Martha Anna Geneva Kelley Brown
Martha Anna Geneva Kelley Brown died at Alderson Convalescent Hospital in Woodland Sunday, March 20, 2005 at age 75.
Mrs. Brown was born Jan. 22, 1930 in Mountain Grove, Mo. She had been a Yolo County resident for 48 years. She attended school in Mountain Grove, Mo. She was a homemaker all her life and attended church in Madison.
Survivors include Mrs. Brown’s daughter, Sherry Cardoza and her husband Rick of Winters; her granddaughters, Victoria Lewis and her husband Adam of Plymouth, Minn. and Angela Danielson of Woodland; her sisters, Evelyn Ledford and her husband Curtis of Esparto and Hazel Parker and her husband Johnny of Mountain Grove, Mo.; her brother, Howard Kelley and his wife Harriet of Woodland and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 11 sisters and brothers.
Services: Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 29 at McNary’s Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland. A graveside service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 30 at Woodland Cemetery. McNary’s Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
STURGEON
Judy Dolores Sturgeon
Judy Dolores Sturgeon died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at age 61.
Born May 7, 1941, in Kingfisher, Okla., Mrs. Sturgeon was the youngest of 10 children of May and Bob Criner. She attended schools in Esparto and had been a resident of Pinole for the last 30 years.
Mrs. Pinole is survived by her husband, Jim Sturgeon of Pinole; and sons, Billy Biggs and wife Janice, Tommy Sturgeon and wife Tristy, all of De Quincy, La. and Jimmy Sturgeon and wife Farrah of Roseville.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Shannon, Billy, Shawna, Samantha, J.D., Taryn, Devon, Blake and Mayzie; and great-grandchildren, Madyson and Matthew.
Also surviving is her brothers, Ralph Criner of Esparto, and Robert Criner of Hendersonville, Tenn.; sisters, Esther Mayes of Kingfisher, Okla., Pauline Averre of Harrisburg, Pa., Rosy Wanshop and Vernia Bahlman of Esparto, Gracie Cobbler of Fort Scott, Kan., Mary Jane Pratt of Fairview, Okla., and Sylvia Myers of Spokane, Wash.; sister-in-law, Kathy Latak and husband Dave of El Sobrante, and Jim's cousin, Larry and Cheryl Dutton of Capay.
Mrs. Sturgeon was preceded in death by her son, Michael Biggs, in September of 2002.
A visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Oct. 9, at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland.
Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service at 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 10, at Capay Cemetery in Esparto.
The family requests memorials be directed to The Kidney Foundation; or the charity of the donor's choice.

SUBLETT
Lillian L. Sublett
Lillian L. Sublett died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, at St. John's Retirement Village where she had lived for the past several years. She was born in Estherville, Iowa on Oct. 12, 1910 to William and Grace Walker.
As a young girl Mrs. Sublett moved with her family to Medford, Ore. where she graduated from high school. In 1932 she graduated from the Stanford School of Nursing and began a nursing career that led her to become the supervisor of nurses for the Jefferson Union School District in Santa Clara.
On Mach 21, 1937 she marriage John L. Sublett and they established a home in Mountain View. In retirement they lived in Tahoe City and Grass Valley where John died in 1978. When her health began to fail she moved to St. John's Retirement Village seven years ago.
She is survived by her children, John W. Sublett of Davis, and Laura J. Sutherland of Chico; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Sublett was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Ardito, in 1997.
A memorial service is planned for Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at St. John's Retirement Village, 135 Woodland Ave., Woodland.
SUBLETT
Ronald Jack "Ronnie" Sublett, Sr.
Ronald "Ronnie" Jack Sublett Sr. died at his home in Woodland Thursday, Sept. 22, 2005 at age 67.
Mr. Sublett was born May 13, 1938 in Muskogee, Okla. to Jack and Mary (Moore) Sublett. He was a resident of Yolo County for more than 50 years. He was a 1956 graduate of Woodland High School. A U.S. Air Force veteran, Mr. Sublett served in the Korean conflict. Returning from Korea he went to work for Mobil Chemical Company, retiring after 30 years. He was a volunteer coach and referee for the Little League, Babe Ruth League baseball and various other softball teams in Woodland including the Old Timers League. He was also a member of the Mobil Chemical's golf and softball teams.
