Norma Ione Benberg Jones
After a brief illness, Norma Ione Benberg Jones died July 7, 2001, at home, surrounded by her family. Born in Storm Lake, Iowa, on Nov. 14, 1921, she was 79.
She is survived by two children, Pamela Jones of Bozeman, Mont., and Paul Jones of Davis, and their spouses; seven grandchildren, Susan and Tommy Jones, Sara James, Deanteete Danielson, all of Davis; Stacey Daigle Clark of Albuquerque, N.M.; Sadie James of Bozeman, and Debby Ingram of Ukiah.
She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, a great-granddaughter; two brothers, Fritz Benberg of Storm Lake and Herbert Benberg Jr. of Springtown, Tex., and a sister, Eileen Jones of Fair Oaks.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Marshall Jones; her daughter, Peggy Pope Dearduff; grandson, Doug Pope; brother, Bob Benberg; twin sister, Neva Davis and grandson, Bobby Jones.
He was known for her love of friends, life, garage sales and keeping her extended family from all over the United States in contact on a daily basis. She and her large green station wagon were well known by all of the thrift stores in the area.
At her request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society, Yolo Hospice or the charity of the donor's choice.
JONES
Paul Jones
Paul Jones died March 5, 2004, at Sutter Davis Hospital. He was 45.
Born Nov. 26, 1958, in Sacramento, he was retired and had lived in Davis for five years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Stewart and brothers Isaac, Herman, James and Timothy Jones.
He is survived by his mother, Samantha Haynes-Harris; brother Mark Harris; sisters, Kathy Jones and Marry Harris; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The Yolo County public administrator's office and North Sacramento Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements. The ashes of the deceased will be returned to his family.
JONES
Robert C. Jones
Robert C. 'Bob' Jones died on June 17, 2000, in a motorcycle accident. He was 38.
He grew up in Sonoma and graduated from Sonoma High School in 1979.
He was the loving father of Jessica and Dylan Jones of Suisun. He is also survived by his parents, Robert and Elaine Jones of Sonoma; his brother, Steve Jones of Sonoma; his fiancee, Melissa Moulton of Davis; his first wife and mother of Jessica and Dylan, Phyllis Cloutier-Jones of Suisun; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
He had worked at the Shell Oil refinery in Martinez for the past 10 years and had recently moved to Davis. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Friends are invited to attend a Catholic Blessing Service at 7 p.m. Thursday at Duggan's Mission Chapel, 525 W. Napa St. in Sonoma. Cremation services are under the direction of Duggan's Mission Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a trust fund for Jessica and Dylan. Contributions may be made to the attention of Jessica and Dylan Jones Trust Fund at Travis Federal Credit Union, P.O. Box 2069, Vacaville, CA 95696-2069.
JORDAN
Clifford Charles Jordan
Clifford Charles Jordan died at his home in Esparto, Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004 at age 80.
Mr. Jordan was born June 2, 1924 in Leadhill, Ark. He had been a Yolo County resident for 42 years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946. He had worked as a welder and was employed by Heidrick Farms for 30 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Yuba City.
Survivors include Mr. Jordan's wife, Beverly, also of Esparto; his daughter, Ellen English and her husband Arthur of Esparto; his sons, Roy Jordan and his wife Carol of Fairland, Okla. and Keith Jordan and his wife Linda of Rathdrum, Idaho; his stepsons, Jack Cooper and his wife Darcie of Everett, Wash., Joel Cooper and his wife Nancy and Jeff Cooper and his wife Shirley all of Woodland and Jamie Cooper and his wife Michael of Marysville; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren and his sisters, Shirley Weaver and Thursia Marston both of Oklahoma City, Okla., Selva Weeks, Elva Cruthers and Flossie Schaffer all of Prague, Okla., and Johnnie Ingstrom of Protem, Mo. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Oleta.
Services: Graveside services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10 at Colusa Cemetery. McNary's Chapel of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.
JORGENSEN
Susan Diane Jorgensen
Susan Diane Jorgensen died Nov. 15, 2005, at her home in Esparto. A 42-year resident of Yolo County, she was 64.
Born on May 26, 1941, to John and Dorothy Kilburn in Glendale, she grew up in Temple City and received her bachelor's degree from Cal State Los Angeles.
In 1959, she met Larry Jorgensen in Hawaii. They marriage in 1964 and were happy for 42 years.
She was employed at UC Davis for 26 years before retiring, having spent that time in the Graduate Division. After retiring, she was active with the Friends of the Esparto Library and the Sacramento Zoo. Books and animals were two of her loves, along with her flowers.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Jorgensen of Esparto; nephew, Nathan Hood and family of Tucson, Ariz., and numerous nieces and nephews in California.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Hood, of Sedona, Ariz.
At her request there will be no services. Anyone wishing to honor her memory may donate to the Friends of the Esparto Library, P.O. Box 787, Esparto, CA, 95627, or to the Sacramento Zoological Society, 3930 West Land Park Drive, Sacramento, CA, 95822-1123.

MOE
Elizabethann Moe
Elizabethann Moe died at U.C. Davis Medical Center Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004 at age 43.
Mrs. Moe was born Jan. 29, 1961 in Los Angeles. She had been a Yolo County resident for 18 years. She worked as a special education instructional aide at Lee Junior High School and also played clarinet with the Yolo County Concert Band. Survivors include Mrs. Moe's husband, Don and her sons, Daryl and David, all of Woodland; her parents, Al and Barbara Bellini of Silverdale, Wash.; her sister, Denise Rodd of Scotts Valley and her brother, Dan Bellini.
The family requests memorials in Mrs. Moe's name be directed to the American Lupus Foundation.
Services: A vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21 at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 301 Walnut St., Woodland. Interment will follow the service at Monument Hill Memorial Park. McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
ZAHARA
Nina Mae Zahara
Born Nov. 25, 1920, in Bastrop, Texas, she was a registered nurse during World War II. She worked at Woodland Clinic for a few years then moved to the UC Davis Student Health Center, where she worked for more than 40 years.
She did volunteer work for free clinics, was an active member of University Farm Circle and a PTA president for East Davis School. She belonged to various bridge groups, decorated many cakes, enjoyed sewing and did tole painting.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Mike Zahara; daughter, Mary Zahara of Chico; grandchildren, Michael Troth of Sacramento and Kimberly Mahan of Washington; and great-grandchildren, Calvin Mahan of Washington and Brittany Mahan of Chico.
A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at 831 L St. in Davis.
