ROSS

Steven Carter Ross

Steven Carter Ross passed away at his Woodland home, on June 30th, 2003, surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was 34 years old. He was born in Arlington, Texas on October 24th, 1968 to James and Elizabeth (Smith) Ross. His mother predeceases him. Mr. Ross was a Yolo County resident for the past 11 years.

Steven served with the United States Coast Guard for six years and then, began working for a commercial paint supplier as a sales representative. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Woodland, and an avid golfer. He was also a basketball coach for the Woodland YMCA.

Mr. Ross is survived by his wife, Cynthia Hill Ross, his son, Carter Ross, and his stepchildren, Jocelyn, Susan and Brett Miramontes, all of Woodland. Also surviving are his father, James Ross and wife Mary, of Graham, Texas, his sister, Staci Lloyd and husband Mike of Arlington, Texas, two step-sisters, Sharon Cantrell of Arlington, Texas and Karen Dies and husband Tommy, of Graham, Texas, and his grandfather, G.C. Hanna, of Graham, Texas; his parents-in-law, Leon Hill and wife Nancy of Guinda, sister-in-law Debra Amundson and husband John of Woodland, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, July 3rd, 2003, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 625 W. Gibson Road, Woodland, Ca., with Reverend Hank Scherer officiating. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. Interment will follow immediately at Monument Hill Memorial Park, 35036 Co. Rd. 22, Woodland, Ca.

In lieu of flowers and in memory of Mr. Ross, the family request memorial contribution be made to the Carter Ross Education Fund, in care of Wells Fargo Bank, 444 Court St., Woodland, Ca. 95695. Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.

ROSSI

Delfino Paul Rossi

Delfino Paul Rossi died at Stollwood Convalescent Hospital in Woodland on Monday, Oct. 13, 2003 at age 88.

Born on March 4, 1915 in Ventura, Mr. Rossi attended school in Ventura. Mr. Rossi was involved with the Shriners and the Masons.

Mr. Rossi is survived by his daughter Sharon Rossi, of Grass Valley, grandchildren Craig Polete, Joel Polete and Marisa Polete, all of Woodland; great-grandchildren Riley Polete of Woodland and Ryan Polete of Lodi.

He is also survived by a brother Jimmie Fistolera, of Tracy; nephews Allen Fistolera, Larry Fistolera and Stephen Fistolera; nieces Geraldine Marran of Los Angeles, Cynthia Stanley of Michigan and Janice Fistolera of Tracy.

Mr. Rossi was preceded in death by his wife Helen Harmon Rossi, his sister Genevieve Marron and his former wife Edna Suttle Rominger. McNary's Funeral Home of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.

Services: A graveside service has been scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2003 at Monument Hill.

ROTH

Edmund Joseph Roth, III

Edmund Joseph Roth III of Woodland died at Sutter Davis Hospital on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at age 45.

Eddie was born Feb. 4, 1961 in Alameda. He had been a Yolo County resident for 33 years. He attended Holy Rosary and Woodland High schools. He was also a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Eddie enjoyed movies, music, playing the guitar, playing video games with his son and nephews and cooking with his mom. He was an excellent carpenter and enjoyed working with his hands. His friends and family also knew he was a very compassionate and caring person. He had such a great personality, a zest for life and would help you see the brighter side of any situation.

Survivors include Eddie's son, Edmund Joseph Roth IV and his mother Tess Anthony Lopez; his parents, Joan (Thomas) and Edmund Joseph Roth Jr.; his sister, Joan T. Angelone and her husband Dominic; and his nephews, Blaze and Joey Van Dine and Sean P. Angelone. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Rose (Gerety) and Edmund J. Roth Sr. and Marcela and Jordan Clarence Thomas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to a Memorial Trust for Ed Roth, c/o Yolo Federal Credit Union, 226 W. Main, Woodland, 95695.

Services: Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 15 at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 16 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 301 Walnut St., Woodland with Father Terry Fulton officiating. Interment will be at Monument Hill Memorial Park. McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Edmund Joseph Roth, III (2nd of 2 obits.)

Edmund Joseph Roth III of Woodland died at Sutter Davis Hospital on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at age 45.

ROTHCHILD

James Tyrel "Jimmy" Rothchild

James Tyrel "Jimmy" Rothchild, aged 20, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004 doing what he loved the most riding his Kawasaki 2000 motorcycle.

Born in Grass Valley Feb. 10, 1984, raised and educated in Woodland, Jim recently moved to Yuba City with his family and was working as a carpenter.

The first-born son of James and Rosellen Rothchild, Jimmy is survived by his parents, his brothers, Michael, 19, of Woodland and Loren, 14, and his sister, Tara, 14.

