Vern Arthur Peterson
Vern Arthur Peterson died at Sutter Roseville Medical Center Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, at age 86.
Born Jan. 9, 1917, in Ogden, Iowa, Mr. Peterson had been a Yolo County resident for 26 years. He was the son of the late William Edgar and Elsie (Steen) Peterson. He worked as assistant manager in Property Management for 10 years. He retired from the railroad in Iowa.
Survivors include his children, Sandra Ottarson, Richard and Kathy Peterson, all of Woodland, Richard and JoAnn Gray of Lincoln, Charles Peterson of Woodland and Brian and Debbie Eads of Littleton, Colo.; grandchildren, Robert and Effie Craig, Adryanna Ottarson, John and Stachia Krug, Mike and Jerry Sue Smith, Les and Denise Robinson, Max and Sandy Craig, John and Teresa Peterson, James and Alisa Peterson, Jeff Peterson, Dee Jay Perry, all of Woodland, Joe and Tina Kelly of Lincoln, Larry and Regina Liggons of Clarkton, Mo., Bobbie Eads, and Brian Eads Jr. (Barney) of Littleton, Colo.; 32 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Neptune Society of Northern California.
Services: None are scheduled at this time.
PETRAKOS
Chris John Petrakos
Chris John Petrakos died in Roseville Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002, at age 52.
Born Feb. 17, 1950, in Sacramento, Mr. Petrakos was a longtime resident of Sacramento. He was a resident of Roseville at the time of his death. He graduated from Christian Brothers High School in Sacramento. While attending Sacramento City College, he was a Student Body President. He worked for Governor Ronald Reagan, and was a 30 year lobbyist for the Manufactured Housing and School Facilities Industries in Sacramento and recently in Florida. He was a retired captain of the California National Guard Reserves after 20 years of service. According to his family members, "he was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman."
Mr. Petrakos is survived by his wife, Jennifer Stettner-Petrakos of Sacramento; son, Jonathan Petrakos; and daughter, Stephanie Petrakos of Sacramento.
He is also survived by his uncles, James Kareofelas and wife Delores of Knights Landing and Gus Petrakos and wife Lillian of Sacramento; aunts, Georgia Scribner and Necke Kareofelas of Woodland and Demetra Andronico of Kensington; and numerous cousins and in-laws.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Panagiota Petrakos.
Visitation is scheduled from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7 at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd., with a Trisagion service at 7:30 p.m. at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, Alhambra and F St., Sacramento.
A funeral service is scheduled at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, also at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, Alhambra and F St. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery.
The family requests memorials be directed to Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, Sacramento; or the charity of the donor's choice.

PETTIT
Kayla Allyce Pettit
Kayla Allyce Pettit died in UC Davis Medical Center Monday, March 3, 2003, at age 8.
Born Aug. 17, 1994, in Woodland, Kayla Allyce had been a lifelong resident of Yolo County. She attended Plainfield Elementary School. She was a member of Woodland United Fellowship, and a participant in 2002 in ACT Games.
Survivors include her father, Michael Lance Pettit of Fort Bragg; mother, Kimberly Christine Smith of Knights Landing; stepfather, James Richard Smith Sr.; stepmother, Kimberly Anne Parker, both of Knights Landing; siblings, Norman, Angela, James Jr., and Jessica; grandparents, Roger and Carol Odom and Jim and LaVell Pettit, all of Woodland.
The family requests memorials be directed to Orthopedically Handicapped Class, c/o Plainfield School, 20450 County Road 97, Woodland, 95695, in her behalf.
A memorial service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2003, at Woodland United Fellowship, 240 North West St., Woodland.

