Jose Cintas Molina
Jose Cintas Molina of Winters passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002 at Sutter West Hospital in Davis. Born on Sept. 20, 1921 in El Pilar de Lubrin, Spain to Francisco Cintas Ramos and Juana Molina Ramos, he was 80 years old.
Mr. Molina came to Yolo County in 1954. He retired after working 23 years for the Basic Company in Vacaville. His favorite pastime was fishing, a hobby he thoroughly enjoyed. He also enjoyed working in his garden. He was a very kind and loving person, and will be missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Isabel, and daughter, Juanita, both of Winters. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews residing in Spain. He was preceded in death by his son, Diego, and sister, Juana Cintas Riquena.
A Rosary was held on Thursday, Feb. 14, at 7 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, Feb. 15. Burial followed at the Winters cemetery.
MOLLER
Audrey K. Moller
Audrey K. Moller died in Woodland Memorial Hospital Saturday, June 29, 2002, at age 81.
Born March 24, 1921, in Canada, Mrs. Moller had been a 44-year Woodland resident. She was the daughter of the late Alvin and Hazel Klaffke. She was a homemaker all of her adult life. She lived in the Courtside Towers senior complex for the past 3 1/2 years and, according to her family, "enjoyed the activities there such as Bingo and trips to Reno, as well as gardening. She most enjoyed her time at the Indian casinos."
Mrs. Moller is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Riley of Woodland, Marilyn Leonard of Ridgecrest, and Jennine Jessee of Citrus Heights; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are her sisters, Marty Dempsey of Boise, Idaho, and Ruth Wiese of Templeton; and brothers, Charles Klaffke of Downey, and Ben Klaffke of Sacramento.
A memorial service is scheduled at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 20, in Monument Hill Memorial Park.
McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
MONACO
John Anthony "Jack" Monaco
John "Jack" Anthony Monaco of West Sacramento died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2005 at age 59.
Mr. Monaco was born Oct. 6, 1945 in Summerville, Mass. He had been a Yolo County resident for 15 years. He graduated from Butte College with a degree in alcohol and drug studies. Since 2001, he had worked at the Cache Creek Lodge as a counselor and facility manager. He also had worked as a counselor for other 12-step facilities in other communities.
Survivors include his mother, Edith Vaughn and his stepsister, Donna Barnoski, both of Massachusetts. He was preceded in death by his father, John Monaco and his stepsister, Marie Fahey.
Services: A celebration of Mr. Monaco's life is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2 at Creekside Park, 1513 Putah Creek Road, Winters. Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors is assisting the family with arrangements.
MONROE
Tom Monroe
Tom Monroe, a long-time Yolo County resident, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003 at his residence in Bandon, Ore., surrounded by his family.
Mr. Monroe was born in 1918 to Yolo County sheriff James D. Monroe and his wife Gerry (Duncan). The youngest of seven children, Mr. Monroe preferred the family ranch in Capay Valley to the family residence in Woodland, and spent all of his summers and holidays on the ranch learning to ride horses, raise cattle, and grow alfalfa.
Mr. Monroe is an alumnus of UC-Davis and UC-Berkeley where he studied agriculture and forestry. He left college in 1943 to join the Army and served as a gunnery expert in England in support of the RAF.
Upon his return to Yolo County, Mr. Monroe returned to cattle ranching and in 1950 marriage Jean Polk. Together they raised four children. Mr. Monroe is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jean Polk; and his children, Tom Monroe and wife Ginny, Cathy Stephens and husband Doug, Betsy McClure and husband Jack, and Bob Monroe, and his grandchildren, Samantha Waterman and Wyatt Stephens.
It was important to Mr. Monroe that all of his children learn how to work on a cattle ranch, and from their earliest years he taught them to ride horses, herd cattle, handle a rifle, feed hay and build fence. He is fondly known by his family as 'the last real cowboy.'
When not working, Mr. Monroe enjoyed hunting, hiking, searching for fossils, and traveling in Mexico with his family and friends. He was an active member of VFW and Elks Lodge.
Mr. Monroe will be dearly missed by all of those who had the privilege of knowing him. At his request, services will be private. Correspondence can be directed to Jean Monroe, P.O. MONTGOMERY
Brent Lamoree Montgomery
Brent Lamoree Montgomery of Winters died suddenly Tuesday, August 3, 1999 at his residence in Winters. He was 59. Mr. Montgomery was born March 27, 1940 in Sacramento, and spent all of his life in Davis until 1996 when he and his family moved to Winters. He was the son of the late John E. Montgomery and Florence L. Montgomery of Davis. He was a supervisor in the Facility Services Department of UC Davis where he began his employment in 1974. He and his wife Kay were marriage in 1962. Mr. Montgomery was extremely dedicated to his close knit family and he had many interests; the most important of those being his love for outdoor activities. He was an avid duck hunter and campaigned for waterfowl conservation. While in high school he excelled in all sports, and he was a softball and little league coach.
He is survived by his mother, Florence Montgomery, of Davis, his wife, Kay, of Winters, daughter, Kim Montgomery Hyer, of Winters, son Brent Mitchell Montgomery, of Winters, sister Joanie Lindow, of Sacramento, and three grandchildren, Justin and Tess Hyer and Colten Montgomery.
Funeral services were Friday, Aug. 6, at 11 a.m. at the Davis Funeral Chapel. Burial took place in the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

MONTGOMERY
Dorothy (Lutz) Montgomery
Dorothy (Lutz) Montgomery died in Woodland Memorial Hospital Wednesday, March 27, 2002, at age 77.
Born Aug. 1, 1924, in Chico, Mrs. Montgomery had been a Yolo County resident for the past 40 years and had worked as a medical records supervisor for Woodland Healthcare for 22 years. After retiring from the hospital, she continued to work as a secretary at Woodland Skilled Nursing Facility until recently. A past president of Woodland Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, she loved all of the outdoors and especially "keeping up with Mom's Garden, " according to family members.
Mrs. Montgomery is survived by her daughters, Sandi Galindo and husband Jesse of Woodland and Susan Erickson and husband Mark of Lafayette; and son, Scott Montgomery and wife Wanda of Woodland.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kelley, Cole and Britt Erickson, all of Lafayette, Taran Montgomery, and Ryan and Toni Galindo, also all of Woodland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Montgomery was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Montgomery, in 1996.
A prayer vigil is scheduled at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 4, at Kraft Bros. Funeral Chapel, 175 Second St., Woodland.
A funeral Mass is scheduled to be said at 10 a.m., Friday, April 5, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 301 Walnut St., Woodland, with interment to follow immediately at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Woodland.
The family requests memorials be directed to ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) Association, 2717 Cottage Way No. 15, Sacramento.

MONTGOMERY
Judy Ann Montgomery
Judy Ann Montgomery died in Bruceville Terrace Facility in Sacramento Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002, at age 55.
Born Aug. 21, 1947, in Montrose, Colo., Mrs. Montgomery was a 25 year resident of Sacramento. She was a secretary for 25 years last working for Donna Barnes. She was a member of the Capitol Christian Center.
Mrs. Montgomery is survived by her parents, Ann and Chet Lincoln of Gold River and Gerald Murray of Stockton; sisters, Janet Murray of Blue Canyon and Virginia Warnock of Ohio; and brothers, Richard Lincoln of Rancho Cordova, Tom Lincoln of Sacramento and David Lincoln of Woodland. Other survivors include two nieces and eight great-nieces.
A funeral service is scheduled at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at McNary's Chapel, with Pastor John Treherne officiating. Burial will follow at the Woodland Cemetery.