His siblings will tell you he took very seriously his role as big brother and often helped with homework and directed the young ones in their chores. Tara adored and respected her brother. She loved how he gave her and her friends money for the mall. For Loren, Jim was his idol and they had made many future plans together. Jimmy shared his love for bikes with his entire family and taught Loren, Tara and mom how to ride a dirt bike. Dad and Jim were best buddies, spending many hours together in the garage working on motorcycles. Mike and Jimmy were only 16 months apart and though they were different and special, they were inseparable. What one didn't think of, the other did.

Also mourning Jimmy's loss are both sets of grandparents, Loren and Nona Rothchild of Auburn and Lawrence and Ilene Kibel of Santa Ana and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Jimmy touched everyone he knew and in honor of this, his family will be holding a viewing at Holycross Memorial Services, 486 Bridge St., Yuba City, from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 4 followed by a celebration of Jim's life at the Plaza Room (at Hillcrest Plaza) 210 Julia Dr., Yuba City from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4. Bring pictures and memories to share. Holycross Memorial Services of Yuba City is assisting the family with arrangements.

ROTHE

A. Ramona Rothe

A. Ramona Rothe died suddenly following a short battle with cancer on Oct. 25, 2005. She was 77.

A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at Davis Community Church, 412 C St. in Davis.

Born on Nov. 25, 1927, in Texas, she marriage Courtney W. Rothe. She was employed for 40 years as a word processing supervisor with Safeway. Most recently she had been working as a receptionist at Covell Gardens.

She was active in the Davis Community Church and also with the Davis Senior Center where she was a member of the Nostalgics singing group. She was also involved with the Friday afternoon dance group at the Senior Center.

Her family said she loved driving all over the state of California. She also enjoyed dancing and was an extremely energetic person.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Courtney Rothe, who died on May 20, 1998.

She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Kilpatrick of Woodland; her children, Patricia Lennert and her husband Don of Lavon, Texas; Pamela Lynch and her husband Don of Plains, Mont.; and Jill Johnson and her husband Loren of Davis.

She is further survived by her grandchildren, Courtney Rippee, Logan Rippee, Allison Johnson, Jeanette Fechner, Briand Fechner, and Kristin Lake and her husband Dan; four great-grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the many friends from the Davis Senior Center and the Davis Community Church for their selfless acts of service in assisting Ramona during her brief battle with cancer.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Davis Community Church or the Davis Senior Center.

ROTTMILLER

Martin Henry Rottmiller

Martin Henry Rottmiller died at Alderson Convalescent Hospital Wednesday, March 15 at age 91.

Mr. Rottmiller was born April 25, 1914 in Sylvan Grove, Kan. He worked as a mechanic or machinist in Kansas, Texas, Arizona, South Dakota and California.

Survivors include Mr. Rottmiller's daughter, Myrletta Downes, her husband Willard and her family of West Sacramento; his sons, Michael Rottmiller of Woodland; Frederick Rottmiller of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Edmund Rottmiller and his family of Canada. He was preceded in death by his wives, Myrtle (Wendt) Rottmiller and Mary (Hussey) Rottmiller.

The family requests memorials in Mr. Rottmiller's name be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.

Services: A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, March 24 at Kraft Bros. Chapel, 175 Second St., Woodland with Pastor Elmer Prout officiating. Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors is assisting the family with arrangements.

ROUNSVILLE

Alvin Harvey Rounsville

Alvin Harvey Rounsville, 68, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 1999, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Memorial services were held at 1 p.m. at Coffelt’s Moon Chapel in Sandpoint.

Mr. Rounsville was born on March 31, 1931, in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, the son of Harvey and Lillian (Rand) Rounsville. At the age of 3, he moved with his family to the Hope/Clark Fork, Idaho area. He joined the U.S. Army in 1948, when he was 17 years old, and served during the Korean Conflict and Viet Nam War. He worked as an equipment repairman, maintaining the radio lines to the front line forces.

After his retirement, with 21 years of military service, he moved to Winters, where he worked for the U.S. Postal Service.

Mr. Rounsville moved to Spokane, Washington, in 1978. He spent a few years living in Tory, Montana before moving to Clark Fork in 1997. He enjoyed church, his family and was an avid reader. He enjoyed going to the Clark Fork Senior Center to play cards, liked people a lot and enjoyed visiting with them.

Al is survived by three daughters, Julie Russell of Woodland, Brenda Radulovich and Laurie Lane, both of Winters; nine grandchildren; five brothers, Harold Rounsville of Clark Fork; Charley Rounsville of Dickerson, North Dakota; Jim Rounsville of Bremerton, Washington; George Rounsville of Post Falls, and Dale Rounsville of Spokane, Washington; six sisters, Charlotte Stangle of Salem, Oregon; Minnie Erickson of Landers, Wyoming; Lillian Pugh of Spirit Lake, Idaho; Betty Gibson of Athol, Idaho; Laverna Lee and Doris Wells, both of Spokane; numerous nieces and nephews.
