funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Monday at St. James Catholic Church.

KELLEY
Charles Mack Kelley
Charles Mack Kelley died in Woodland Memorial Hospital Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, at age 60.
Born Sept. 4, 1941, in Mexia, Texas, Mr. Kelley was the son of the late Mack and Violet Kelley. He was a resident of Yolo County for the past 50 years. He was an insurance agent for 32 years last working for George Peterson Insurance. He was a former member of the Woodland Elks Lodge No. 1299. According to his family members, "he enjoyed fishing and camping with his family and was a sports enthusiast."
Mr. Kelley is survived by his wife, Linda Kelley; son, Chris Kelley and wife Dane, all of Woodland; grandchildren, Jordan and Matthew Kelley; brother, Randy Kelley and wife Mary; and sister-in-law, Patty Amen and husband Jack, also all of Woodland.
He is also survived by his nieces, Courtney and Kaitie Kelley of Woodland and Corinne Thomson of Truckee; and nephew, Nick Amen of Davis.
Mr. Kelley was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Kelley; and niece, Jill Kelley.
A graveside service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at Monument Hill Memorial Park, Woodland.
McNary's Chapel of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.
KELLEY
Geraldine Frances Kelley
Geraldine Frances Kelley died at Stollwood Convalescent Home in Woodland on Thursday, March 9, 2006 at age 91.
Mrs. Kelley was born April 16, 1914 in Sacramento. She was a lifelong Yolo County resident. She attended Holy Rosary and Dingle schools and was a 1934 graduate of Woodland High School. She worked as a clerk for one year at the Yolo County Courthouse and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, counselor for Sub Debs, a member of Omega Nu and Woodland Pink Ladies.
Survivors include Mrs. Kelley's husband of more than 24 years, Daniel Kelley; her daughters, Carol Ann Hiltunen of Fremont; her daughter-in-law; Carol Ann Collins of Salinas; her stepson, Tom Kelley of Citrus Heights; and her grandson, Ian. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Philip Collins and her son, Robert Collins.
The family requests memorials in Mrs. Kelley's name be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
Services: Visitation is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 13 at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland. A graveside service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 14 at Monument Hill Memorial Park, 35036 County Road 22, Woodland. McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
KELLY
Elizabeth Kelly
Elizabeth 'Betty' Kelly died on Nov. 24, 1999. Born on Dec. 7, 1915, in Oakville, Iowa, she was 83.
She grew up near the Mississippi River.
She was the daughter of Fred and Grace Jamison and the eldest of nine children.
She graduated from high school in Larimore and later went to North Dakota State University at Fargo, where she met her future husband, Clarence Kelly. They marriage in 1937. Subsequently, she became a military wife and was stationed in Maine; Washington, D.C.; Ames, Iowa; and at the Hotel Del Cornado in San Diego.
In 1945, Clarence was hired as a professor of agricultural engineering at UC Davis and the couple moved to Davis with their only son, Robert Kelly. They moved to Berkeley in 1963 when Clarence became a statewide director of the agricultural experiment stations.
Clarence was with UCD until 1967 when he retired.
The couple spent two years in Washington while Clarence worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. They retired to Berkeley; Clarence died in 1976.
Betty continued to live in Berkeley until 1996 when she moved to Rossmoor in Walnut Creek. She moved to Davis earlier this year due to illness and to be closer to her family.
She was a life master in bridge and played in bridge clubs in Davis, Sacramento and Berkeley. She was a member of the University Farm Circle and Mariner's Club. She enjoyed gardening and specialized in different varieties of camellias.
She enjoyed traveling and traveled throughout the world with her husband when he spoke at conferences. She also traveled extensively after his death. In particular, she enjoyed Mexico.
She was a voracious reader and an avid crossword puzzle fan. She also enjoyed opera and attending the theater.
She was an excellent cook who enjoyed entertaining and especially cooking for her granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; two brothers, Don and Bill Jamison; and two sisters, Sue Kroell and Jean Brothers.
She is survived by her son, Robert Kelly and his wife Lee Ann; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Allison Kelly; four brothers, Johnny, Edward, Tom and Richard Jamison; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the University Covenant Church, 1715 Anderson Road, Davis.

KEMNITZ
Harold Leroy Kemnitz
Harold Leroy Kemnitz died at Woodland Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, at age 62.
Born Dec. 11, 1940, in Aberdeen, S.D., Mr. Kemnitz had been a Yolo County resident for 46 years. He worked and retired from Spreckels Sugar Company.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Wanda Kemnitz; daughters, Lori Miller and husband Ken, and Lisa Vernon and husband Kenneth; son, Thomas Kemnitz; grandchildren, Christen, Bobby, Brandon Belli and their father, Robert, all of Woodland; sister, Beverly Avina and husband Juan of Fresno; brother, Ronald Kemnitz of Hayward; and father- and mother-in-law, Rolland and Doris Stevens of Knights Landing.
The family requests memorials be directed to the charity of donor's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors of Woodland.
Services: Private funeral services for family members only will be scheduled at Monument Hill Memorial Park, Woodland.