PEYTON
Helen M. Peyton
Helen M. Peyton died in her Woodland home surrounded by her family, at age 87.
Born Jan. 3, 1915, in Leadhill, Ark., Mrs. Peyton was the daughter of Eugene and Minnie Fain. She and her family moved to California in 1937, first settling in the Chico area and later moving to Sutter Basin, where she lived until 1948 before moving to Woodland. She was the owner/manager of the Court Cafe, which still stands on East Street. She worked at the Fashion for many years and later became one of the first women Real Estate Agents in Woodland. According to her family members, "she loved her family and home."
Mrs. Peyton is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert B. Peyton; children, Lewis D. Patterson of Oroville, Joyce Hunter of Woodland, Rex Patterson and wife Joni of Loma Rica, Beverly Harris of Woodland, and stepchildren, Judy Leddy, Beverly Bailey, and Barbara Peyton; grandchildren, Robert L. Campbell, Carla E. Coulter, Cindy M. Todd, Ronald J. Patterson, Teri Silva, Larry Fitzgerald, Darren Fitzgerald, Tim Stumpf, Danielle Alarcon, Gay Lynn Duncan, Kimberly Patterson, Lisa Gray, Mark Soga, Jim Leddy and Sterling Bailey; 28 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by his sisters, Phyllis J. Gabler, and Dora M. Bell; and brother, John C. Fain.
Mrs. Peyton was preceded in death by her sister, Audrey Fain; and brothers, Nicholas Homer, Jack, Fred and Paul Fain.
A graveside service is scheduled at 2 p.m. today Friday, Feb. 1, 2002 at Monument Hill Memorial Park, Woodland.

INGERSOLL
Jacqueline Ingersoll
Jacqueline Ingersoll died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, at Kaiser Hospital in Sacramento. Born May 23, 1931, in San Jose, she was 69.
She had been a resident of Woodland for the past 30 years. She was a homemaker, a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and was also a teacher's aid in the Woodland Joint Unified School District.
She is survived by her husband, Paul N. Ingersoll of Woodland; daughters Tina M. Nichols, of West Lynn, Ore., and Shirley W. Williams of Woodland; sons Steven R. Ingersoll of Atascadero, Kenneth D. Ingersoll of Woodland and Robert Ingersoll of San Francisco. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Monument Hill Memorial Park.
INGRAHAM
Marjorie Frances Mitchell Ingraham
Marjorie Mitchell Ingraham (née Marjorie Frances Mitchell) died at her home in Fair Oaks, California on July, 20, 2005 after having suffered a series of strokes. She was born in Calexico, California on March 15, 1923, attended school in Los Angeles, worked as a draftsman/engineer building mine sweeps during WWII, and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1948. She lived with her husband in Winters in the dome house at the end of Holmes Lane from 1981 to 1995.
She is survived by her husband (John Ingraham of Fair Oaks), her daughter and son-in-law (Catherine and Thomas Vigran of Fair Oaks), her son and daughter-in-law (Thomas and Luanne Ingraham of Fort Collins, Colorado) and six grandchildren (Anna Vigran, Lisa Vigran, Dana Vigran, Ian Ingraham, Elena Ingraham, and John Ingraham).
A memorial service will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Davis, 27074 Patwin Road, on September 24 at 1:30 p.m. All are welcome.
INGRAHAM
Marie Ingraham
Marie Ingraham died April 29, 2000, in Davis. Born June 3, 1914, in Missouri, she was 85.
She came to Davis in 1958, previously living in Berkeley for 10 years. Before Berkeley, she lived in Los Angeles, where she worked in a medical office.
She was a Sierra Club member who enjoyed hiking and backpacking.
Ingraham graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln during the Depression.
From 1963 to 1972, she worked at UC Davis as a secretary in the history department. From 1972 to 1984, she worked as an administrative assistant for Interdepartmental Programs. She was active in the Short Term Emergency Aid Committee, Citizens Who Care and the Alliance for the Mentally Ill.
Late in life, she took flute lessons and played with a small group of friends, the Davis Community Orchestra and a group at Sacramento City College. She was a strong and courageous woman who, even late in life, drove to Oregon to visit friends.
She is survived by her son, Neil of Washington, D.C.; daughter, Christina of Falls City, Ore.; granddaughter, Morada of Washington, D.C.; and grandson, Carlin of Falls City, Ore.
No memorial services are planned.
