Salvador 'Sal' Monreal Salazar
Salvador "Sal" Monreal Salazar died in Woodland Memorial Hospital Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at age 63.
Born Sept. 11, 1938, in San Jose, Mr. Salazar was the son of the late Jesus and Frances Salazar. He worked as a farm laborer around Dixon and Woodland area many years ago. He also worked as a gardener/landscaper for Valley Gardens when they were in business. Before his illness he was last employed by Sizzler Restaurant. According to his family members, "he enjoyed gardening, country music and dancing at the old "Past Time Club" with his wife. He also loved to make salsa for the family."
Mr. Salazar is survived by his wife of 24 years, Toni Salazar; stepchildren, Mike Heath and wife Karen, Diana Bueno and husband Al, Mark Heath and wife Patty, all of Woodland and Gaylene Heath of Sacramento; mother-in-law, Antonia Mendoza of Woodland; brothers-in-law, Gilbert Barrios of Woodland, Ramon Mendoza and wife Rosalie of Temecula, and Mike Mena and wife Shirley of El Cajon; and sister-in-law, Ysabel Flores and husband Frank, all of Woodland.
He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren; numerous nieces; nephews and great-nephews.
Mr. Salazar was preceded in death by his brother, Jesse Salazar.
Friends are invited to attend the memorial service from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at the Summertree Apartments, 601 Community Lane in the club house.

SALDAŅA
Jose Martinez Saldaņa
Jose Martinez Saldaņa passed away on Nov. 14, 2004, at Sutter Davis Hospital following a brief battle with cancer. Born on Nov. 16, 1930, in Calatayud, Zaragoza, Aragon, Spain, he was 73 years old.
Mr. Saldaņa who was retired for many years, was a member of Club Iberico de Espaņa. He loved all animals, especially birds; enjoyed walking, doing Spanish crossword puzzles that were sent to him by a friend from Spain, going to yard sales, watching Spanish television programs and especially playing dominoes and spending time with his wife, Janice Juanita Martinez, who took care of him for many years with the help of Yolo Hospice.
Jose was very proud of being an American resident, since moving to the area with his wife in 2000. He always held his homeland of Spain close to his heart also.
Jose had marriage for the first time at the age of 65 years old to his wife, Janice. He is also survived by his stepsons, Vincent Arovala, of San Francisco, Steven Derby, of Stockton and Michael Derby and his step daughter-in-law Autumn Derby, of Harriman, New York; also by his brother-in-law Harold Pasour; nieces Helena Lassiter and her husband Jerry Lassiter, Brandy and Cale Lassiter, Marie Graham and great niece, Madison Graham, all of Dallas and North Carolina and many friends in Zaragoza, Spain.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, Nov. 17, from 6-8 p.m. at McCune Garden Chapel, in Vacaville. Services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 18, at 10 a.m. at McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville.
Contributions are preferred to Yolo Hospice and the American Cancer Society.
PENNER
Kenneth D. Penner
Kenneth Dale Penner died in the Woodland Memorial Hospital Oct. 21, 2001, at the age of 57. He was born Feb. 21, 1944, in Woodland to Frieda (Penner) Lynch and the late Edwin Penner.
He was a lifelong resident of Yolo County. He graduated from Davis High School in 1961. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, from 1964 to 1968.
He was employed by Pacific Gas & Electric for 32 years, and received the Don Britton Award for Lifesaving from PG&E for reviving a man on the golf course who was having a heart attack.
He was an avid golfer and was a member and director of the Teal Bend Golf Club. He also served as an Northern California Golf Association official. He loved people and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Elise Penner of Woodland, his daughter Stephanie Penner and her fiance Daniel of Woodland, and his brother Don Penner of Quincy. He was preceded in death by his father Edwin Penner in 1968 and his brother Floyd Penner.
A memorial service is scheduled for Friday at 11 a.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ, 434 Cleveland, Woodland.
The family would prefer memorial contributions be directed to the American Heart Association.

PERDON
Audrey Mae Perdon
Audrey Mae Perdon died in Las Vegas Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005 at age 77.
Mrs. Perdon was born May 27, 1927 in Minneapolis. She had been a Yolo County resident for 25 years. She was retired.
Survivors include her daughters, Winona Casity, Netta Crago, Willie Perdon, Lola Perdon and Wendy Fabela; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and her sisters, Barbara and Catherine. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Frank Perdon.
Donations in Mrs. Perdon's name may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
Services: Services were held Jan. 14 in Boulder City, Nev.
PERDUE
Ron Perdue, Sr.
Ron Perdue Sr. died peacefully at home April 12, 2005. He was 70 years old.
Born Feb. 13, 1935, in Illinois, he was a professional baker and video store owner.
His family says he was loved by everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra.
He is survived by his parents, Judy and Neil Barrett of Oregon; his son, Ron Perdue Jr. of Davis; his granddaughter, Rhonda Perdue of Arizona; and his stepsons, Mike, Charlie and Richard Owen.
He is further survived by his cousin, Jack Dann.
PEREZ
Chris Perez
Chris Perez passed away on Sept. 12, 2003, in Winters. Born to Chris and Rosa Perez on Aug. 27, 1911 in Spain, he was 82 years old. He immigrated to Vacaville in 1919 at the age of 8. He grew up and attended school in Vacaville.
He later met and marriage Dolores Ruiz in October 1931. They later moved to Vallejo. He worked at Mare Island and Travis Air Force Base. He was proud to say he was only out of work for one day in his entire working career. He retired in 1971. After the loss of his wife Dolores and daughter, Nancy, he found love and happiness with Mary Molina, of Winters. He lived in Winters until his death, where he was surrounded by the love, support and care of his step-daughter Gloria, and her husband Loryn Warren, their children and grandchildren.
Chris was a volunteer for the city of Winters driving senior citizens to appointments for 10 years, retiring at age 80.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Mary; brother Tony Perez of Fairfax; grandchildren Donald Gary O'Connor and Jim O'Connor of Vallejo, Lynn Rudolph of Benicia, Cerise O'Connor of Crockett, Dennis Dow of Pleasanton, Douglas Dow of Concord and Rachelle O'Connor of Napa; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
His wife Dolores preceded him in death, as well as daughters Nancy Dow and Rose Marie O'Connor, brother Michael Perez and sister Isabel Ramos.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Skyview Memorial Chapel in Vallejo.
Memorials may be made in his name to the Winters Healthcare Foundation or Yolo Hospice.
PERROU
Anthony "Aidan" Perrou
Memorial services for Anthony "Aidan" Perrou of Orangevale will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006 at 10 a.m. at the Carmichael Presbyterian Church in Carmichael. Born Sept. 16, 2002 in south Sacramento, Aidan passed away in Potter Valley on Friday, Jan. 13, 2006 in an auto accident.
Aidan is survived by his parents Scott and Anissa Perrou of Orangevale, sister Alisa Perrou of Orangevale, grandparents Anthony and Glenda Perrou of Fair Oaks, Keith and Christine Williams of Dunnigan, great-grandparents Ward and Doreen Frye of Imperial Beach, great-grandmother Juanita Dewey of Minneapolis and by his aunts and uncles Garth Williams and Kathy Hanke-Williams, Seth Williams, Micol and Shonica Perrou and Angela Perrou and fiance Kevin Rice.
"We will miss his smile and enthusiasm for life."
A memorial fund in Aidan's name has been set up to help defer medical and funeral expenses. Contributions may be sent to School's Financial Credit Union, 6000 Main Ave., Orangevale, 95662.