Survivors include Mr. Sublett's wife, Sandie Sublett; his daughter, Carman Stabler and her husband Paul; his sons, Ronald Jack Sublett Jr., Brett Matthew Sublett and Jeffrey Owens; his grandchildren, Michael and Christopher Stabler and Zader Naugle; his former wife, Linda Sublett-Warner of Sacramento; his father, Jack Sublett and his wife Dorothy; his sisters, Jackina Stark of Carl Junction, Mo. and Loren Blehm; and his brothers, Roger M. Sublett of San Jose and Lance Sublett of Keller, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Gould-Moore.
The family requests memorials in Mr. Sublett's name be directed to Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis, 95617.
Services: Respecting the wishes of Mr. Sublett, private family services will be held. Interment will be in Marin County. Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors is assisting the family with arrangements.
SUEN
Carol A. Suen
Carol A. Suen died of breast cancer on May 7, 2000, in Davis. She is survived by her two children, Brent and Tiffany; two brothers, George and Johnny Gee; two sisters, Frieda and Patti; and her mother, Mee Gee.
Carol was born in Houston, Texas, on Aug. 31, 1941. She attended college at the University of Texas in Austin and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She lived in Little Rock from 1962 to 1982 when she moved to Davis.
She worked at The Davis Enterprise for the past 14 years.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 5 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Davis, 38141 Russell Blvd., where Carol was a member.
Memorials are requested to go to the First Baptist Church of Davis or to the Sutter Cancer Center in Sacramento.

Kathleen Johnson Sugar
Kathleen Johnson Sugar died in Woodland Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005 at age 90.
Mrs. Sugar was born May 18, 1914 to the late Laurence and Margaret Nicholson Johnson in Hull, Yorkshire, England.
Survivors include Mrs. Sugar's daughter, Vivien of Houston; her son, Peter of Rio Linda; her sisters-in-law, Betty Gardner of Medford, Ore. and Florence Sugar of Maryland; her brother-in-law, Ben Sugar of the United Kingdom and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Sugar; her brothers, Lawrence and Stanley Johnson; her sisters-in-law, Frances, Muriel, Mildred, Gwen and Sissy Sugar and her brothers-in-law, Sam, Mark, Morris, Joe, Mike and Harry Sugar.
Services: Respecting the wishes of Mrs. Sugar, no services are scheduled. McNary's Chapel of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.
SULLIVAN
Patrick Alexandre Sullivan, III (1st of 2 obituaries)
Patrick Alexandre Sullivan, III, of Davis, died Sept. 3, 2003, at age 20.
Born in Montreal, Canada, Mr. Sullivan has lived in Yolo County for the past 8 years. He graduated from Woodland High School and was a former Boy Scout.
Mr. Sullivan is survived by his parents, Sylvie and Patrick Sullivan II of Woodland; sister, Sara Sullivan of Woodland; girlfriend Julie Ketchum and her family of Davis; grandmother, Magella Gagnon, of Montreal, Canada; aunts, Kathleen Nightingale, of Queens N.Y., Diane and Michele Gagnon of Montreal, Canada, Philippe and Gerard Gagnon, Denis Viver, all of Montreal Canada.
He is also survived by cousins, Rosie Nightingale of Queens, N.Y., Simon Bruno and Laurence Gerard, all of Montreal, Canada.
A private service will be held at McNary's Chapel. Memorials may be sent in Patrick's memory to Yolo County Mental Health.
Patrick Alexander Sullivan, III (2nd of 2 obituaries)
Family and friends are mourning the loss of Patrick Alexandre Sullivan III of Davis, who died on Sept. 3, 2003, at age 20.
He was born in Montreal and had lived in Yolo County for the past eight years. He graduated from Woodland High School and was a former Boy Scout.
Those close to him knew him to be an intelligent, thoughtful and sensitive individual, his family says. He was a voracious reader who also liked to write. He enjoyed discussing religion and philosophy.
"Patrick had a boyish smile and sincere praise and encouragement for those around him, " his family says.
His many interests and activities included Rollerblading, hockey, soccer, movie going, music, travel and cooking. He was a member of a band, playing the drums. Last year he was able to indulge his wanderlust during an extended trip to Europe, visiting England, Ireland and France with his girlfriend, Julie, and visiting New York before returning home to Davis.
He is survived by his parents, Sylvie and Patrick Sullivan II of Woodland; sister, Sara Sullivan of Woodland; girlfriend, Julie Ketchum and her family of Davis; grandmother, Magella Gagnon of Montreal; aunts, Kathleen Nightingale of Queens, N.Y., and Diane and Michele Gagnon of Montreal; and uncles Philippe and Gerard Gagnon, and Denis Viver, all of Montreal.
He is also survived by four cousins, Rosie Nightingale of Queens, N.Y., and Simon, Bruno and Laurence Gagnon, all of Montreal.
