Robert T. Anderson
Robert T. Anderson died at his home in Woodland, Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at age 84.
Mr. Anderson was born July 14, 1920 in Emporia, Kan. to Clare and Jessie (Tracy) Anderson. He had been a Woodland resident for 59 years. He graduated from Salina High School in 1937 and then received his master's degree in business at Kansas State University. He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces from 1943 to 1945. His career began at Tracy Motors in Woodland in 1946, continuing as business manager until his retirement from Elm Ford in 1996 after 50 years of service.
Survivors include Mr. Anderson's wife of 59 years, Shirley Anderson, also of Woodland; his daughters, Anne Anderson of Greenbrae and Linda Silver and her husband Craig of Gig Harbor, Wash.; his sons, John Anderson and his wife Kathleen of Hayfork and Donald Anderson and his wife Sue of Ilwaco, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his sisters-in-law, Vi Alexander of Topeka, Kan. and Lois Chandler and her husband Jerome of Tucson, Ariz.; and his daughter-in-law, Judy Anderson of San Antonio, Texas. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert T. Anderson Jr.

Services: A celebration of Mr. Anderson's life will be scheduled at a later date. Private interment will be at Woodland Cemetery. Evergreen Funeral Service of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.
FOLSOM
Eric Eugene Folsom
Eric Eugene Folsom died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002 as a result of a fatal shooting at age 17.
Born Dec. 29, 1984, in Templeton, Eric lived in Woodland for the past three years. He participated in Home School. According to family members, "he enjoyed bike riding and video games." He was very much liked in his community.
Eric is survived by his mother, Lynnda Ramos of Woodland; father, Rick Folsom of Sacramento; sisters, Vicki Folsom of Woodland and Mary Erickson of Esparto; and brothers, Tim Day of Texas, Victor Ramos of Woodland, and Franky Ramos of Grass Valley.
He is also survived by his grandparents, Bob and Marlene Folsom of Woodland; grandmother, Mary Chapparo of Oleano; and numerous aunts; uncles; and cousins.
A vigil service is scheduled at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at McNary's Chapel, Woodland.
The funeral mass is scheduled to be said at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Woodland. Burial will be at Santa Margarita Cemetery, Santa Margarita.

FOLWICK
Nina Folwick
Nina Folwick died on Dec. 2, 1999, at Sierra Health Care. She was 89. She was born on Sept. 20, 1910, in Coffeyville, Kansas.
She came to Tonapah, Nev., at an early age. She was a resident in that area until 1984, moving to Davis to be near her daughter and family. The last three years of her life she lived at Sunshine Haven.
She is survived by her daughter, Lorraine Gassman; husband, Richard; and two grandsons, Grant Gassman and Gregory Gassman.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at The Davis Funeral Chapel. A remembrance service will begin at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place in Tonapah, Nev., on Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Central Nevada Historical Society, c/o Tonapah Museum, Tonapah, NV, 89049; or to the charity of donor's choice.
FONG
Donald Shuy Fong
Donald Shuy Fong died at Alderson Convalescent Hospital in Woodland Thursday, Aug. 4, 2005 at age 87.
Mr. Fong was born Oct. 25, 1917 in Vacaville to the late Fong Quong Pin and Fong Gee See. He had been a Yolo County resident for most of his life. He graduated from UC Davis in 1942 with a degree in truck farming. After graduation, he farmed on leased land and later bought his own farm along Cache Creek, which he worked for more than 40 years before retiring.
Survivors include Mr. Fong's wife, Susan Cheng Fong; his daughter, Margaret Fong and her husband Rex Dufour; his sons, Clifford Fong and his wife Jennifer and Michael Fong; his granddaughters, Zoe and Kasey Dufour, all of Woodland; his sisters, Dorothy, Ruth, Betty and Charlotte; his brother, Oung Fong and his wife Rose of Woodland and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Anne Fong Lew, Alice Fong Lee and his brother, Tung Shuy Fong.
The family requests memorials in Mr. Fong's name be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.

FONG
Luke Fong
Luke Fong passed away peacefully at his Woodland home on Wednesday, May 21, 2003 after an extended illness, at the age of 72. He was born in Toi Shan, Kwangtung, China on Feb. 21, 1931. Mr. Fong was a resident of Yolo County for 57 years.
After attending schools in Woodland, Mr. Fong began working in the restaurant business. Then in January 1953, he enlisted in the United States Army and trained at Ft. Ord, Ca. He was assigned to the US Army's 8th Calvary as a light weapons infantryman, and served with the US forces overseas for 18 months before returning to the United States and completing his service career. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the US Army Good Conduct Medal.
Returning to Woodland, Luke continued in the restaurant business as the co-owner and manager of the Hong Kong Cafe, where he was known and respected by his many friends and customers. He continued to run the restaurant until his retirement.
His wife Rachel Fong of Woodland, and his children, Wayne Fong of Sacramento, Carol Flory of Folsom and Brenda Loera of Woodland, survive Luke. One grandson, Skyler Hill of Woodland survives Mr. Fong, as does his sister, Shun Ying Kwong, of San Francisco and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation and viewing is scheduled for Thursday, May 29, 2003, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Kraft Bros. Chapel, 175 Second St., Woodland, Ca. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. Private interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations in his memory be made to the American Cancer Society, 1765 Challenge Way, Sacramento 95815.

Moira T. Fonseca
A funeral for Moira T. Fonseca will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at Wiscombe’s Davis Funeral Chapel, 116 D St. in downtown Davis. She died April 13, 2006, in Davis at the age of 41.
She was a native of California.
She is survived by her husband, Huey Allen of Davis; her father, James Fonseca of Davis; her children, Onana Wyatt of Davis, Evan Wyatt of Davis and Noe Reyes Jr. of San Rafael; her brothers, Mike Corbin of Sacramento, Padtric Fonseca of Dixon, Hugh Fonseca of Davis, Don Fonseca of Sacramento and Eric Gruamer of Davis; and sisters, Erin Gruamer of Dallas and Amy Gruamer of North Carolina.
FORBES
James Norman Forbes (1st of 2 obits.)
James Norman Forbes, born May 8, 1934, passed away at his home, surrounded by loved ones on July 9, 2005. He was 71 years old, born in Victoria, B.C., Canada and moved to Oregon and attended the University of Oregon, where he excelled in baseball and earned his B.A. degree in business. He worked in retail until he retired in 1997.
Norman is preceded in death by his father, Norman Forbes, and his mother, May Forbes.
He is survived by his loving wife, Faye, of 35 years. Also three children from a previous marriage: Susan Forbes, Norman Forbes and Stephen Forbes; four stepchildren: Brenda Wilder and husband Rick of Woodland, Dwayne Ellis and wife Donna of Manteca, Keith Ellis and wife Kim of Willits and Penny Eastburn of Manteca.
Seven grandchildren: Tania Guilfoil and husband Matthew of Woodland, Shannon White and husband Dennis of Woodland, Garlin Brady of Woodland, Kirk Ellis of Modesto, Daniel Gandall of Oahu, Hawaii, Tyler Eastburn of Modesto and Kaitlyn Eastburn of Modesto; Seven great-grandchildren: Cole White, Amanda Brunson, Ashlee White, Ryan White, Jason White and Steven Guilfoil, all of Woodland and Taylor Ellis of Willits.
Norman had a passion for golf and built his own set of clubs and several clubs for friends and relatives.
A graveside service will be held at Monument Hill Memorial Park Thursday, July 14 at 10 a.m. Rev. Erinn J.C. Melby will officiate at the service. Rev. Melby is a chaplain and counselor for Yolo Hospice. McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
